BankyGee:
I just saw the video, Osimhen was shouting "it's a team game, it's a team game" which is not bad. The only wrong thing is him walking off at full-time or strolling on the pitch as I've seen some people write here.

Again, I feel it was just emotions flaring up due to the good game we were having. Osimhen overreacted and acted weirdly, but spirit like this, channelled properly, is actually what we need to be a fierce team and not a lackadaisical one.

We don't have to be calm at all times, Osimhen was wrong to walk off at full-time, and he needs to channel his passion the right way so it doesn't keep sending the wrong message!

Fire for fire! Raise am, raise am, raise am!
VIVA NIGERIA! 🇳🇬
VIVA Victor Osimhen! ⚔️
VIVA Ademola Lookman! 🪄
As I have repeatedly said, Osimhen shouting was a non-issue to me, cos these are expected. But strolling on the field, stop making runs and asked to be subbed all because a team did not pass the ball to you 😏 it's sabotage, way overboard.

Oga Kog, like I said earlier, street pass street. cheesy

He should stop looking down on his teammates just because he feels they don't have as much street credibility as he does. He could end up being very wrong.

One of the worst things to do in life is to underrate someone's destructive capabilities just because of your assumption of the person's background/childhood. Dem no dey write madness for face again oh. cheesy

Your usual expatriate journeyman oyibo would play with 6 at the back and claim we don't have good defenders.

Eric Chelle thought it wise to exploit our rich attacking resources. Bringing in Akor Adams was the last piece of the jigsaw. The boy gives us that latitude to play a flamboyant attacking football and best our opponents in all phases of play.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Odunayaw(m): 12:26am On Jan 06
It is right there in the sentence. I didn't see that part of the game because I stepped out to pick something before the drama. Hence "I'm scouring for more videos of the incidence"

What incidence? The altercation with Lookman [and Ndidi]. The least you can do is read bro
Mybettingtips:
I know what I watch on TV. Did you watch the match live? Leave the tantrum with Lookman first. Are you saying his other decisions to stroll around theoretic and leave the teammates at fulltime are fine? You need videos to judge those ones?

We need to send them a message
Though I admit, they may have a psychological edge over us now based on their last win against us
Na that one be the koko, we'll be more confident facing Algeria than Dr Congo especially this soon

This is what happened...Bruno had a clear chance to pass the ball to Victor but wasted the opportunity, osimhen was complaining and shouting at him, then Lookman cautioned him to Keep calm and stop complaining he then faced Lookman and was pointing at him.

Now this is what I got for those making it an Osimhen vs Lookman issue.

The least you can do is to read patiently. I said I was looking for videos of the incidence. Does this not tell you of particularity? It really doesn't cost much to carefully read.

Here's my quote from barely 10 mins after the game.
Odunayaw:
Osimhen must choose his battles clearly. Drive is good but not at the cost of being misunderstood
So what are you on about?

Diavolo:
Bro don't do this. You have been trying your best to defend an unacceptable behavior and frankly it's laughable. The videos only showed were he was shouting at lookman and shoving ndidi aside which is bad but that's even the smallest of his offences. After that he stopped making runs and asked to be substituted a very grave offence. Furthermore after the game he stormed to the dressing room and didn't join the team huddle or prayers after the match,he also didn't even acknowledge the fans. In addition there's a video of him also storming off to the team bus. So which of this other 3 Offences are exaggerated. Even if you excuse the shouting as passion, the other ones nko?. Even if our fanship let's be reasonable and remove bias

I also salute Chelle for resisting the temptation to start Onyedika. Many Nigerians ignorantly clamored for a double DM pivot which would have ruined the match.

The introduction of Frank Onyeka brought balance, solidity and efficiency to our play, allowing us quick transition from attack to defence without hesitation.

Theflint1:
I won't call it selfishness, but he does pick certain areas of the pitch to attempt assists from.

Whenever Lookman is on the byline, he'd make the cross, but when he's facing the goal, he'd hardly pass, and whenever he does make the pass he's looking for the return 1-2 that gives him a shooting opportunity. To be fair this is how he typically plays his game, and not something he's might be consciously looking to do.

It's these "selfish" decisions that he makes when within shooting distance that helps him create goals out of nothing, and it's also what makes him clash with Oshimhen who'd have created space expecting a pass. Both players just have to realize that the teams victory comes before everything else.
And nobody in the team presently hit the ball better than Lookman. Iheanacho was another SE player that was very good at that.

As long as Onyeka is fit onyedika cannot start ahead of him. He’s the reason we can hardly be bullied anymore in the midfield. Onyedika can come in to replace him or Ndidi!

He needs someone to stand up to him and I am happy Lookman did!
No matter what, you don't shout at your teammate like that.
Napoli complained about his behaviour, sold him to Turkey yet he never learnt.

There are number of times Lookman or Akor was free and nobody passed to them.
They complained and move on but you will be wailing and shouting as if you are speaking to boys you are feeding.
Come off it, young man!
It is football and you are already leading three nil. There will be moment of selfishness.
That is football for you!

You are trying to be clever by half. So which of his actions were misunderstood or exaggerated because we both know if it was Nwabali that did this rubbish he did people would have called for him to be sent home. None of his actions wee misunderstood neither are people reactions exaggerated, his actions were unacceptable and condemable and people have been rightly doing so.

Ndidi is not captain material
He's only captain because Simon doesn't start
The true leader of this team is Osimhen
That's why everyone listens to him
As long as this Afcon is concern, Ndidi is the captain of the team, even if Moses starts

Don't misunderstand me but Akor Adams brings a kanu Nwankwo type of spark in that attack

Not overly flashy and very intelligent

He is what we thought Boniface would be

We already have a double DM pivot. Onyeka double-pivots with Ndidi while also operating as the RCM.

You say Nigerians ignorantly clamored for a double DM pivot but didnt even know we play with a double pivot with Iwobi LCMing while also falling back when needed. Not knowing this is your own ignorance.

But isn't it obvious that that's not all there is to it. There are 3 more unacceptable behaviors to it and people are rightly calling the whole event out. You now trying to water it down as if the noise is just about one thing is ridiculous. I'm sure you are smarter than how you are sounding right now. By no stretch of the imagination were those actions misunderstand or peoples reactions exaggerated and those words should never have been used by now if you were not trying to defend and downplay his horrible behavior because of bias and fake fan love.

It's similar to the goal he scored against Tunisia. The drop of the shoulder and shape to shoot. I remember Mujtahida said it that if he had lost that chance against Tunisia he'd have been roasted.

Scene looks like something that could be taken on the chin.
