You like civility? Are you kidding me? Peeps like you can't take a quarter of what you dish out. You are here evberyday talking down on the country, govt, NFF etc but this armless quote offends you? Are you for real. Guy shift one side. "Choking the midfield is not being cautious is simply creating balance. Every successful endeavors requires balance. For 75 minutes we had that balance and we dominated. Tunisia changed to 4-3-3, and you as a coach thought the best reaction is to go 4-4-2? Haba. Even someone without football knowledge knows 4-3-3 is the antidote to 442." Joebie: |

These north African teams should start getting ready to be knocked out one by one. |

Bossoflife25:You are the one making the error in your judgement. In as much as you need to defend you also need to attack. Wingers can do both. You do not have to defend all through. Eric Chelle also brought in a fifth defender in Chidozie Awaziem who can deliver long balls to forwards. His game plan seem obvious. |

I just hope this our team is prepared to withstand constant pressure. Because if we face any of these nations, the intensity of the game is going to be insane o. |

I addressed it in my other post. Read this quote "Choking the midfield is not being cautious is simply creating balance. Every successful endeavors requires balance. For 75 minutes we had that balance and we dominated. Tunisia changed to 4-3-3, and you as a coach thought the best reaction is to go 4-4-2? Haba. Even someone without football knowledge knows 4-3-3 is the antidote to 442." He should have brought on another DM for Onyeka a winger for Akor. Simple maths! Meliforme: |

This is what we talking about! The CAM coach brought another AM (no 20) for the number 14. Great!Midfield is where games are won and lost! Simple math Bossoflife25: |

Moniter0:They weren't posing any threat yet the got their only legit goal then. Ndidi left his central position to cut off their forays through the flanks, that's how the freekick was conceded. Ndidi's numerous involvements got him battered, he was touching his eyes ( maybe they poked him ) and then he miskicked. |

This will be my last take that will border on Eric Chelle's substitutions Someone wrongly pointed out that Frank Onyeka was the one doing all the mopping and dirty work. That is a complete lie. Had it been that Alex lwobi and Frank Onyeka were involved defensively as Wilfred Ndidi, our fullbacks wouldn't have faced the magnitude of pressure they faced against Tunisia. Eric Chelle's introduction of fast wingers was the best call. I will no longer attend to this matter. |

The bias toward North African teams at this AFCON is ridiculous. It really feels like they’re pushing for one of them to win. We’ve seen it with Egypt, Morocco, and now Tunisia and now Algeria , penalties being given for no real reason🤣 What a Mess. Great game by Ivory Coast and Cameroon |

Odunayaw:I couldn't believe it when I found out too. Chelle needs to find a way to reduce the way we concede, thankfully our attack is already good enough for this tournament |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:40am On Dec 29, 2025 |
Frank Onyeka with 7 defensive contribitions had more contributions to defence before being subbed out than anyone except Ndidi (12) and Bruno (7). He also made more interceptions than anyone (4). One of such interceptions started the buildup for Nigeria's 3rd goal. So you lie when you paint the fallacy that Onyeka was not involved defensively all in a bid to make Eric's Onyeka sub justified. Meliforme, you lie. Meliforme: |

Watched Algeria vs Burkina Faso, and all i can say is that AFCON referees favors North African countries in this competition. Any small contact yellow they gave a yellow card or check for a red card. |
