A tragic incident has left Oben Village in Benin City, Edo State, reeling after a 43-year-old man, Eghosa Osas, who had recently returned from abroad to celebrate Christmas with his family, was allegedly killed by his childhood friend, Amadin William, popularly known as Old Soldier.

The incident reportedly occurred on December 27, 2025, during a housewarming party. Sources say the victim excused himself from the gathering before being cornered and fatally attacked. The suspect reportedly fled the scene but was apprehended in Benin City the following day. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and the suspect is expected to face charges once the inquiry is complete.

According to the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem, the case was reported by the victim’s elder brother. The suspect allegedly carried out the attack when the victim was alone after leaving the party.

I clicked to check out the country referred to as abroad in the piece .. Nigerians and words. Little wonder a passport is referred to as International passport by Nigerians..

Best decision I made is to end any friendship I have with anybody immediately me or the person leaves what brought us together maybe in the university, school, nysc, business e. T.c provided that I'm not going to see you for the period of 1 year I have nothing to do with you again. I won't even call the person and if the person calls I won't pick his or her call because he's already a history to me.
