Thank you.
Well, I’ve joined the waiting list since March, I’ve had alot of back and forth too.

Hi everyone. Pls I need a clarification.

For those who have used a Declaration of Commitment (Verpflichtungserklärung) in their application, is it the same thing as a Letter of Sponsorship? If it isn't, does a Letter of Sponsorship (with relevant attachments) suffice?

Good morning everyone, I was sent a mail yesterday that I’ve not processed my application for 46 days and it would be automatically deleted if it has not been processed by then.
I want to know what this means cos I’ve been on the waiting list since 27th October.
Meanwhile I do log into the portal and I usually see “ you’re on the waiting list” so I want to know what this means and if anyone here has encountered such mail before.
Please the gurus in the house I need your advice on what to do

Hello,

When you log in, what is the timeline you see on the waiting list? Has it reduced from 6-12 months?

Also, when you log in, do you view your application? Like open and view it or you just log in and log out?

I think they normally send this mail at the end of every month. You are just required to log in and confirm that you want to remain in the queue. That's all.

I checked and mine has reduced from 6-12 months to 2 - 6 months. I think it's the same for everyone.

Please, I want to know if whats showing on mine is same as others.
Is this what you see when you log in?

I got the first mail on the 3rd of Jan and I logged in and out of the portal though there’s no message if to continue waiting or not.
Even the wait time is no longer showing on my dashboard then they sent another one yesterday saying the same thing including automatically deleting my application in 14 days time if no action is performed

Good day everyone,

I noticed many people are interested in relocating to Germany using the new Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte), especially in 2026.

I recently made a YouTube video where I explained:
– How the Opportunity Card really works
– The real cost of living beyond the blocked account
– Why some people are returning home after a few months
– Which jobs actually give foreigners a chance in 2026

This is not a motivational video it’s a reality check.

You can watch it here:

Hi everyone, has anyone here used an HND or ND to apply for the Opportunity Card and successfully gotten a visa, or is currently in the process? I’d really appreciate your comments, I have a few questions. Thanks, and Happy New Year to you all!

Let me break the silence with some good news

I’m happy to share that I finally received my visa, Decision was made on the 2nd January and i finally received my passport today January 8th.
My interview date was October 22nd, and after waiting patiently until now, it has finally come through.

This journey definitely had its ups and downs. Some people here already know about the back-and-forth and the challenges I faced along the way, but I’m truly grateful that it all worked out in the end. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported, encouraged, and shared useful information during this process.

To everyone still waiting or preparing for their own visa, I wish you the very best of luck. Stay strong, your turn will come too.

Now, on to the next phase 🇩🇪✈️
If anyone has information on the next steps after landing in Germany such as registration and other important requirements please kindly share a step-by-step guide. I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you all once again, and wishing everyone success on their journey.

How was your interview?
Good morning, my interview went smoothly thank God.
I was asked mostly things about my documents submitted on their portal. Why Germany?, who am I staying with?, why not other English country?, what are my future plans? And like 10 aptitude tests on my field of study (physics & maths).
Be ready to stand for 40mins plus answering your interview questions.
