Jesus never say God, he never spoke English. The language spoken by Jesus is Aramaic.

When Muslims say Allah some Christians ask why not God. Jesus never say God but Allah, the same thing Muslims say. Even the word 'Jesus' was invented by Western World, the son of Mary was never called 'Jesus' in his life time. Christianity is full of deception, interpolation and invention of lies to make it look appealing. |

The word "Elohim" short form "Eli" is not the name of God rather it means God in Aramaic. It's like saying Oluwa in Yorùbá then someone says Oluwa is God's name. The name of God in Hebrew is "YHWH" translated Yahweh or Jehovah because other translators used "JHVH" |

The name Jesus is a transliteration of the name "Yeshua" ancient Hebrew don't have the alphabet "J" in their language. Today they have welcome alphabet J as their most popular city is called "Jerusalem" so if you call him Yeshua you are also correct it's not compulsory to call him Jesus because it was another transliteration used for names in the Bible. ![]() |

Biodun556:Aramaic was not the language spoken by Jesus Christ of Israel, but rather one of the many languages spoken by him. The particular reason why the cry from the cross was recorded in Aramaic was that it was spoken in a language different from the one Jesus Christ of Israel regularly spoke to his followers and those around him. Jesus Christ of Israel reiterated the particular Aramaic statement to draw a connection to information previously recorded in the Scriptures— Jesus Christ of Israel knew the Scriptures like the back of His hand, it seemed. And that utterance was to invoke the statement made by David in one of his psalms— language and all. ![]() The term Eloi is not pronounced Allah, nor is it connected in any way. The Hebrew language, which connects to the language of Aramites(both languages existed in the Levant for 1000s of years) continues to this day— El-isha, El-i, El-ohim, El -ijah... El-ohim, etc. So, this makes it nearly impossible for any reasonable mind to claim there exists a literal connection between the now Hebrew-used Eloi with the Allah of the muslims. ![]() |

Don't worry about the language spoken by Yeshua, what I think you should worry about is whether you understand the Quran you are reading or whether the Christians understand the Bible they are reading. I was surprised that my Pakistani friend who literally sleeps in the mosque and recite the Quran like bread and butter can't speak Arabic. I asked him how he managed to recite it? Mostly when I show him things from the Quran, he seems surprised and dazed and ask for days to confirm, why, because it's in a language he doesn't understand, even though he has read it back to back. Finally, tell us, did Yeshua call God "Father"? |

Kobojunkie:The confidence with which people assert claims that have no historical basis never ceases to amaze me. This is just an empty assertion there’s no evidence for it in the sources nor in scholarship. At best, it’s nonsense ahistorical speculation presented as fact. Lol! |
| Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by Kobojunkie: 3:07am On Jan 01 |
Lucifyre:No historical basis? Historical speculation? There is no historical evidence that the book of Psalms, supposedly a compilation of poems/psalms by King David of Israel, contained several statements, at least one of which was later linked to the Aramaic language, which belonged to the people of the nation of Aram in existence thousands of years ago in the Levant region?🥱🥱 I am afraid I do not follow. 🥱🥱 |

Kobojunkie:Jesus was unlettered, he was sent to children of Israel, he spoke only one language and left the World in his 30s. |

Biodun556:He was unlettered, yet he was able to read(and comprehend) the contents of the books of the prophets, going as far as to clearly explain them all with great wisdom as early as age 12? 🥱🥱🥱Most of you clearly never read up about these people whom you pretend you speak about. 🤔🥱🥱 |

| Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by SisterAnn(f): 6:05am On Jan 01 |
Biodun556:Liar. The name of God is Yahweh and none of it's derivatives is Allah. Carry your taqiya shift Abeg. Imagine saying a religion which existed for 600yrs before Islam and from which Islam copied is the fake. |
| Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by Biodun556(op): 8:37am On Jan 01 |
SisterAnn:Yes, is real name in Aramaic is Isoh which is the same as Isa. Yeshua is Hebrew

| Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by SisterAnn(f): 10:25am On Jan 01 |
Biodun556:Abiodun, listen up! The god of Islam is not same as Christianity. They are very distinct different beings. I don't understand your motive for trying to link both, please desist from doing that. Yeshua of Nazareth is not the same Issa you have in your quoran. Jehovah of the Christian faith is not the same as Allah of the Muslim faith. In Arabic or whatever language, they may refer to Jehovah as Allah, but this Allah is not the same as the one Muslims know. |

The funny thing is that most people with these sort of dumb arguments are empty. No salvation, no sanctification, no Holy Ghost, no miracles, nothing. Only funny empty arguments like every other person. |

Kobojunkie:You don't say, I'd have been suprised if you did. Wheee's the data and evidence that supports the nonsense below instead you're rambling. "Aramaic was not the language spoken by Jesus Christ of Israel but rather one of the many languages spoken by him. The particular reason why the cry from the cross was recorded in Aramaic was that it was spoken in a language different from the one Jesus Christ of Israel regularly spoke.' None?! As I thought. |

Lucifyre:Are you Ok in the head? Or are you here to argue meaninglessness this first couple of hours into the new year? 🥱🥱🥱 ➜ Aramaic is the language of the Galileans(current day Syria), but not the spoken language of all the Judeans, even at the time in question ➜ The Gospels do not state anywhere that Aramaic was the spoken language of Jesus Christ of Israel. Rather, the gospels contain a handful of Aramaic phrases that were used by Jesus Christ of Israel ➜ The Gospels report that Jesus Christ of Israel was able to read and comprehend the Scriptures. And from much we gather, the Septuagint, which Jesus Christ of Israel must have read from, was originally written in the Greek language around 200 years or so before his birth,(during the Greek occupation of Judea). Another, that he may also have read from, the Talmud was written in Hebrew, the language of both the Israelites(Jews included) and Canaanites. ➜ Jesus Christ of Israel was able to communicate with the Roman, Pilate, indicating that either he, Jesus Christ of Israel, understood the language of the Romans or Pilate understood some of the language of the Jews. Whichever one it is, we know that he was able to communicate with the Romans. (The Romans occupied Judea at the time.) ➜ Jesus Christ of Israel was a Jew, and at no point in the history of his people was the land of Judea reported to have been occupied by the Aramians, nor was it ever recorded that the Judaens adopted the language of the Aramians. And the reports do not indicate that all his disciples or the people in Judea at the time understood the Aramaic language. ➜ (Jesus Christ of Israel is also not reported to have, at any point, had a translator with him.) .... |

Image123:All of your so-called miracles are experienced daily by those who don't buy into your religious delusions. Religion(along with the many other delusions that go with it) was never a requirement for miracles. The information age has at least exposed that much. 🥱🥱 As for the other unverified benefits you claim your religion gives you-- even after billions of lives have come abd gone, there remains not a pinch of proof that the delusions are nothing but that-- you would have to do a better job proving they exist before anything else. 🥱🥱🥱 Will you continue to live burdened down by religion or continue to weigh yourself down with it? That remains a choice for you to make. 🥱🥱 |

Biodun556:No prophet of God ever called on allah, because God & allah are different. allah is a name, it does not mean God. Thats why in Surah 4:171 it says, "Allah is only One God." If allah means God, than why not say "Allah is only One Allah." They cant say that becos allah does not mean God but a name of the god of islam, which is not the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. In fact the shahada the islamic proclamation of faith, They say in arabic no god but Allah,. "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah". If allah means God, why not say "No allah but allah" ? This again shows that allah does not mean God but a name of god of islam This moslem explains it well that allah & God are different https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U-i_usnHXs

MakeWeTalk:La ilaha (no Allah) ila (except) Allah What you said has already been done Arabic The English word "God" does not completely carry the meaning of Allah, that's why Muslims prefer the use of Allah instead of the word "God" |
