You see the problem with you people? Why the comparison?
Learn to give accolades when necessary,
Eric Chelle is not eguaveon.

I don’t see Morocco winning this AFCON because they failed their 1st test
They couldn’t beat Mali despite the home advantage
Oh well, group stage affairs may not matter in the KO rounds
I rate Algeria, Nigeria and Senegal ahead of them.

Tunisia has an Afcon ooo. 2004 as hosts. And club football like you said, they have really deep sound pedigree. Also been to 6 WCs. 2026 will be their 7th. Also first African side to win a WC match (1978). They are no small fry.

Cameroun has been to more (cool. Nigeria, Morocco and Tunisia tied on 6 but now we will be overtaken by both North Africans at the 2026 WC.
National team football is my criteria and one Afcon trophy is not enough to be considered powerhouse in my own view o even DRC has two Afcon titles! Morocco with a semifinal finish (that’s like an Afcon trophy) at a World Cup makes them more of a powerhouse along with their only one Afcon trophy than Tunisia.

Why does a coach making the CAF best XI, give you "same vibes as second round exit"??👀
When it's literally two different coaches in this scenario?
You dey eye Eric Chelle job Sha so I understand Sha🌝

no singular nigerian referee at afcon 2025 even the supporters "club" is just a makeshift, seem few people were paid to do this
nff and sports ministry have done their usual evil deed by trying to sabotage our national team and disgrace us
am livid at how we are actively killing our football and yet nobody seem to care

There is this young left back that I would love us to capture for our youth team before England caps him. Yisa Alao of Sheffield.

Huge potential, and has never been capped by England at any level.

Kenneth Omeruo was 19 yrs at Afcon 2013 when he made his major tournament debut and shone like a million stars.

Ogenyi Onazi was 20 at same Afcon 2013.

Benjamin Frederick at 20 was already bound to start at Afcon 2025 but for injury.

Will Nigeria give a 19y/o such a chance you asked?? Something that has happened and is still bound to happen.
Samuel Chukwueze was also 19 at 2019AFCON.

There's no way in hell Mozambique is stopping us sha. I don't care what they did in the group stages. We've arguably looked better than both Cameroon and Ivory Coast in different moments and those teams still squeezed a result out of Mozambique. I can almost bet my life on it that we will breeze through that fixture.

It's from the quarter finals that we should start getting worried to me. Both Algeria and DR Congo are stronger than all the opponents we've faced so far, Tunisia arguably included. We can exit from there if we're not careful.

Our best game so far is vs Tunisia -- for the first 75 minutes.
It is important to score goals and win a match in football competition. However, the pattern of play lingers in memory. There was nothing to remember about Nigeria/Tunisia match besides Nigeria won. In fact, if the stoppage time was extended beyond noted, Tunisia would have equalized or even won the match. This scenario would have wiped the memory of the match from the mind of many Nigerians.

SofaScore Team of the Tournament for the first 3 rounds
Africans have really funny method of exhibition. Score one effortless goal in a football match, the scorer becomes world's first eleven. When I looked at other endeavors in Africa besides football, I just shook my head.

If we lose to Mozambique it's because the players or the coach (or both) flopped, not because of what happened in 2021. Statistics and history is good for reference but their predictive abilities are limited. There's always a first time for everything. This might very well be the first AFCON where we win every single game to lift the trophy. Algeria did it in 2019.

The Tunisia we faced in 2021 was even worse Dan dis present Mozambique 🇲🇿 team ,d only difference is d name and experience cos I could remember vividly dt we already wrote dem off due to Covid 19 effect on dier team…they executed that match with only 14 fit players or so,others where eida injured or down with covid .

I hope it's just a rumor or one of those his shenanigans. Even if he doesn't get back to his best form, there should still be something left in the tank to make some decent money for a few more years.

True they beat us which is what mattered. But we played the game with 10 men for quite some time after Iwobi's first and only red card for Nigeria.

Mk Wolfsberger no gree sell to Tranzon abeg. The guys talent deserves a better league than been wasted in Hausa league

French Ligue 1 clubs Lille and RC Lens have joined the chase for highly-sought central defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, who has been on the radar of the Super Eagles.

Nwaiwu has also been reported to have agreed personal terms with Turkish club Trabzonspor, who are now expected to negotiate his transfer fee with Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger.

However, the latest report is that the Austrian club are not willing to sell him in the January transfer window.

It is now reported that they would only consider his departure in the coming summer as he has a contract until 2027.

Everton have an interest in Blackburn Right Back, Ryan Alebiosu. Wolfsburg, Genoa and Sassuolo also hold an interest in the 24 year old Nigerian. Alebiosu however is currently away at AFCON
