zicky:Why are you all talking like it's not football we are talking about...no team wants to go two nil down but in knockout football you're bound to find yourself in such situations and your ability to respond in 90 minutes determines if you get to go further or go home Civ didn't want to go 2 nil down against Gabon Ft Gabon 2- civ 3 Senegal didn't want to go 1 nil down against Sudan but they did Ft Sudan 1 - Senegal 3 Cameroon against Mozambique as well That's what I want to see happen with super eagles cause it shows they have the mentality of champions even the Barcelona someone mentioned overcame a 5 nil aggregate to win 6 -5. That's how you spot a champion! |

ThunderFireAgba:Baleba, avom and kofane also stood out for me. The defence stood their ground. Their goalie was good but almost had some onana actions. |

mank1234:Morocco have not been spectacular in this afcon despite their numerous talents. Cameroon are better than a few weeks ago and will give them a tough time. |

For Those of you pushing aside the clamour for the team to develop a comeback mentality. For the past 3 years or more sef, it's on record that when we concede first, we've not been able to comeback to win the game. |

Bossoflife25:You really underate Mozambique. South Africa from get go was not in this tournament. The struggled throughout group stage. It was obvious they weren't gonna beat Cameroon. Secondly the game between Cameroon and Ivory Coast was a hell of a match. You could see grit and hard play. That match was good enough to tell any neutral that Cameroon was not a side to joke with. Mozambique side played the powerhouses and lost narrowly, then they beat Gabon who made the world cup playoffs and lost to Nigeria over 120 minutes. Mozambique play a compact style and they fight till end. Nigeria will scale through , but it will be a tough and even contest. Should Chelle succeed in making it another easy victory, then we are good enough to meet Cameroon at the semifinals. Because Cameroon will beat Morocco. |

elyte89:This south African team is a far cry from the last tournament. They couldn't beat the Egyptian side they beat in 2019 when Egypt hosted and 2023 in ivory coast. The Egyptian side played a man down for over 45 mins and managed to edge South Africa. Let Cameroon play Morocco. Cameroon is stronger in this tournament |

Cameroon took their chances and SA did not...the better team won tonight but the quarterfinals is looking really scary now Morocco, Senegal, mali and Cameroon are through....I expect civ, drc, Egypt and Nigeria to join them too Mali has played the worst Haram football I have seen in a long time (two out of their three goals have been penalty ) similar to SE last Afcon outing where they win or draw 1-0 or 1-1 but I have to give it to their defense,it's been solid and they could definitely drag ot out with Senegal to penalties and then it's anyone game Morocco has shown that theres level to this shit because I remember being scared of them in 2024 or so when they were scoring a minimum of 4 goals per match but it was against continental minnows....they struggled against mali to get a draw and mali imo is the weakest side among the quarterfinals entries so far so Cameroon would likepy win that match with a 1 nil gd Nigeria path to finals is tough but they can do this with the right mentality and if they take their chances, Osimhen especially! Lookman and chukwueze would also have to keep their form so far. Good luck to SE tomorrow and good night to everyone |

Sometimes, the football doesn't have to be beautiful. It just has to be effective and potent. |

Clint02:If we conceed first , we are likely to draw or lose Zimbabwe vs Nigeria in away 1:1 , we equalize Lesotho vs Nigeria Uyo 1:1 we equalize South Africa vs Nigeria home and away . We lost the world cup ticket the moment we played draw twice against Zimbabwe and Lesotho..SA will go world cup to entertain but may not win a game |

typicalgamer:They are not just a good side in this tournament. It is not as if they are a bad team. We have seen them improve but then maintaining standards has to do with building reputation. count on a team like Cameroon to wake up and show them they have the history and reputation to do that. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by M7even(m): 10:41pm On Jan 04 |
charlesemeka85:They might actually pick up for the world cup. I think their manager might be having that gernot rohr syndrome where he is lost of ideas. They need a new manager who can continue from where Broos has stopped |
