Nothing give me joy than seeing Simon on the bench. The line up is good but after 70min coach should bring in Onyedika and Chukueze not Simon o
He will still bring in Simon, it like Simon get him nude….

I don't understand some things that happen in football. See this stupid goal Benin just conceded from a Salah strike
Ought not coaches to call their players to not go all out leaving their defense vulnerable to quick counters?

Chelle starting the same 4312 lineup and personnel as seen vs Tunisia, shows he indeed gets the message.

Meanwhile... today Nigeria's Super Eagles will end a nasty trend that has occured ever since the Afcon expanded to a 24-team tournament in 2019.

Since 2019, every single team that has gotten 9pts in the grp stage and faced a 3rd placed team in the round of 16, got eliminated.

2019 - Egypt got 9pts but eliminated by 3rd placed finished South Africa 2-0 in RO16.

2019 - Morocco also 9pts in grp stage got knocked out by Benin Republic (3rd placed team) in Round of 16

2021 - Nigeria with 9pts in grp stage but fell 1-0 to Tunisia (3rd placed team) in RO16

2023 - Senegal as defending Champs bagged 9pts in grp stage but got knocked out by 3rd placed CIV in RO16

2025 - Algeria and Nigeria both attained 9pts in grp stage.
Algeria faces 2nd placed DRC
Nigeria faces 3rd placed Mozambique.

Today, NIGERIA ENDS THIS NONSENSE! THE CURSE BREAKS.

Let's roll! Naija4dawin
Algeria got 9 points from their group in 2019
Then faced 3rd placed Guinea in the road of 16
They won that match
And went on to win the tournament

Thank goodness the Egypt team won. I want to see the best African teams on the grandest stage. I couldn’t care less for skin color and ethnicity. Glad Benin is out. Such can a low quality decision making team.

Benin should hold their heads up high losing the wcq to Nigeria and then in Afcon to Egypt. That’s not a disappointment in any way

I hope they keep rohr

3 mins to go they had nothing to lose and everything to gain.. Bowing out win a 2 1 loss is not better than being eliminated with a two goal deficit

It's the last seconds of the game, you can't fault them for leaving it all on the field. There's no next match anyway

Rohr is a good scout, he needs to bring in quality from Europe.

I didnt even note this info. This further shows this 9pts talk vs 3rd placed team in some media spaces is overrated.

Nigeria will become the 2nd team to smash this nonsense then and go all the way.
