Let’s keep up defending this crap like we did till we were edged out of the World Cup qualification. It’s easy to defeat this team just wait till the coach bring in his wingers and take midfielders out. Not a surprise anymore! Am even surprised he didn’t remove osihmen today cos he’s always full of surprises
if Chelle had started the WCQ qualification, we for don qualify tay tay before we go even dey dream say SA field ineligible player….no team in that our world cup qualifiers group will collect 3-0 from chelle and come to draw the match…las las SA can just fight like tunisia….na 1-0,1-0 all of them fit equalize

I hope Osimhen works on his reactive nature sha. That yellow card was totally unnecessary. If it made him miss next match in ko stages, no apology on IG or snap go epp o.
For those defending Chelle, continue

people just want to be heard and out of their emotions they say rubbish.

The way we transited the ball from defence to the final third was a scene that was very rare in our football, but now we carry it out with ease.
This is the sweetest of football that i have seen of the Super Eagles in a very long while.

He did not see any positive to comment about, just the opening of his mouth to talk about a scenario that is beyond his understanding.
The wingers did their job.

To kill the momentum of the Tunisians we needed wingers with the energy to run into space, to run with the ball and make something happen and we almost succeeded.

Only Ejuke dropped 3 defensive contributions. Simon Moses surprisingly dropped Zero defensive contributions. Chelle should not have brought on 2 wingers at the same time. One was enough.

The other should have been a midfielder with emphasis on defense and ball holding/retention.
I wasn't even expecting Moses Simon.

Samuel Chukwueze provides the best defensive cover of all our wingers, and helps so much in midfield.
He is the most ideal for situations like this. He can turn events around.

I didn't watch the match but omo see that pass Iwobi gave Osimhen. Iwobi saw that the defender had turned his back on him to track Osimhen and quickly laid the pass by that defender for Osimhen. Na kura sense be that.
iwobi was superb today.

Chelle needs to take time with his substitutions sha. There was no need to destabilize the team with those attacking subs.

Let’s see more of our midfield. This is a long tournament, need fresh legs

I don't know if you missed the point where Ejuke won a duel in the very zones Osayi was supposed to man primarily.
Ejuke provided the needed cover required of him.

I figured Chelle wanted someone to run with the ball. Ejuke for Akor was fine. Simon for Onyeka made no sense IMO

We just beat a North African powerhouse, in North Africa let's put things into perspective before coming for Chelle
While true, we did not need to sweat at the end.

And let’s be very honest. Tunisia is a “powerhouse” in that they are consistent qualifiers for the AFCON and WC but they don’t actually play ball.

They’ve won one AFCON and been to two finals.

Yes Naija dey gall hand but we really arent in the same tier as them.

To be honest. I really only see Egypt and sometimes Algeria as North African powerhouses, especially at the AFCON.

Qualfying for the tournament and doing well in it at two different things.

I don’t even know when Tunisia became powerhouse even if its club football on the continent with likes of Esperance I can understand but national team football? I laugh 😆

I have analysed this situation over and over.
A midfielder will not present as the effective weapon against the momentum of the Tunisians as well as plug the zones they were exploiting.

Wingers will not only plug the zones, but will provide more attacking threat that can push the Tunisians back.

What the Tunisians had wasn't game tactics, they have been beaten to it, what they had was just momentum. If we had managed to score just one, which we can, they will look for their sleeping mats.

The Super Eagles is not a team that can survive being on the back foot for long even with our midfielders.

Chelle has done a wonderful job as the SE head coach. He isn’t perfect but he is far better than the amunekes and finidis of this world. Dude has one of the best wins ratio of any SE manager in history. He has two in two in this AFCON. Everybody na ikorodu pep guardiola for here. Try coach your compound team if you go see one goal score

least he should have given Chelle credit for the way he got the team playing. Yes, the team imploded but we can't take away the good work done. He will learn from it. Some times these things take time.

@emboldened.... Ejuke was enough for this. Only him actually defended and still provided an outlet. Simon did nothing defensively. Infact, even Chukwueze would have been a better sub than Simon.

Onyeka needed to be replaced by a midfield profile who will also help out in those gaps. Not a simon.

Good display from the Super Eagles: Redemption Song well sang. In the match against Uganda we should see EBENEZER AKINSANMIRO, TOCHUKWU NNADI AND RAPHAEL ONYEDIKA HOPEFULLY. WE ALSO NEED OSIMHEN STARTING FROM THE BENCH.
LET'S SEE WHAT THEY CAN OFFER.
Eric Chelle may have some few blemishes but if I am not mistaken he has done better than Westerhof so far in terms of Results from number of matches played.
The team may not be termed excellent yet but if Chelle stays on, I believe we can conquer the World by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.
Congratulations Nigeria.

Fisayo Dairo should take a chill pill abeg. Chelle delivered a 79mins dynamic 4-3-1-2 variant masterclass and utterly dominated, choked and limited the Tunisians. Credits to him where it is due please.
He showed in those 79mins that indeed he can execute a sound game plan against any top side on the continent and prevail.

His only error was misjudging the tactical effect his subs would make. Ejuke for Akor was the right sub for the most parts. But not Simon for Onyeka. The Simon sub was disastrous on all counts.

He can be knocked for the way he didnt see out the game comfortably but should not be discredited for the brilliant first half we executed alongside a sound 34mins of the 2nd half.

Yes Chukwueze.
Even Alebiosu can ply the right midfield, and Ejuke can play on the LHS.

Morocco o
Egypt o
Senegal o
Tunisia o

I’m not afraid of the big teams

When eagles see their mate them go ball well

Na those low block playing countries with jam body and counter attack mentality I’m afraid
