exactly, while the Coach is expected to have a word with Victor, he should extend same to Lookman too, for peace to reign in the camp. And lookman too should also be spoken to to not allow what happened on the pitch affect him to the point he becomes indecisive when playing. He should play the way he knows how to play and not be pressured into doing what he cannot do.

you made a very valid point here. Osimhen, like somebody pointed out, you're a senior player in this team, please find a way to accommodate people. The team's success is more important now. You can't blame lookman for how he plays because that's how he is built to play, and he may not be doing it on purpose. Both of you are very important to the team and you cannot be having issues now.
Things like this happen sometimes but the two of you'll have to find a way to get along on the pitch. Mane and Salah had public outbursts too but they still worked together when they played for Liverpool and did not allow their outburst to affect the synergy between them and the team. As a senior player there are some things just have to overlook for the progress of the team and your own progress too. Lookman has been doing well and playing good football too, and I'm sure he will assist the team in any way he can whether in scoring or giving assists.

For me, I am glad this altercation happened..
It will give everyone a chance to address issues on the team that may have been swept under the carpet, like Osimhen's own constant whining, Nwabali's unnecessary risk taking, Lookman's holding on to the ball for too long, etc..
It will bring greater understanding and appreciation of everyone's individual strengths and weaknesses..
The team will become stronger as a result..

But while that is being done, for the sake of the team, Osimhen should be publicly sanctioned..

Will come to my player ratings in a bit but I would like to speak about Osimhen's rotten behavior yesterday.

I like Victor pieces and have been one of his biggest advocates on this thread even before he became a mainstay in the SE, so I speak as someone who has his best interests at heart.

His attitude yesterday was a disappointment to put it lightly. Quarreling with teammates and disrespecting the team and coach with his on-field reaction was painful. He honestly needs to fix up. No be only him get passion and wan win match.

Going off on your teammates for not giving you balls on time when you yourself miss chances and build a bungalow in the offside position is hypocrisy promax.

Victor is an important asset to the national team however he isn't indispensable. Nigeria was winning games before he came on the scene and will continue to win when he's no longer able to wear the GWG so he should stop with the main character syndrome.

That said I think Victor's reaction yesterday is beyond what happened on the pitch maybe something personal because it doesn't make sense that you scored twice your team won yet you're behaving like someone stole your property.

The group including the coach, NFF officials, and players will definitely sort things out, but I think senior men like Ekong and Mikel should have a heart to heart with Osimhen on how to manage his anger.

Plus Victor should apologize to his teammates pronto.

I hope you know what you did hear is very dishonest. You created your own straw man and posited arguments to fit a false narrative. I'll put it in bullet so you can have perspective.

1. The issue between Victor and Lookman had nothing to do with Lookman being "selfish". The player Victor was angry with was Bruno (initially thought Osayi), and Victor got in his face because Bruno didn't pass him the ball.

2. Lookman then intervened l, asked Victor to tone down, more like called out his BS. This is what Victor was angry with Lookman about.

3. So if you choose to even slander Lookman, at least stick to the context of what happened and not create your own false narrative. You can legitimately castigate Lookman for asking Osimhen to calm down, but you can't in support of Victor say Lookman is Selfish as if that's what cause the beef between him and Victor.

4. Lookman obviously can be selfish, he's historically shown to be, but the allegation of selfishness in the AFCON is just slander at this point. Can he be indecisive leading to him making a bad decision? Obviously, but accusing him of selfishness in this AFCON when he literally leads the assist chart is crazy.

Lookman has been stellar. Absolutely devastating for opposing teams. He's a true Eagle in the way he swoops down on his prey. A raptor per excellence.

Lookman wasn’t deployed as a 10 by Chelle but as a false 9/Auxilliary striker who make runs to the middle when the 2 deployed strikers (Akor and Osimhen) are down on the flanks

We can all agreed that Eric chelle is one of the best coach for super eagles, if he win the afcon or not, he has proved that's technically sound.

It's too early for this please. The bench mark is finals not even Semi finals.
Our home based coaches got us to Semis and won 3rd place. To prove he is the best, He should break that feat.
