Ndidi has done well so far as captain. He truly deserves to lead the team. He is a very good player with a lot of experience, composure and patience. |

You're being obtuse and it's ridiculous. I am clearly speaking of one incidence hence article "the" before incidence. If you're not quick enough to see the context to the video BankyGee posted then I offer you my pity. Diavolo: |

〽️💣 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟: 🇳🇬 Nigeria has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals for the 12th time since 1992—more than any other nation in the history of the competition. Nigeria has become the first team to win by a four-goal margin in the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations since Egypt’s 4–0 victory over Algeria in the semi-finals on January 28, 2010. This marks the second time in history that Nigeria has won an AFCON match by four goals, following their 4–0 victory against South Africa on January 31, 2004. Enoch Essel |

Our opponents will have a torrid time containing Osimhen and Adams because they frequently switch positions and can easily shake off a defender. Playing Lookman in the hole makes a lot of sense because in that position, he is able to evade close marking from the defenders and can pop up on the wings when Iwobi threads the needle to cause maximum damage. |

Goke7:False narrative, the first video wasn't the cos of the incident. That video Lookman even tried to squeeze the ball to Osimhen and beat himself that the ball defenders intercept the ball. Stop throwing random videos to push your agenda. |

At the end I trust maturity and better judgement to prevail for Lookman and Osimhen to sort out their differences and hug it out like real men and brothers...the media juggernauts are all up in arms trying to push all sorts of propaganda and stir up more drama, but I know these players have profound love, respect and camaraderie for each other, the heat and passion of the moment just got to them; and that happens to the best of players out there. No more distractions, Chelle has come out to say he has talked to Osimhen and everything will be settled in-house without all the media drama-hunters scavenging around for headlines. Onwards we go! |

But clearly that wasn't the only incident. That was just one out of a number of and people already mentioned that to you and you had even previously commented on those ones. And even the "the" incident you are talking about is his behaviour there acceptable. Who gives him the right to be shouting at his teammates in that manner and shoving the captain aside and saying nobody should fucking talk to him. Sticking to that incident alone, how do you justify that and say people are exaggerating. Whether "the" incident alone or the other stupid ones he did, none should be tolerated and everyone apart from you and the other moniker have rightly condemned him. Odunayaw: |

I am focused on the only incident I didn't catch in the game. Now, the vid Banky shared has nothing more than the mouthing of "it's a team game" to which I conditioned the exaggeration to IF that's the only video on it. The problem here is your refusal to engage what I said instead of your strawman. And except you have videos for me to see what happened in this incident spare me the sanctimony. Odunayaw:If this is not condemnation enough for the walk out on the team, I'm happy to disappoint you. Diavolo: |

Unpopular Opinion: I do not agree with the excessive vilification of our players. Saying this as regards all the hear Osimhen has been getting post-match. I’m not saying people aren’t entitled to their opinions, especially as this is a recurring behavior that Osimhen has failed to grow from, but just as with our 2021 AFCON exit, I do not see the merit in piling on someone when they’re already getting heat. Nigerians have huge issues with balancing the punishment and the crime. Once they feel a certain way about someone, they whip the person relentlessly. The team had a good game, Osimhen lost his head and unfairly raved at his teammate over a goal that was not needed, in the process of dojnf this, he shrugged off Ndidi, who tried to prevail on him as Captain. Yes, he’s indisciplined, but we already knew this. We need not overflog the issue and denigrate him over it. Omo, moderation is key |

From Awaziem's words, I think that may have been done coz he clearly stated things have been resolved. He may have to do a proper one in their very next training session though but we wont know because I am sure Eric "The" Chelle will keep our sessions closed again. Odunayaw: |

Let us talk about Iwobi's Pre-assists today. 1st Pre-assist... Sweet lines breaking pass to Akor Adams who assisted Lookman. 2nd Pre-assist pass.... Another beautifully weighted pass from deep in left midfield to Lookman, who floated in a fine cross which got a slight touch from Akor Adams before reaching Osimhen who finished. Ofcos the Akor touch means preassist belongs to Lookman but abeg, in my book, the goal began at the foot of Iwobi. Those line breaker passes are just sublime. 3rd Pre-assist... Early in the 2nd half, Iwobi Fed Lookman again before Lookman wriggled his way and found Osimhen with that intelligent cross. Vs Tunisia, his preassist pass to Osimhen who assisted Lookman is another piece of midfield class pointing to this part of Iwobi's game that has become a constant at this tournament. 2 assists, 4 pre-assists. Insane Final third pass numbers. 9 chances created across 3 games so far. Alex Iwobi is having his best Major tournament showing in the Green white and Green & it is likely to culminate in a title triumph. Attack is firing. Midfield is creating and showing presence. Switch from midfield 2 to Midfield 3 yielding fine fruit. Defence looks compact... the team transits and presses with purpose and control. The pieces are coming together and Iwobi is one of those key pieces.

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 3:19am On Jan 06 |
Just stop. This is not about pitting Osimhen vs Lookman and we have nothing to check. Osimhen is the numero uno Striker. The biggest Gun of this team and the team needs his world class quality. He will start the next game in the Quarters so let us not tempt childish and silly decisions to "see something". Osimhen's grouse was never with Lookman in the first place. It was with Bruno Onyemaechi who actually should have passed to a very free Osimhen. I am rewatching the game and around min 61-63, Bruno's best pass option was Victor to Bruno's right. It was diabolical what Bruno did and Vic is right to call him out for that. Now where Vic was wrong and probably went overboard was walking up to Lookman (who told him to calm down when he lashed out verbally at Bruno) to communicate his point saying "it's a team game" as if he was picking an issue with him. So please... Osimhen has no issues with Lookman. Lookman always looked for Osimhen in the Mozambique game. It is Bruno that Osimhen was really mad at and if you are rewatching the game like I am now, you will see it and slam Bruno as well. All said and done... All is resolved. We move on. yinkeys: |

yinkeys:Don't make it Lookman vs Osimhen thing. Lookman is performing, Osimhen is doing OK. If we are going to win this trophy, two of them have to work together. The bolded is not necessary. |

The "drama" has vindicated Edafe who has always opined that these guys have subtle dislike for each other from his personal interactions with the players. Osimhen's behavior was totally unacceptable towards a teammate but I want to believe there was an undercurrent to his action..probably unresolved issues now escalating in that manner in the public. I hope Chelle and his backroom staff manage this properly to keep this team focused on their goals/objectives. |

Bannedlargejr:Mr Yes-Men Crooner is back at it. Well, even Lookman disagrees with you and says: "....Vic is our number one guy, everybody knows this, he’s a top striker. So, all of that doesn't matter" So I guess that makes Lookman himself a yes-man. Go and take out his tongue.
