The only sub for Onyeka that will make sense was an Nnadi introduction.

Alas, Ndidi had no business committing that foul that led to their 1st goal.

On the bright side something is beginning to click in our midfield and I like how Iwobi is beginning to take leadership shielding the ball like mikel those days. Even the osayi we are blaming tried his best linking with the midfield and attack. That was a beauty to behold. Ndidi has finally come to the party and we may be seeing more goals from him.

Akor deserves to be in our starting 11 he’s bringing much into the side and as for Lookman and osihmen just leave them to cook. Chelle is the Judas iscariot. I can only pray he doesn’t sell us for 30 pieces of silver as the tournament progresses but after this Afcon no matter the outcome make the man Dey go. It’s obvious he ruined our World Cup dreams! God punish am!

We don't need to have players at the same levels as them
We just need competent substitutes
For me, these 4 players should complete all our games

Lookman's intensity is underrated. Baba de chase ball like say match bonus de for duels!

I know it doesn't look like it but I really wish we win this AFCON.
If we can be consistent like we played in the 70 minutes of this game, we will play in the final

Mai Gurlll!!! We don miss u tire. I have.

TheGoodJoe, Icon4s, and Joebie, see who we have here... lol

safarigirl:
He wanted first choice ke? He has some gall, making demands when him mind no strong. Somebody that abandoned his First Choice jersey because of small social media drags that time? If he had not opted out of the last AFCON on top mental health, we wouldn’t be dealing with Nwabali today.

Anyway, he should just be posting TikTok thirst traps dey go, as Anthony Joshua gave him visibility. All the best to him at his club. They should have tried to use him for WCQ small before this AFCON. Chelle no even say make he scout Goalies for us, just carry Uzoho that is barely a professional footballer, and that other guy who’s more famous for looking like Onana, than any actual goalkeeping talent, to serious tournament.

Times like this, I miss Rohr

Aside from Lookman's overall impressive showing today, I must particularly acknowledge his insane and unrelenting press throughout his stay on the pitch.

Boy's got some points to prove. grin

Ejuke plays football like a primary school kid, very lazy and weak on the ball. Flair without work rate. Also very selfish.

Simon is past his prime.

Onyeka must always play till the end of the game.

Ryan Alebiosu should get his debut against Uganda. He is a better right back than Osayi.

Nwabali is crazy 🤣🤣🤣😧. Okoye should have been here. Nwabali is injured and out of form. The whistle has gone off, and he tackled the Moroccan player badly. A red card offence. By Meritocracy, it would have been Arthur Okonkwo, Nwabali and Maduka Okoye as goalkeepers in this AFCON.

We miss the services of Ola Aina and Frederick Benjamin. Solid defenders.

Eric Chelle never learns. Poor game management all the time. He did it with Mali and now he is doing it with the Super Eagles.
Why not replace Onyeka with any of Ebenezer Akinsanmiro or Nnamdi?
Salim Fago would have done better than Ejuke in this game.

I expect Eric Chelle to experiment with the backline of Ryan at Right Back, Bassey at Left Back, Ajayi and Igho at Centre Back.
Let's see what other players have to offer against Uganda.
After the game against Uganda, no more room for errors.
the reason I have never been a fan of his

He plays secondary school football

Fact remains we currently don't have that. Only Onazi injury and we collapsed in 2014. Still fresh in memory. Replacement o not competition.

Competition is near equal in tech and performance na.
Replacement is mostly near in tech and near in performance.

If only a player of Onyeka level was on the bench in 2014 after Onazi was injured. The game just collapse from there. Chai.

Personally im expecting nothing much from Ndidi. All well and good if he dazzles but guy is no longer at that level. Let's not wait for KO to do i told you so.

What I noticed, especially in the first half is that, Osayi was mostly alone on the right wing and was scared to venture forward on the flank.

In fact I have lost confidence totally, it looks like when you think the team has begun to click then Chelle goes into a coven to cast a spell.

Before the game started I was so nervous even my wife was begging me to calm down. When we were 2-0 nil up I said it here we just need to keep possession and wound up the game. I had concluded that the eagles have wrapped this up. I was even shouting that osihmen must not be substituted cos I know Chelle I didn’t even know he had other demonic antics. Noooooo this is a disaster. This man will finish us up soon. Dem send am to destroy us.
.

Bàbá take am easy ooo with Chelle. Carthage Eagles no be small teamooo. Like someone pointed out we don't expect Tunisia not to fight back, I think anxiety got d better of Chelle.

Yeah. Let's not also forget those that click immediately they debut and stay on till. Overall, recruiting na all time low. For now we face AFCON sha. I heard some legends talked to Bassey that year. Talk made the difference.

Against a faster counter attacking Tunisia that would have been suicidal. Dude helped in keeping possession for us
