Sukkyy2010:Hello guys, I've finally seen a Tokunbo Car of 7m Toyota Camry 2004, the car is first body direct Belgium, extremely clean in and out. Car Is 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. Is this Car a smart choice for Uber work? Is it fuel efficient for the work? I notice a lot of pilot in this enterprise use Corolla a lot especially 2003-2006 model( but I dislike the car). Please I need your honest advice on this decision I'm about to take coz I've already planned to make payment for the car on Sunday. |

Sukkyy2010:If 7m is all you have home and abroad, not advisable. But if you have 10m and above, no problem. The car is very good and strong. If 7m is all you got, I will advise spending 4 to 5m getting a car(you should get a good car for that amount)and use 2m as emergency funds. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Sukkyy2010: 6:25pm On Dec 26, 2025 |
Dabadwela:I love your advice, so thoughtful. Reason why I'm considering buying the car is because it's direct foreign, 4 to 5m can only get me a Nigeria used car and I'm avoiding Nigeria used because of hidden undeclared problems that mostly come with Nigeria used car. Car are too expensive now this Big daddy is the only Tokunbo car I've seen so far with a reasonable price, a dealer is even selling the same car for 9million( ahh where are we going in this country? ) |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Dabadwela: 7:33pm On Dec 26, 2025 |
Sukkyy2010:Some foreign used cars still needs small tune up here and there to get it to shape. Besides, you still need extra money for unseen circumstances. Not always advisable to go all in to purchase a car, that's if the 7m is all you got. At the end of the day, nothing beats a foreign used car, just don't go all in. |

Guys, the newest trap on coastal road is the one way that leads to the beach. Unfortunately, I enter the trap and I had to part with 30k. |

If na police, 10k fit solve am, but na police and Lastma dey do the operation. We were about 20 that they caught on Tuesday, the 3 guys that drag with them and caused scene, they wrote ticket for them. By 8 am, towing vehicle came from Alausa to tow their cars. Some bailed themselves that midnight with more than what I paid. But we that stayed late till afternoon before they even considered our 30k. It was a day to Christmas, thank God I've made some good money before the incidence. After the release, I just picked mainland trip dey go home for Christmas 😃 Kumuyiii: |

Vela01:Lagos life ,he no concern me. The day he go concern you na only you go face am. Construction corridor you allow motorist to drive in all directions, latter without warning (No sign post)you start arresting and estorting motorists. And everybody act like it's normal. Lagos life. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Sukkyy2010: 10:16am On Dec 27, 2025 |
Kumuyiii:Not everyone is inclined to this japa shit, I have a project I'm working on that does not in anyway align with traveling for a greener pasture, I've already layed the project structure I only need side income stream to generate more fund to finance the project. Everyone can japa base on their mindset, I'm seeing a golden opportunity in a country where most of my peers consider a deserted country. If I can raise 7m for a car in this country I see no reason to japa to start from scratch in the a name of greener pasture. The land is greener here, it's just unfortunate that only few can see it. |

I swear, and it was the map that led everyone there because it's where we have been passing for a long time. Unfortunately, they'll keep extorting because to turn at the beach, you have to get to VI to turn. But me I don cancel taking trips to that beach Sha until the road is fully completed dmangodwin: |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 11:49am On Dec 27, 2025 |
dmangodwin:U don't need a sign post to tell u that u are driving one-way on a dual carriage way. The last time I went to that Elegushi beach, I had to go and turn at a very far point to come back. Going back to VI too was same thing. People were passing one-way but I refused. Instead of passing one-way, I rather stay away from that axis and since then I haven't gone to that place again. For two years I have gone to Elegushi beach only twice. If u put yourself in a situation to be extorted, u shouldn't complain when the chickens come home to roost. Avoid problems |

Pearl1910:I don't expect this type of reply to his comment at all. The road is still under construction, and cars has been passing either way to get to there destination since there is no clear path yet for people to be taking but all of a sudden they just wake up one day and started arresting people for one way without any warnings or signs isn't that absurd to you? |

Vela01:Sorry bro. Na Nigeria way be that. Always looking for ways to exploit. A road that has no designation, no signage, a road that hasn't been completed and which anyhowness(aided by security forces themselves) has been from beginning of the opening of d road. Then suddenly they start enforcing nonsense close to festive season. No be small cash out then do ooo |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 5:57pm On Dec 27, 2025 |
I swear, very huge cash out. and they'll continue to cash out till they finally finish the road. The country is really messed up. Who no enter go think say he's wise and be running mouth like tap arrogantly. Nelochukwu: |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 6:08pm On Dec 27, 2025 |
Kaymax2222:No Sir, right now the road is open both lanes. No obstruction, no blockade From Ogombo, Sangotedo to Ahmad Bello, VI. To and Fro. Anyone still playing one way on that road is irresponsible. They will cause the road to be blocked and innocent u will regret passing the road. Or cause a serious accident and an innocent oncoming vehicle will have his car right off or lose his life. When some parts where blocked it was understandable. Right now there is a clear path with turning at specific points, cross overs and U turns to your destination. The only reason anyone will pass one way is irresponsibility and lack of patience. U can't justify passing one-way on third mainland bridge just because the next available turn is far. Same thing applies here. |
