Investing with them directly is better I will advise you go for Norrenberger and FirstAlly myinvestar
split your investment but investing is Trustbanc do it through cowrywise app but for me I don't like stressing myself ontop my money so I chose the two I mentioned above.

@emmasoft please put more light here

It's okay. I prefer that myself. Click the second link in my signature to open an account with Norrenberger. Then, download the MyInvestar app and use SA-Emma as your referral code for First Ally. I'm not a Rep to TrustBanc, but I know their process will be similar.
Re: Mutual Funds by Rhymeyjohn: 7:56pm On Jan 05
Please advise me.
Is Cowrywise good to buy Equity funds or I should use the funds manager directly.

It's a small amount and I want to build it. I'm looking at United Capital

It will save your beneficiaries a lot of legal processes

Norrenberger has not been crediting interest since 1st of January. Is it just me or a general problem?

I generally dislike fund managers who remit interest at their discretion. Some routinely delay to T+3 or longer. I recently exited one for this same reason. The interest is already earned; delaying payment suggests it’s being reused to generate extra returns for the manager.

It also distorts termination values…cos when you terminate, you’re effectively exiting at a value that does not reflect your true accrued earnings. I once terminated one of my funds and lost about four days’ interest (about 100k), which was never remitted till date.

To make things worse, almost all managers don’t even show daily remitted interest in their statements, and some don’t even send statements at all (I find this really strange), so you can’t tell what’s delayed at a given time or what you’ve lost at termination.

EOM or EOY excuses are fine occasionally, but when delays are consistent, they raise red flags. This is a key area I feel SEC should take a look at. Operations should be standardized across board to boost investors confidence in the industry.
Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 11:34pm On Jan 05
Same here, even my top-up hasn't been credited. Their service is substandard; the only good thing they have is the "rate."

FirstAlly and CardinalStone do show daily rates even during the holidays; nevertheless, I don't know if they will continue doing that in the future. Meristem is the worst for daily rate statements, very clumsy and shady.

Good morning Everyone. I know this may not be mutual fund but this was the mail I received this morning from Piggyvest. If piggyvest will toll this path, indirectly most tech investment and savings firms will follow this same path if I'm not mistaken?
But Payment of 10% WHT isn't new. Even banks deduct WHT When they pay interest on your savings.

Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 5:43am On Jan 06
I think it is because of the holiday, and this month they might pay a dividend. The system is quite sluggish during the dividend period. It's not a scam; they are reliable but slow.

Finally, "l don port" my capital from ARM on Palmpay platform to Trustbanc on cowrywise this morning.
My question is, when is the interest going to start dropping? Today, tomorrow or in 2 days time?

We sincerely apologize for the delay in subscribing your funds.

Please be informed that subscriptions and redemptions are slightly delayed due to the ongoing year-end activities. All pending transactions would be treated once the process is completed.

The above is message from customer care, Norrenberger.

Currently using Meristem, their rate is a dime a dozen. Try Norrenberger or FirstAlly. CardinalStone is also good but not as good as the first two in MMF.
Thanks 🙏🏾

I will naturally give u the names I represent - Norrenberger, First Ally, Stanbic and SFS.
For rate - pick Norrenberger. Click the second link in my signature to register for free. If done today you will get your account details tomorrow.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏾

Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 12:27pm On Jan 06
The equity fund market is currently performing well; yesterday, it earned more than 67,000 naira with my 4 million capital. MMFs provide stability, whereas equity promotes growth. There is no drama surrounding interest rates or dividends.
Re: Mutual Funds by Coolis: 1:09pm On Jan 06
Okay. l considered the processing fees charged by cowrywise to take my fund to Trustbanc platform and that of Norrenberger, cowrywise project excites me more.
Cowrywise is charging little or nothing to process fund unlike others. I have been enriching Palmpay without realizing it. To process 1 million, Palmpay has been charging me 10k to take my fund to ARM platform. I took 1.2 to Trustbanc via cowrywise this morning and cowry only charged me N250.

Re: Mutual Funds by Coolis: 1:53pm On Jan 06
Withdrawal shouldn't take more than 48hr for fund to reflect in one account. l just joined cowry, l haven't made withdrawal yet so can't say much about their withdrawal policy. Those that have been on cowry for long, make una answer bikonu

Stanbic has about 30days window period before you will be able to withdraw without penalty. Does it apply here also?.

if you willing to pay, we could design a script to get actual readings almost as soon as it reflects on your dashboard. That way, you're able to tell the current rate at which was used for you.
