It was already fascinating in the last edition. We know how it ended.
Both teams are now slightly different na doc with more young talents in both sides now. Since they are on the same path I won't be surprised to see them meet again and give us another entertaining game

Age cheating?? There are proofs of how young he was when he joined Simoiben Academy ooo.

And he is of good height. Taller than Guehi. Way taller than Puyol was too.

And he is on loan at Dender EV. His club is Brentford of England where he was crowned the Club's U21 Player of the season featuring in the U21 PL.

Benjamin is already a top talent at 20. In time, he will climb to become even better and bigger.

I am glad you say all these. The opposite dey always happen. Lol

Blueelf:
1. He is age-cheating

2. he is short

3. he is so good, yet he plays for dender FC. It seems you know more than european scouts

he will not be world class

It’s terrible from what we all watched and saw in the last Afcon this is a huge step backwards.

Don’t even care who wins this competition anymore let it just end and we all move on
I hope CAF will not dash Morocco the trophy . Any slight challenge against Morocco ref will check VAR

I'm disappointed in Kwesi Appiah. I expected him to set up Sudan to park the bus against Senegal. Exactly like Mali did against Morocco.

Why would Sudan be playing a vastly superior Senegalese team and be playing an open game with a high line? Suicidal!

Forward, Lameck Banda came to Afcon 2025 with Zambia. Started the first 2 games and played the 2nd 45 off the bench in their last game vs Morocco.

He didnt score or assist any goal.

Today, he scores against Juventus for his side Lecce in a serie A fixture locked at 1-1 with 50mins played so far.

If una be Zambian fans, I know wetin una go talk. Loll...

These photo journalists are selfish and arrogant. They just want to have their way. I bet if this man fails, they'll write longer epistles than actual journalists. Just cos he lock shop for 3 days. Haba.

All i needed to know senegal go collect from intentional team was that congo game. Their backline is weak. All one needs to frustrate them is that congo approach. Load balls into their box b2b and their backline gets absolutely overwhelmed. They don't get enough help from upfield players when overwhelmed so the launching style is perfect against senegal. It took a silly mistake for mane to equalize vs Congo. They might pause at the quarters IMO. If they go all the way to the final, then na luck.

Why isn't VAR in this AFCON ruling line like we see in European leagues?

Senegal's 2nd goal is offside, nothing wey VAR won tell me
VAR go tell you say na offside if na Nigeria, na then go even call refree sef

Another round of 16 match could've been played today. No need to make the tournament too long.

This is what Gemini has to say concerning the offside. It seems there was VAR review behind the scene.
This may not be accurate though as it relies on online pool of data.

The VAR Decision: The goal was subjected to a lengthy VAR review. The officials ultimately ruled that Jackson was onside by a thin margin (often referred to as a "toenail" decision). Because the VAR did not find a "clear and obvious error," the on-field decision to award the goal stood.

Mali Vs Tunisia is up next.

Senegal meets one of these two in the Quarters.

Tunisia supposed do Mali some strong thing. Hannibal supposed ball vs Mali. But Mali get lives to fight in 2nd half. They lacked that under Chelle last AFCON

I like it too. Chelle dey learn from the WCQ pre-games. They still feel they failed for WC no matter the lifeline out there so let them focus abeg. Dunno why it's hard to just grasp.

According to @krone_at, among others, the clubs Leverkusen, Marseille, and Brugge are showing interest in Chibuike Nwaiwu.

Trabzonspor's efforts are currently the most concrete, however.
