Kilishihunter:
This afcon is the best I've seen the super eagles play in a long while. We are no longer misplacing passes unnecessarily
Someone said see how sweet we play as the facilities are top notch. Morocco pitches are world standard and well cared for. That might be a motivation as well.

Iwobi and sweet penetrating passes na 5 and 6.
Tbh, any old Arsenal fan here shouldn't be surprised. He has always had it in his locker.

Lookman should have gone for goal there but he decided to be unselfish
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:42pm On Jan 05
Wait ooo. Akor is credited with the assist for Osimhen's goal too. Seems he got a slight touch on that Lookman cross before it reached Osimhen.

TheSuperNerd:
Osimhen and Lookman have combined for 3 goals at this Afcon.

Lookman🅰️ ➡️ Osimhen⚽️ vs TUNISIA
Osimhen🅰️ ➡️ Lookman⚽️ vs TUNISIA
Lookman🅰️ ➡️ Osimhen⚽️ vs MOZAMBIQUE

LETHAL DUO.

Akor Adams meanwhile have got his first G/A of the tournament, assisting Lookman.

Osimhen now on 33 Int'l Goals. 4 short of Yekini's 37.

That's a good observation. We are playing better on a good pitch. I also think pairing iwobi behind two water carrier midfielders has made him free to carry out his playmaking effectively

Is it Mozambique making him look so good or Iwobi's football IQ is very high

Quick question please
But why bench a player that scored 2 goals in the last game
Shouldn't Onyedika start ahead of Ndidi,
The former is more offensive than the latter
Spanish type of DM versus Conventional
What do you guys think
They shouldn't keel Kachi's fire though
It's tough games against DRC, Cameroon or heavyweights we could've used Ndidi since we'd concede possession
Shay you don calm down now

There’s a reason he’s a role player
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mostob(m): 8:46pm On Jan 05
Ademola Lookman... So much for selfishness. A selfish player would have taken that shot instead of passing. BTW, Onyedika should come in for Ndidi early. We can't afford another red card biko

Yeah. Chelle must have given him the freedom Rohr gave him that year when he just signed up as coach too. I wonder who started restricting him and without guilty conscience.

Nigeria better score more goals if Mozambique score 1 now the pressure will increase and coach may make wrong changes
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by lbrichman2: 8:52pm On Jan 05
Picking up needless cards
Now we need to change the midfield
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Sugarboyy(m): 8:53pm On Jan 05
lbrichman2:
Yeah
E just be like say Na elite Europe club they play.
Aside all the players that have done excellently well, I think this should be the SE starting 11 going forward without only Aina and Fredrick replacing Osayi and Ajayi

Our 2 Defensive midfielders in 45 minutes already have yellow cards
Another and they miss more important later stage matches

We need to get the third goal once the second half commences, I also don't like the yellow cards we're picking
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Sugarboyy(m): 8:54pm On Jan 05
Onyedika and Akin should replace Ndidi and Onyeka very early in the second half. We don't need a red card and those mentioned can also do the job well
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Spainever(m): 8:54pm On Jan 05
We are picking unnecessary yellow cards in a match we should be careful . We should score more goals because if Mozambique score 1 pressure go increase

Onyenka is not playing well today, already have a yellow card. I expect the coach to bring in oyedika in place of him.

I hope we don't miss both Ndidi and Onyeka as we progress sha
Tougher teams ahead
Easy match wey Onyedika for play
