MetalJigsaw:Against Ivory Coast actually. Dying minutes goal to drag them to ET. Dying minutes goal to beat them. |

Ejuke plays football like a primary school kid, very lazy and weak on the ball. Flair without work rate. Also very selfish. Simon is past his prime. Onyeka must always play till the end of the game. Ryan Alebiosu should get his debut against Uganda. He is a better right back than Osayi. Nwabali is crazy 🤣🤣🤣😧. Okoye should have been here. Nwabali is injured and out of form. The whistle has blown, and he has tackled the Moroccan player badly. A red card offence. By Meritocracy, it would have been Arthur Okonkwo, Nwabali and Maduka Okoye as goalkeepers in this AFCON. We miss the services of Ola Aina and Frederick Benjamin. Solid defenders. Eric Chelle never learns. Poor game management all the time. He did it with Mali and now he is doing it with the Super Eagles. Why not replace Onyeka with any of Ebenezer Akinsanmiro or Nnamdi? Salim Fago would have done better than Ejuke in this game. I expect Eric Chelle to experiment with the backline of Ryan at Right Back, Bassey at Left Back, Ajayi and Igho at Centre Back. Let's see what other players have to offer against Uganda. After the game against Uganda, no more room for errors. Eric Chelle must know that if it is not broken, then don't fix it. There are some games you don't even make changes to. He is always in a rush to make changes |

minfelix:That's why this win feels like a loss We were in a very strong position 3:1 at 70-80 mins is a very strong position.. Just manage it For me sef, he didn't need to sub out anybody Maybe only osayi |

TheSuperNerd:Chelle altered it because of that moses Simon. Who ought to have retired when ekong left. He's an excess to the squad cos clearly that's Ejuke's position, allow other to shine now. That sub would've been Ejuke and Onyedika. ![]() |

lbrichman2:no nah. He got it with the formation Just his substitution. We are not even blaming those assistant coaches ? What is their job self ?esp those Nigerians . E go shock Una say na them suggest that thing for Eric chellle. Because I don't think a right thinking coach who was able to stifle an all attacking Tunisia side should think that way . Eric Chelle got everything today right. Do you know what it means to play Tunisia the way we did today ? |

When a win feels like a loss... We were cruising to victory in the 70's minutes and boom! We gave it away. That 3-goal lead was a bold statement but alas! Anyways, we got the three points. |

semid4lyfe:He wanted first choice ke? He has some gall, making demands when him mind no strong. Somebody that abandoned his First Choice jersey because of small social media drags that time? If he had not opted out of the last AFCON on top mental health, we wouldn’t be dealing with Nwabali today. Anyway, he should just be posting TikTok thirst traps dey go, as Anthony Joshua gave him visibility. All the best to him at his club. They should have tried to use him for WCQ small before this AFCON. Chelle no even say make he scout Goalies for us, just carry Uzoho that is barely a professional footballer, and that other guy who’s more famous for looking like Onana, than any actual goalkeeping talent, to serious tournament. Times like this, I miss Rohr |

Napoleon55:Yes na osihmen is our magic wand in this team even if he’s not scoring no team dares try any rubbish. Congo became more adventurous when osihmen went out in the playoffs Chelle is a spoiler when you think he’s got something covered he brings another poison. The man must go, I’ve seen through him enough |

The only sub for Onyeka that will make sense was an Nnadi introduction. Alas, Ndidi had no business committing that foul that led to their 1st goal. |

MetalJigsaw:That was against Ivory Coast, the host. His last game with Mali was not at AFCON. He was sacked after the Madagascar match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers when his team played a goalless draw |

We need to see Ryan Alebiosu against Uganda.... He can't be worse than Osayi .. |

minfelix:It's true sha. This Tunisian side didn't concede a single goal in their world cup qualifiers, zero goals conceded in 10 matches so for us to score three goals is a big feat, our attack is one of, if not even the best in this afcon, if Chelle can sort out the defence and start making like for like subs we can go all the way |

I didn't watch the match but omo see that pass Iwobi gave Osimhen. Iwobi saw that the defender had turned his back on him to track Osimhen and quickly laid the pass by that defender for Osimhen. Na kura sense be that. |

Mujtahida:Baba pity onyedika and ejuke. There are games ejuke will be handed. It quite unfortunate Eric Chelle made the wrong substitution today |

Lookman's intensity is underrated. Baba de chase ball like say match bonus de for duels! I know it doesn't look like it but I really wish we win this AFCON. |

Wait what do you mean someone rejected call up because he was not guaranteed starting place, do they do this in other countries or just Nigeria |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 11:55pm On Dec 27, 2025 |
Onyedika done go two Afcons now, e no see ball play. Not even a minute. This is an indictment on the coach. Why should I invite a player that I cannot use? Makes no sense to me |

Rohr really loved super eagles. The man really tried . At least he made effort to lure Tobias lawal. I wonder why we are not talking to Arthur okonkwo. I was thinking the guy has switched allegiance to Nigeria |
