So sorry about the situation! Never wanted to say much in the heat of the event but now that things don calm down, I hope you have realized one or two things that you could have done differently! Let's learn the power of 'letting go'.
I once picked Buari str from V.I thinking am going to ogudu, but rider say na mushin. My brain wan burst! I was livid, my demeanor changed instantly but I remained calm!
Drove to Mushin. Went home from there.
My sanity remained!
Pick up the lesson!
May 2026 favour you.

This dude has messed up my AC system. The compressor is now permanently engaged when the car on is on even though AC is off.

He wants to put a thermostat which makes me wonder what correlation they have.

Since you brought in AJ's case.

Please, how long did it take the Spanish first responders to get to the crash scene of popular Liverpool footballer (Diogo Joto)

It was eye withnesses who tried for over 30mins as report said.

You know why? It happened in a rural area, it'll definitely take time to get there. Same as AJ. These things happen everywhere.

If you don't mind revealing Identity ,make I give you link to my Facebook page make you see who you're talking to. You may have read about all the countries you're mentioning, but I have been there.

Trust me, if you know what it means to be a billionaire in Naira, that ignorant statement will die in your head, let alone posting in public.

The technician is right if your AC isn’t cutting, probably the follow come thermostat has spoilt and you will need external thermostat to make the compressor work normally

Had a similar episode on Sunday. Picked up the lady and started the trip as per usual. She then gets a call and she says she's no longer going that I should take her back to the pickup location which I did without hesitation. Total distance was less than 500 metres. I ended the trip and it was 3100. She said she couldn't pay that amount o blah blah blah, I said I don't make the dates and I tried to explain how minimum fare works, she insisted that she can only pay some. I Sha told her it doesn't work that way, she can either pay the fare as displayed then make a complaint to uber or not pay anything at all. She even called her friend and told her, she too was like noooooooo that's not possible. She still maintained her stance and I said she could go then.
Throughout the exchange no raised voices no argument, calm but very firm and still keeping things civil.

If the follow come thermostat attached to your evaporator in the cabin is faulty you will need to replace it or install an aftermarket that they will work for you so that it can regulate the compressor cutting and restarting as at when due.
So yes compressor has something to do with thermostat unless you want your compressor to work non-stop

I hope your engine is still sound and you're using the recommended compressor for the car. I mean not putting Peugeot, Opel or ford compressor in a civic because they say they are better.
Your car is designed to carry extra load of a compressor without going off . I use same car I hardly notice as any changes in my engine when AC is working.

I really get your point, bro.

In Nigeria currently, a few people may be billionaires and millionaires individually, with the capacity to afford the best health care in the world, but collectively (as a people), we are poor.

What this means is, we currently cannot afford a rapid response in the case of an health care or fire emergency. Sometimes, I am driving and stuck in traffic, and there is an ambulance behind blaring his siren and probably trying to get a dying person to the nearest hospital, but then he is also moving slowly in traffic.

Look at this incident involving Anthony Joshua. It took a while for him to be rescued from the wreck and evacuated. And he was even evacuated with a damn hilux!

Even for a billionaire, emergency can knock on the door at any time, and in the weirdest of places where help can be hard to get. As a billionaire in Nigeria, you will spend a lot trying to set up structures (helicopter evacuation, standby medical team, standby fire service, security, etc) that will guarantee the safety and survival of you and your family if there is an emergency. But that is something even a common cleaner in a developed nation gets access to.
