We are a top side sir. We can’t be leading 3-0 and almost throw it away, even DRC, Egypt, Senegal or even Burkina Faso can’t be this poor haba.

What if Lookman goal didn’t enter, game would have ended 2-2 after 2 nil up no I can’t accept this trash. And I assure you it will happen again. It has become a pattern.
DRC threw away a 2 goals lead to loose to Senegal 2-3 in front of their fans

Senegal went 3-0 up against Botswana did they crumble? Tunisia was there for the complete taking. I was listening to Brila fm and julius aghaowa was in the studio at 3-0 he said he was even expecting one more goal. All of them shock for studio with the way things went and julius said the game was never going that way.
are you trying to compare Botswana and Tunisia??

How I wish we had this energy during the World Cup qualifiers. Glad the boys made it to the knockout stages. Let’s start an entire different team against- Uganda . Lord knows I want DR Congo or South Africa or even the Ivory Coast . The trophy is coming to Nigeria

2 different coaches, sorry I think it’s an indictment on the player
Bro, I tire but my point is that if the coach knows he's that poor that he cannot play him, why invite him?

At least he should have given Chelle credit for the way he got the team playing. Yes, the team imploded but we can't take away the good work done. He will learn from it. Some times these things take time.
dont mind that bros, because Tunisia tried to fight back, Chelle is now this and that…atleast Chelle is not Rohr that flung 4-0 to 4-4 from an Ekuke african team

If they had beaten us today it won't have been seen as an upset
funny enough many people here after the Tanzania game and also seeing how Tunisia flogged uganda all gave up on Nigeria beating Tunisia…sir pls just try and go read peoples post match criticism and see how people wrote off super eagles against Tunisia…..because we don dominate them and led them 3-0 automatically they are now pushovers…

My review after Tanzania, i personally said “im disappointed at how we threw chances away but this super eagles create and dominate games, bring Tunisia on”

Meliforme:
I have analysed this situation over and over.
A midfielder will not present as the effective weapon against the momentum of the Tunisians as well as plug the zones they were exploiting.

Wingers will not only plug the zones, but will provide more attacking threat that can push the Tunisians back.

What the Tunisians had wasn't game tactics, they have been beaten to it, what they had was just momentum. If we had managed to score just one, which we can, they will look for their sleeping mats.

The Super Eagles is not a team that can survive being on the back foot for long even with our midfielders.
I disagree. A winger and midfielder would have been fine to bring in. But bringing in two wingers and altering the shape was not needed.

We already showed in the first half we are capable of possessing the ball and taking the air out of the game. That was what we needed.

Also, Chelle has a 28 man squad. If you won’t try new faces when you are 3-0 up in the 2nd group stage match and have qualified for the R016 then when will you?

The likes of Onyedika and Akinsanmiro are playing club football at a high level. They should be able to see 10-15 mins of a match we are leading my 3 goals.

I said it before and I’ll say it again

Morocco o

Senegal o
Tunisia o

I’m not afraid of the big teams

When eagles see their mate them go ball well

Na those low block playing countries with jam body and counter attack mentality I’m afraid

I told y’all here
You are correct. We play to our opponent which is a terrible habit.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by oloriooko(m): 7:28am On Dec 28, 2025
what happened to SE against Tunisia is an eye opener and a loophole for other teams to explore
even our coach lost his cool, made wrong subs and could not coordinate himself

we cannot win this tournament (though i never thought we could) for obvious reasons which i have been shouting about ever since
our back line is weak, our MF easily become non existing and our goalie is unstable

we should not celebrate making it out of the stage group, it should be natural except we decided to embarrass ourselves the way we did the WC qualifiers with the NFF being the main culprit

Victor Osimhen is genuinely Ballon d’Or material. Knowing Nigeria won’t be at the World Cup hurts even more because the world won’t get to see him on football’s biggest stage. Reminds me of Shevchenko of Ukraine
