I was agreeing with you but I will not say Nigerians have a wonder because of the term INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT. I have to give consideration to the use of language.

In Nigeria, if you tell someone to bring their passport, they will bring a passport photograph for you. To distinguish the travel document from a passport, we call it international passport.

This is a function of language and I will not blame Nigerians for this use. After all, when travelling you are also told to affix a passport to some documents.

In Nigeria, ‘passport’ often refers to a passport photograph. This dual meaning likely explains why the travel document is commonly called an ‘international passport. This usage reflects a common phenomenon in sociolinguistics known as semantic extension, where a word acquires additional meanings within a particular speech community. In Nigeria, the term “passport” has evolved to also mean passport photograph in everyday usage. As a result of this dual meaning, speakers often specify “international passport” to distinguish the travel document from the photograph.

In contrast, in the UK and the US, “passport” retains a single meaning the official travel document while “passport photo” remains a fixed compound phrase. This difference explains how language adapts to local communicative needs rather than reflecting incorrect usage.
How does this below jive with your long thesis?

It's okay to have friends as long as they are doing better than you - if you can handle the depression

Re: Man Returns From Abroad For Christmas, Allegedly Killed By Childhood Friend by MemoriesAndMe:
The more reason anyone abroad needs to be careful around whoever they hang around with whenever they are back in Nigeria.

Childhood friends, old school mates, street friends, family members etc are all inclusive.

Some people just have a personal hatred for anyone from abroad which is wrong.
Not everyone is like that, but many still think that way.

Several of those from abroad that got kidnapped, scammed, exploited or killed made it happen because they exposed themselves to enemies like those that knew them from their early beginnings they trusted. Some of them have their agenda towards them already because they think they're entitled to everything for free from them from someone they never did anything for.
Some diasporans simply brought new enemies to themselves from their generosities.

How do I even explain that? Lemme try

#1. You can never satisfy people.

No amount of money you ever send to the so-called childhood friends/relatives/old school mates/ family members etc to support them will ever be enough for them. They will keep demanding for more and more till you lock up and block them.
People have all sorts of habits - gambling, drugs, womanizing, shopping, clubbing, drinking etc. They won't tell you that's what they spend your money on, they will eventually drain you if you continue to attend to their demands.

Some even want anyone abroad to pay their kids school fees and rents till eternity, yet they keep having more and more wives and kids. Even Dangote will be broke to support such types forever.
Their friends or family members abroad suddenly become their enemy for not constantly sending them free money.

#2. Some people are naturally lazy

Yes, some people don't want to work - begging is more lucrative to them and those abroad are their first targets. They prefer someone that will give them free N100k plus from abroad to someone in Nigeria that will give them N1k. When maga no gree pay them again from abroad, he's suddenly an enemy to them.

#3. Learn to say "No".
When you finally stand up and say "NO" to their demands, you are their target. Bringing you down is what they want next.

#4. Avoid those with the entitlement mindset.
Nobody stopped them from going abroad themselves, they just prefer the free money from folks they manage to establish contacts with abroad and turn them to their repetitive maga. Don't they know the way to the embassies?

Don't they know the way to the airports? Many of them don't want to try at all and suddenly want to blame others that took the risks and travelled abroad for their misfortunes.

#5. Avoid folks you haven't seen nor heard from in so long because they may lead to your downfall.

The old folks you knew before you left the country may be different from what they are now.

Many are unsuccessful gamblers, swindlers, drug addicts, gigolos, runs boys/girls, ritualists ,armed robbers, kidnappers, traffickers etc.
Some can even plan your kidnap before your arrival - that's how desperate some folks are.
That's how they survive and maintain their chosen lifestyles.

Letting certain folks know ure even around is already a threat to you. If you get too close and they tell you their secrets and want you to be a part of it, you say "No", isn't that a threat to your life already?

Just stay put and go out far if you want to have fun, so folks in your immediate vicinity don't even know who you are or where you just came from.

Not everyone likes you. Many eyes are red right now.
So many stories out there about diasporans returning to Nigeria for Xmas getting extorted, jumped, kidnapped for ransom or killed.

Not everyone likes you and you definitely will be surrounded by many hypocrites that behave like they care, but they can set you up for their personal gains anytime within your short stay if you get too loud

Stay on low-key and return to your base in peace.

Peace.

Fear jealous and envious friends and people.

This is why I don't allow people into my space or life any how, especially struggling people. Majority are always desperately evil, filled with jealousy and enviness.

Take your spirituality seriously. If you are prayerful and always keep yourself pure, there is no way you won't dream about this before it happens.

Since I stopped following women (you know what I meant), there is no night I will sleep that I won't dream.

Don't let anyone deceive you. The spiritual controls the physical. If you don't dream, it means your spiritual life is dead.

Most times, you can only dream regularly if you are sexually pure.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

T.c provided that I'm not going to see you for the period of 1 year I have nothing to do with you again. I won't even call the person and if the person calls I won't pick his or her call because he's already a history to me.

This shows the kind of person you are ( and the people that liked your comment).

You are not a loyal , reliable, dependable and nice person.

So within just one year of no communication, the person is now in the past? With this your mentality and the xxxxts that liked your comment, it will be difficult for you guys to make it in life.

Bravo brother. Nice explanation.

I don't know why people don't like meaningful posts like these.

You will see one senseless post raking in 50-100 Likes. But meaningful posts like these, nobody will press the like button.

That shows how shallow most people minds are. That's another reason why someone will start creating meaningful contents and no one will watch, but when one displays madness and foolishness on social media, you will see the person having millions of followers, Likes and views.

Foolishness, madness and display of nudity is what sell these days.

It is what it is. Once again, bravo 👏 for this detailed post.

First of all, this is an evil act and the culprit deserves the worst death penalty. Secondly, it’s a shame that you threw your entire race under the bus based on a story you just read. Human cruelty is not confined to any one race, there are countless tragic cases across all races, which is very sad and evil.

For example, here are two unrelated incidents perpetrated by members of the white race:

A man in Nottingham, UK threw petrol and fire through a letter door hole and killed a mother and two daughters: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-65988132

A woman in Northampton killed and buried her boyfriend in her garden, then pretended to be him in chats with his parents: BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-68760747

These examples show that evil acts are committed by humans, not by a specific race.

Rip to the dead.

But we need more insight into the story.

What transpired between them?

Did Abroad guy kpai person come Japa thinking time would take care of everything?

Is he an azzaman that carried raba meant for everybody Japa?

Is this cult related and old scores settled?

How did he offend the so called childhood friend?

The post never indicated robbery or anything like that?

What happened gangangan?

Well..

Childhood friend looks like he's ready for any outcome.

Happy new year to him in prison in advance.

You are missing the point. They call passport the travel document while the photo is called passport photo. If you go to the embassy and they want your passport photo, they don't call it passport, they say PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH. Nigerians will call it passport.

In your photo, it is clearly written as Passport Book vs Card, not Passport.
