With the exception of 1982 edition, Nigeria always does well in North Africa, so I expect Morocco 2025 to continue that trend and even prove us 4th time lucky again in North Africa since our last win on North African soil also came as 4th time lucky. Libya 1982 - First Round Morocco 1988 - Runners-up Algiers 1990 - Runners-up Tunisia 1994 - Champions Tunisia 2004 - 3rd place Egypt 2006 - 3rd place Egypt 2019 - 3rd place Morocco 2025 - ? (CHAMPIONS AGAIN)? ..So your dream is not far fetched as North Africa Afcon editions always sees us reach the semis at worst. And yes, your camaraderie towards Nigerian football is appreciated as a North African but you really cant blame the harsh comments coming from my Nigerian brothers about the constant and ever present North African football antics. Truth is Nigeria have always been at the end of "ojoro" against North African sides. We saw it at Algiers 90 final. We saw it at Tunisia 2004 Semifinals before P.S.O. Even in Club Football, we suffered it for years in the Champions league before Enyimba broke the curse and still faced the wrath of North Africans being bad losers. Even in the Wafcon, it had to take the superior technical quality of the Super falcons to overcome the Moroccans despite the crowd intimidation, laser lights distractions and a few funny calls in that first half that swung the momentum in Morocco's favour for a while. So again, kindly dont blame the harshness. You are just one vs thousands of thousands of North Africans who champion intimidation and sore loser attitude when results dont go their way in a fair competition. I dont support hatred but I think one is allowed to dislike something that constantly happens again and again. That you are different does not make it go away. And yes, corruption is everywhere but in football no region plays terrible and hostile hosts better than the North Africans. You obviously saw how Libya treated our Super Eagles, endangering our entire National team right? If those lads had died in a plane crash, would you be here saying "hatred is not justified?" Again, I dont like the word hatred but I feel the Nigerian fans who complain bitterly about what North Africans do on and off the pitch in a bid to gain unfair advantage in a football game, are not out of line entirely. One of such North African craze episodes nearly cost Nigeria her entire national team. Have that in mind always. Bouadi97: |

AFCON is not the best international competition in the world but I have no single doubt that it is the most competitive and exciting off and on the field. |

I expect them to but Tbh, they have the momentum so far. If that guy had connected well for that cross or if the crosser had pulled back instead of crossing, Tanzania would be 1 nil up easily. That was a real chance. The only big chance created so far. Morocco still trying to adjust. Goke7: |
