Remove Ghana. They won 4 Afcon when the tournament was hosting 8 teams. In fact I'm thinking of petitioning CAF to withdraw two of their titles.
Why didn’t u win it when the tournament was only 8? Or is Ghana the reason u failed to clinch those tournaments then?
Check the head to head of all those so called powerhouse with Ghana 🇬🇭 is Ghana a joke to u?
Remind me the last time Nigeria even beat Ghana in a competitive match…!

🚨 AFCON explained in club terms — if you’ve never really watched the tournament. 👀

African nations compared to European clubs… and suddenly everything makes sense 😅⚽

🇲🇦 Morocco = Arsenal
No matter their level or form, we all know how the story usually ends.

🇨🇩 DR Congo = England
A team full of hope every single year. They always say, “This is our year”… but it never happens.

🇬🇭 Ghana = AC Milan
A huge name with great history and trophies, but they failed to qualify this time.

🇧🇫 Burkina Faso = Tottenham
No matter how well they play, don’t worry — they’ll lose a match they were never supposed to lose.

🇩🇿 Algeria = Borussia Dortmund
They win a title once in a while. Champions in 2019 — don’t expect another one anytime soon.

🇨🇲 Cameroon = Chelsea
Just when you expect them to win a trophy, they always pull off something unpredictable.

🇳🇬 Nigeria = Real Madrid
Plenty of stars, not always the most beautiful football, but they always find a way to win.

🇨🇮 Ivory Coast = Atlético Madrid
They’re always around, and you never know when they’ll win — but when it happens, it’s a real shock.

🇸🇳 Senegal = Manchester City
A strong team without much history. First title in 2022, followed by plenty of disappointments.

🇿🇦 South Africa = Marseille
One trophy won a very long time ago. Since then, they’ve been living in nostalgia.

🇿🇲 Zambia = Leicester City
The ultimate underdog. They won AFCON mainly with local players — and no one knows if it will ever happen again.

🇪🇬 Egypt = Barcelona
They once dominated African football with trophies and beautiful play, but today they struggle to win.

🇬🇦 Gabon = Galatasaray
They attend every AFCON for purely touristic reasons.

🇲🇱 Mali = AS Roma
They love participating in AFCON, fully aware they’re not going to win it.
See how that Nigeria comparison dey make me shine teeth like teenager wey collect first kiss 😂😂

Stanley deserves our support at this time.
Unfortunately he doesn't do himself any favours the way he plays

Victor Osimhen rarely shoots those type of shots because they are not high percentage looks. He always tries to play the game the right way. If he decided to shoot on sight he will easily score that type of goal.
For Nigeria, All his shots on sight from outside the box are wide. None on target

Your inability to make the point without taking a dig at Osimhen is the nonsense and it's even more pitiful that you're still doubling down!
You can interpret it to be a dig. Anything that rocks your boat.

You see, Morocco has invested so much in hosting CAF events recently, and you get the feeling that CAF won't mind rewarding them with an AFCON trophy if they can..
That's why it will be difficult to lose if they find themselves in the final, except the opposing team scores clear goals that cannot be cancelled, like outside shots or maybe own goals sef
Oh just like the CAF awards
Where the winner was Chebbak
But individuel performance globally - Okoronkwo has been better
You’re right though
Malian players had to seriously protest before the penalty was given
In the KO stages, teams better get ready
They may give ridiculous penalties to North Africans

Let’s pay close attention to Mozambique — they have a solid team. No one has really blown them away in this AFCON, and they’ve conceded only five goals in total.

They lost 2–1 and 1–0, but they also beat Gabon 3–2. The Super Eagles must not underrate them — Mozambique can definitely spring surprises.

If we win our next game, we could be heading into a chance for revenge in the following rounds. The Super Eagles should keep things simple and take it one game at a time.

Osimhen is untouchable
Even if he misses a penalty
Nigerians love Osimhen
I think he became a Super Eagle legend already even if they don’t win anything
That first goal against Cameroon in the l2023 AFCON sealed it for me
If we had more fighters & energetic players like Osimhen we should be flogging all these heavyweight African teams
Osimhen is just an anomaly, he risks his body to score marvelous goals
Some of the goals he has for Napoli are absurd
Nodding the ball and falling on his head
To me Osimhen is Nigerias best ever striker
I watched Yekini in France 98 (beyond his prime though, I wasn’t impressed)
This is not recency bias
The numbers will eventually prove it
AFCON is even tougher now, better pitches but there was no round 16 back then, we should have won in Ivory Coast last edition if it wasn’t 24 teams
I have not seen any African player use their head effectively to score goals like Osimhen since I’ve been following the game
Osimhen even has headers equally as good as cr7

Sporting Lisbon's Geny Catamo is their main man. Scored 2 already at this Afcon and set up one. He plays from the right.
Limit his influence and the Mozambicans will have no real bite.

Our best game so far is vs Tunisia -- for the first 75 minutes.

Idiko1:
Nigerians are funny indeed. How could a thinking person decide not to play the only playmaker in the team? Yet you want a squad which has rendered Nigeria style of play very uninteresting. The squad which defeated Uganda reminded many people of Nigerian style of play and even commentors referenced to it.

Uganda vs Mozambique highlight!

Someone here said Mozambique is better than Uganda! lol
The same Uganda that almost defeated Algeria at home with their 2nd goalkeeper that collected red card against us.
If Uganda had won that Algeria match they would have qualified ahead of us for the playoff yet some peeps underestimate them cos we destroyed them with suppose 'B' team which looks more balance than the so-called "A" team.

This team doesn't underrate anybody
In my opinion, our biggest challenge would be getting the right mix of players in the starting 11
