I no see wetin Lookman do bad oo. If Osihmen had played with Jay Jay what would he had done when Jay Jay forgets himself dribbling all over the pitch.
thanks for this flashback, then I disliked JayJay, I'll always argue with people that Oruma was a better midfield. Cos Jayjay will turn and turn, aghahowa will make runs and come back like 4times before jayjay will pass 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

I made a post years back suggesting that Ademola Lookman should be deployed as a No 10.
I have been looking for that post in the myriad of posts that I have made on this thread.

You clearly saw my question there. Didn't you? If he really did that then he needs to be talked to or sanctioned. I don't defend that kind of behaviour

Two truths can coexist
Watch the match again
You'll see I'm not wrong

I'm not even excusing Osimhen's behavior..
I am treating it as a today issue
Most of us are bringing past issues to the matter..

I have already said Osimhen needs to apologize to the whole team and should be benched in our next game
No need benching him, na just mumu boy wen carry the thing for head. grin Dem go settle am las las.

Nothing do you, chief.🙌

lbrichman2:
Simple!
I have addressed this before..
Lookman is a finisher, not a winger..
He is scoring now because he plays behind the strikers and he gets passes in the areas where he can strike at goal..

Lookman does not pass
No be today..
The reason he's having assists is because the balls get to him where he cannot strike at goal, so he passes or crosses ..
If Lookman gets a pass in front of goal, he won't pass to anybody
He'd rather find a way to score

That's his game.
Simple
Exactly, his entire play is optimized for that.

Whether the video is real or not all sides need to come together to sort out their differences as we are facing tougher opponents, we NEED him but vexing with ndidi and storming to the dressing room was highly unnecessary when it's only one or two persons you had an issue with, we are saying this now so this thing doesn't turn a reoccurring theme in our future matches

Lookman wasn’t deployed as a 10 by Chelle but as a false 9/Auxilliary striker who make runs to the middle when the 2 deployed strikers (Akor and Osimhen) are down on the flanks

Rest the agenda abeg

Well, he is not exactly playing as a traditional 10. He is playing as a trequartista interpreting it as an seconda Punta (SS - 8 ). But the idea at its core was bright.

You want to interpret that as passion? 🙄
When passion is frustrated, apathy can result..
Same thing with us fans
We are passionate about our darling Super Eagles..
Then suddenly they fail to qualify for the world cup..
What follows?
Apathy
We don't care about the games anymore..
It happens to all of us..

That's what happened today
Osimhen did well by asking to be subbed, instead of being a minus one on the team today

Nice attempt but trequartista suits the description of Lookman's role better. He also has to go flankwise but in the box to get those crosses in. That is how all his assists have come about. Lookman attacks space across the entire final third not just through the middle when either of the Prima Puntas go wide.

Lol, shebi his worshippers said it's "passion", as if we no longer know what passion means. grin

It's just a pity that he's surrounded by ajebutter teammates who can't put him in his place.

Who else was impressed with Bright Osayi-Samuel? That boy has always impressed me since he joined us. He is levels above Alebiosu for sure.
I liked his tenacity today and his link-up with Onyeka.

None of the players today were selfish. We shouldn't be creating issue out of nowhere. You think if there weren't passing we would have been scoring goals and creating tons of chances?
Most journalists have opined that the SE, would have been 7-0 up if not for missed chances.
