Hello everyone, please i need an advise, i applied for Cyber Security in Loyalist college, but was denied the addmission, but was later offer admission for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIGS) for 1 Academic Year(s) (Periods Of 8 Months), instead of 2 years.. Should i accept the offer or look for another school. or what should i do next |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 4:30pm On Jan 02 |
did they tell u why they denied your admission?? if the program is not so expensive, i'll advice u take it and then re apply for the Cyber Security when u are done. OR you can look for another school to apply to if u still have time. All the best Benzdey4u: |

This is absolutely your decision to make, know the financial implications for a 1yr and 2yrs program, and also know the PGWP policy for both years of the program. Good luck. Benzdey4u: |

The processing time is 5weeks . The best bet is to defer the admission. I submitted mine on the 25th November and i have not heard anything from IRCC..

What you are asking for depends on a whole lot of factors, for example, your family size, if you will be travelling with them, sponsorship, program duration, tuition fees, etc. The sufficient amount depends on the type of sponsorship and the ability to demonstrate reliable sources of income. For example, if you have no sponsor, you must show funds for tuition and living expenses for the duration of your program, OR show funds for one year and a reliable source that can generate funds in your absence for the subsequent year. On the other hand, if you are using a sponsor, you can show just the cost of education for one year, regardless of the duration of your studies. It is worth noting that a VO can refuse an application for insufficient funds, even if the balance is enough to cover the cost of education, if 1. There are lump sums with no reasonable explanation. 2. Inability to demonstrate the relationship between the sponsor and you, and if the sponsor is a third party, the incentive for the sponsorship. 3. The account was opened recently 4. It is a corporate account with poor cash flow and/or failure to show that the sponsor is the business's sole owner and has access to the account. 5. Unconvincing source of income This list is not exhaustive. You can contact if you need assistance with school admission Walezzino: |

Good Afternoon and a happy new year. I recently got accepted for a Master's programme at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. I am looking to find someone who is conversant about the area and if it is "easy" to get a job as a graduate student. Thank you. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 1:54pm On Jan 05 |
Uchenwawe:I would like to first congratulate you on your admission, though I should note that getting a job as a graduate student depends on planning and your specific field. For on-campus jobs, you might want to contact a graduate coordinator in your department to confirm availability of TA positions. If you prefer off-campus jobs, the ease depends on your field. Students majoring in disciplines such as technology, healthcare, and energy are generally more likely to secure jobs in Canada. So, a definite answer depends on your preference for on-campus or off-campus jobs and academic major. All the best with your career. |

Happy new year all. Please I have been admitted for a masters degree program in Canada. I and my family have residence permit in Denmark including my spouse who. is working in Nigeria but always visit us. I want to apply for my study permit but I am confused on whether not to add my spouse in the application now while applying with my kids aged 12, 10 and 8. My concern is that my husband will require medical which will delay processing of my study permit. We are considering applying without him now so that he can apply for visitor visa immediately our own permit is granted. Your advice will be appreciated |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Profgordons(m): 8:26pm On Jan 06 |
Yoyoky:If you have the funds, it is always best to apply as a family as the visa will be processed for everyone at the same time most times. The process for Visitor’s Visa can be unpredictable and might disrupt your family time. It is not uncommon to see the study permit first before the processing of other applications attached. |
