That's your right

But Igbos don't like the direction Nigeria is going and want out at least majority of us... We don't like you and don't share your value system as Nigerians

We have different views of life
First, if you really want out, pls tell all your people to move back to your enclave. You cannot go about telling people that you want to be left alone yet you are all over Nigeria.
Secondly, tell your elected representatives to call for independence in the House and senate. We cannot rely on some miscreants who ate not elected by the Igbo people.

You cannot expect elected members from other regions to make that call for you. You have to do it.
Just because you want out doesn't mean Nigeria will just let you walk away. When Delta people tried to break away , Ojukwu and Ironsi didn't allow them. In fact Boro was killed for this reason.
Many people in California and Texas will love to have their own separate countries but fo you think the US government will allow that to happen? H3ll no.
When you had power , you loed Nigeria but once you are out of power then you want to leave. Life doesn't work that way bro.
Oh, also you are trying to force others who are not Igbos into your Biafra, you think those people will just lay down and allow you to fo that? You think any responsible Nigerian government will allow that?
It doesn't work like that anywhere in the world, go and read history.

But all in all, your first step is to have all Igbo s move out of Nigeria and back to your land, then you can truly start from there. You cannot be on my land while crying that I should leave you alone. Nope

First we tried moving to our enclave in 1966 you all rounded us up and tried to starve us to death so no we won't do that again

People who want independent country of California or Texas are less than 40% if they ever become majority they would get it

It's not by force to share a country especially since we both don't like each other

Igbos major problem is inferiority complex, they always play the victim card when things don't favor them and claim what belongs to others even when they cannot allow anyone claim theirs.

No state in the South East is NO MANs LAND but they can say another person's ancestry land is a NO MANs LAND just because the landlords of the land accepted them with open arms and gave them the same privileges enjoyed by the indigenous people.

They are a group of people so desperate to be successful even when it means selling drugs that can kill millions of people including their people.

Only a very handful of them are NOT tribalistic, they are taught how to be tribalistic from childhood...who to play with and who not to play with.

The only good thing about them is that they are industrious and have beautiful and well mannered women as wives.

I have a few Igbo friends, So, I know what I am talking about.

Exactly, especially the ekumeku war that lasted for over 31 years from 1881 to 1914 with the British army where they lost many soldiers and officers to Igbo warriors.
The British empire swore not to ever forgive the Igbo for standing up against them.

This is why every Igbo person anywhere in the world carry themselves with pride and honor. Our ancestors fought subjugation, humiliation and enslavement when others submitted
But the Igbo were also SELLING EACH OTHER as slaves to the same British.

I mean Igbo people SELLING other Igbo people as SLAVES to the British.

Yes, most other tribes in West Africa did the same thing to fellow Black Africans.

There's NOTHING the White Man did to the Igbo that's worse than selling your brethren into slavery.

The White Man came to Africa to save Negroes from other Negroes.

And it was the Igbo that insisted at the Lancaster Conference that Nigeria MUST remain in Perpetual Unity.

https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/04/27/flashback-why-i-opposed-awolowo-on-secession-zik/?amp=1

The Sarduana and Awolowo wanted secession, Zik the ELECTED leader of the Igbo insisted on Unity. Where Malaysia and India split into more manageable pieces, the Igbo tried to use trickery to take over an Empire created by the British. Nigeria of today is the result.

This is like Buhari & Tinubu telling Nigerians in 2015 "There is nothing like fuel subsidy, Fuel subsidy doesn't exist".

Now y'all crawl back into your huts and holes and let us rest.

And don't quote me, just take the lesson and wisdom and do something worthwhile with it. Like, read some history on the internet. It's free.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Leave that thing. Read and comprehend. The British did the South South and South East bad, they run us street by that useless amalgamation by Lugard.

The region known as Southern region would have been millions of miles away in physical and human capital development if not for that useless amalgamation.

For instance, Nigeria cannot account for it's human population due to the reckless birth rate and uneducated people in the North which in turn breed criminality.

Enough being said here. All I know is that we don't have anything in common and would be better off without them.
Its been 60years since Independence and anyone still blaming the British for anything in 2026 isnt serious

Plus, there are many other ethnic groups in Nigeria that cant even boast of 1/3 of what the Igbos have, how come they dont go about doing this?

I would never navigate life with a victim mentality where i blame outsiders for my own shortcomings. Not an enviable trait

There is something Igbos gain in the current Nigeria and that is a high representation in government leading to appointments, government projects and etc. Compare NW population to SE and compare the number of states. If taxes were being used to run the country then the discrepancy will become more noticeable

Don't Igbos get tired always seeking victims?

-Was it the British that made you lose the south south alliance?

-Was it the British that made azikwe contesting head of state in South West this leaving his own region bereft of quality leadership?

-Were you not the first president?

-Were you not the first of alot of development in Nigeria so much that your leader boasted of being the one to save the black man race?

-Was it the British that sponsored the massive brain drain of the south east to other regions which still happens till date?

- Was it the British that made you reject the secession clause that could have allowed you shaped your region destiny?

-zik and ojukwu ruined your destiny in the 90s, you allowed Nnamdi kanu ruined it in the 20s.

Your leaders took a lot of senseless decisions and miss strategic decisions pre independence of which the pains you will inherit till tommrow.

Are igbos up to 40 percent of the Nigerian population? You are not in the majority.

Pls tell your elected reps to call for the independence on the floor of the National assembly. Online talk is not the way to do it.
They tried to starve you in 1966? You conveniently left out the fact that Ojukwu started a war that he couldn't finish. You tried to include all of Eastern Nigeria into your Biafra by force but you expect the government yo fold their hands and be looking like moomoo something that Ojukwu and Ironssi didn't do when Boro tried for the same thing. Pls stop.

The Ekumeku War (1883-1914) was a fierce, prolonged resistance by the Anioma Igbo people (Western Igbo) in present-day Delta State, Nigeria, against British colonial encroachment. But this same delta people are saying they are not igbo so why calling them igbohuh

Nice piece but one error. The Igbos only received a pound £1 and not £20. And they had their properties stolen from them when they returned especially in Lagos. Eleganza Plaza Apapa is one of them.

If there is no ethnic cleansing, no igbo will ask for secession.
The north is known for ethnic cleansing through out history and you expect igbos to keep quit.
Igbos value sanctity of lives and development unlike the north.
If you truly need generational peace in nigeria, restructure or divide the shithole to save the disgraced corntry from future terrorism that will befall it cos of neglect of education in the north.

That can be said about Hausas but maybe your fore-fathers forgot to tell you that Yoruba return everything that belong to your fore-fathers after war and still add their own join. but what did your elders taught you?? they taught you how to hate the same people that safe them after war. Please read history or ask the elders in your family before you comment or start your usual way (Insults).

Quite apt! Despite all the attempts to destroy the Igbos, stealing what they had during and after the genocide, Igbos are still by far, the more economically successful as a group. How do you steal from someone, add it to yours, strip them of everything, only for them to catch up to you and surpass you?? God does not sleep!

The igbos killed all the leaders of other ethnic groups in the January 15, 1966 igbo coup.

This is the beginning of the problem we now face.

Now, if you called Nigeria a shithole county and your fathers and mothers still live inside the same country, does it mean that they are all shit living in the hole?

I like the direction in which Nigeria is moving towards. If you poll 1000 American is right now if they like where Amerca is, I can guarantee you that 60 percent will say no.
Almost no country in the world right now is perfect. What's important is making sure that the right policies are in place for the long haul.
Nigeria is finally moving towards the kind of economy that we have in the US and other advanced countries. It eill take time ,but we cannot go back to the old voodoo economy of trial and error that was practiced before Tinubu came onboard.
I have no problem with Tinubu's policy. But how is it going to impact Nigerians, when those in elective positions are there to make money.
Who are we to blame them when they spent fortune buying forms, winning primaries to finally getting victory in general elections.
In some cases they even go to tribunal before a winner is certified.I also hear that a single SAN appearing in contested election cost 250Million Naira.
Tinubu may have the best intentions but his power is limited. Is he capable of compelling the judicious use of allocations sent to governors, senators and others. Are they not going to recoup their investment before we Nigerians start to enjoy the dividends of democracy or Tinubu's policies.
You appear to believe that with time Nigeria will be better grin not considering the man made impediments that will never disappear

Precisely. They will never see what you point out though. They will continue to use misguided and misplaced victimhood mentality, whereby they position themselves as innocent victims of "evil Nigeria" always, to brainwash and poison generations ahead as was done to them.

At least, some of us not born during the civil war lived through the times of Kanu to know he is over-guilty if being a terrorist 1000%.

Yet to every one of them, Kanu is an "innocent freedom fighter", never mind that secession is explicitly a crime of treason according to the Nigerian constitution, whereas it is Bello Turji etal alone who are terrorists deserving death and life sentence.
