I just watched the highlights now. 😂 This Osimhen shiit show should absolutely attract a fine. Maybe he thinks others are not pro footballers or he thinks it’s ajegunle set he is playing with. Na because person never give am better decking for nose. These SE players too soft.

Omo , if man utd sign this one, he go give Amad better decking if dem no pass give am.

Osimhen himself has missed 4 big chances and scored 6 offside goals wasting the chances both Akor and Lookman have been giving him so he has no right to shout at Lookman especially who by all accounts in this tournament has been the best player.

Coach Eric Chelle on Iwobi

"Alex Iwobi smells football. He has a high football IQ. I’m very proud of him and so is the team.” - Head coach Eric Chelle, praising the performance of Iwobi, in Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Mozambique

Lookman on WC Failure and Afcon Focus

“The fact that we didn’t qualify for the FIFA World Cup is not going to go away. We have to deal with that. But we are at the AFCON, we now have a big game to play in five days (against Algeria or DR Congo) and we have to prepare for that.” - Ademola Lookman, responding to Osasu on whether the Super Eagles are getting over the WC failure, with their current AFCON run.

I've noticed a pattern. When Nwabali starts his madness and ndidi tries to calm the situation,he gets shoved aside and I think that has happened more than once, now today osihmen too has done the same thing. Is it that they don't respect ndidi enough or are those two people just too hot headed. We need a firm captain that can take charge especially with the pitbulls we have
I think it's just two of them. Ndidi is also a strong-headed person.

Your usual expatriate journeyman oyibo would play with 6 at the back and claim we don't have good defenders.

Eric Chelle thought it wise to exploit our rich attacking resources. Bringing in Akor Adams was the last piece of the jigsaw. The boy gives us that latitude to play a flamboyant attacking football and best our opponents in all phases of play.
Louder.

Eric Chelle needs to call them and tell them or else they should be sent packing from the Camp

Is Calvin Bassey suspended for the quarter finals? I'm seeing on Wikipedia that he's on the list for suspended players. undecided

You know I have a dream to win this game by 4 or 5 goals without any goal for my team and have 80% possession - Eric Sekou Chelle.

May your dream come true. 8pm can't come soon enough.

My predictions.
🔸Nigeria 3 Mozambique 0
🔸Osimhen brace, one goal.for Akor.
🔸Super Eagles keep their first clean sheet
🔸Not less than 60% ball possession.
🔸Same starting lineup vs Tunisia.

Lets go.
This above was my prediction posted at 8.56am yesterday, eleven hours before the match.

Scoreline ❌
Goal scorers ✔️
Clean sheet ✔️
Possession ✔️
Starting line up ✔️

Not perfect but when you understand ball, patterns show and you read the game right.

I'm just concerned how they are going to resolve this Osimhen's behavior today, because there are consequences for his actions.
One is that it may cost us this trophy,as he is vital to this team, his absence affects the team in general.
Against Congo Dr,he tried to pick up a fight against Lookman,he was substituted though because of injury, we went on to lose the match.
I pray the coaches and team Psychologist resolve everything amicably with him and the players so that we should have emotionally fit Osimhen for the next matches.

Osimhen should learn to control himself sometimes, going straight to the dressing room without your team mates, you got this one wrong,
Nigeria loves you but remember that Nigeria is funny country, they can decide to turn on you at any time.
The trophy is gone. This thing that happened yesterday is the fly that spoils the apothecary.

Me I like Osihmen die, but he need to know that the team is not about him. This is Super Eagles with huge Heritage and rich history, many of the players in this team are top players, he should play more for the team, the goals will eventually come.

On to the DRC/Algeria game.
The issue is not him playing for the team. He does that. His anger is that others are not as selfless as he is but then that doesn't warrant him throwing tantrums and acting up.

In all my years of watching SE, I've never seen anything like this before.

How did Oliseh (who is very hot headed) Amokachi and other big names in our team cope with Jay Jay? They just took it in their stride.

This Osimhen's attitude is a big flaw.

Exactly. You never see him coming. Only thing is boom. There's a way he just arrives as if from nowhere.

Osimhen you can see him moving but you just can't stop him but Lookman? That guy na sniper.

Lookman wasn’t deployed as a 10 by Chelle but as a false 9/Auxilliary striker who make runs to the middle when the 2 deployed strikers (Akor and Osimhen) are down on the flanks

Rest the agenda abeg
And that's his best position. Osimhen and Akor creates space for him to pounce. The way he arrives in the box is deadly.

I mean, everyone wants the ball to score yeah... Everyone wanna win at anytime. So, it's a football thing and now the issue has ben (re)solved. Everyone is cool. Victor is cool. Ademola is cool. Ndidi is cool.... everyone is good now so we just focus on the next game. We dont have any issues with that."
We're not cool biko. Osimhen should personally send apology message to this thread. Me, I still dey vex. grin

Nice attempt but trequartista suits the description of Lookman's role better. He also has to go flankwise but in the box to get those crosses in. That is how all his assists have come about. Lookman attacks space across the entire final third not just through the middle when either of the Prima Puntas go wide.
Italians got the most quaint and poetic sounding terms for football. Prima punta sweet oo.

Who else was impressed with Bright Osayi-Samuel? That boy has always impressed me since he joined us. He is levels above Alebiosu for sure.
I liked his tenacity today and his link-up with Onyeka.
😂😂😂😂😂 Osayi no good. He's not better than Alebiosu. Maybe more experienced.

Make Congo or Algeria catch am first. Did you see how Congo tortured Benjamin in that playoff? Imagine if it was Osayi

Osimheen, Iwobi, Adams are team players

That's how Lookman hid against DRC South Africa & Benin republic
Osimheen haaters can be annoying
Abeg he should sit on the bench let others play
When has Lookman bailed us when we are having a bad game
The test starts now
Small teams have been knocked out
Do not worry we would be applauding him next if he repeat the same thing...do we need to bring sentiment to sensitive issue that can disrupt the team synergies.... you're so emotive to the extent that you can't hide the same hate you're preaching against for Lookman and you're calling others haters for expressing their opinions on Osimhen behavior yesterday, even Osimhen real fans are not happy with him.....the issue is not Osimhen vs Lookman but for the success of the team....thank God things have been resolved and we're free to go against Algeria or Congo Dr

Mr Yes-Men Crooner is back at it.

Well, even Lookman disagrees with you and says: "....Vic is our number one guy, everybody knows this, he’s a top striker. So, all of that doesn't matter"

So I guess that makes Lookman himself a yes-man. Go and take out his tongue.
We don even get another name yesterday- Praise men 😂 happy to be one always
