As at today, so far no one has more G+A in Afcon 2025 than Ademola Lookman (4)

Vs Tanzania ⚽️
Vs Tunisia🅰️🅰️⚽️

4 - 2 goals, 2 assists.

A tournament Super Beast.

but same nobody don score 5goals for this afcon…Nigeria is leading in that
We are becoming too predictable all what any team needs to do is to be patient with us till the 70th minute and start hitting us from all angles cos they know by then Chelle would have sold the game to them by collapsing the midfield!

FIFA and IFAB really need to train referees to improve their interpretation of the handball rule and taking penalty decisions.

There's no consistency in interpretation, and it feels like referees are making decisions based on discretion.

That penalty call against Nigeria was not a penalty.
It's perplexing, man. Even the VAR is confused. sad

his speed and crosses. Omo he's still one of the best fullback crossers we've ever had imo. Answer to prayer he was.
Smooth player!
Brought peace and calm to that left back position
I loved his crosses
Classy player!!

We are a top side sir. We can’t be leading 3-0 and almost throw it away, even DRC, Egypt, Senegal or even Burkina Faso can’t be this poor haba.

What if Lookman goal didn’t enter, game would have ended 2-2 after 2 nil up no I can’t accept this trash. And I assure you it will happen again. It has become a pattern.
bro Afcon is humbling ooo….what happened to us can legit happen to these teams you mentioned oo….like with their games we have watched so far…if they meet their fellow African power house teams…they are also capable of playing 3-0 to 3-2 or even 3-3 ooo….Afcon is humbling o

I have read a lot of criticisms on Chelle regarding his game management and this is my perspective.

The Tunisians were mounting a lot of pressure on the flanks, and Chelle needed to foil the pressure.
Ndidi was even out of his position to defend the flanks.
That was the motive behind the substitutions Chelle made.

Again, in competitions there is what we call the game momentum. The momentum of the game shifted for obvious reasons and the Tunians siezed it to see what they can grab.
Meli, are you trying to justify why he brought on EJUKE and Simon? 🤔🤔

Senegal went 3-0 up against Botswana did they crumble? Tunisia was there for the complete taking. I was listening to Brila fm and julius aghaowa was in the studio at 3-0 he said he was even expecting one more goal. All of them shock for studio with the way things went and julius said the game was never going that way.

God bless you….Momentum shifted, Tunisians may not be our archrivals like Ghana and Cameroon….but omo they are part of our sworn rivals in afcon and qualifiers oo
remember the WCQ in 2009 in Abuja
Nig 1-0 Tun
Nig 1-1 Tun
Nig 2-1 Tun
Nig 2-2 Tun
i knew they were gonna fight back which will change the momentum of the game….i knew the game wont just end on a bed of roses

Yeah that's better
This conceded goals table is a negative stat
We need to become more stingy in our defence
Chelle has to fix that
yeah sure he has to fix that 👍

Simon even offers some periodic shine
But you see that Ejuke?
He should be booted out after this AFCON
This is how you congratulate the man who scored the winning goal against Gabon.
Do you know how much Ejuke contributed to the team's defense in the minutes he played against Tunisia.
He did what he was asked. He is not that easily dribbled.
He played according to the instructions he was given and could have gotten a goal.

Watch the build up to our third goal
It started with Onyeka who intercepted a pass and then Osimhen laid it off for Iwobi and ran into space..

Onyeka was cutting out passing lanes, marking and doing the dirty job
Had no business subbing him..
See here..

The man has made me appreciate headers abeg. Between players, lunging backwards, picking the right spot.

I only beg him to add shots to his arsenal

Bros Botswana is an african minnow, Tunisia is an Afcon giant/winners….no dey compare them.
We have played 4-2 with Tunisia before at afcon…we were leading them like 2-0 and they tried doing a come back but we kept scoring them….we played 2-2 at world cup qualifiers 2009, we played a 1-1 at afcon 2004 semifinal they won us on penalties, we met again at afcon 2006 playing 1-1 in the quarterfinals but we on penalties…..they are not botwana that senegal played….Lets senegal lead DRC 3-0 lets see wether they will end the game 3-0😃😅
