All jokes aside, Eric Chelle needs to lock up shop again and drill these boys physically and mentally. We need to be in the zone for this quarter finals. As much as we've dominated the tournament so far, the next fixture is arguably the one that will determine our fate in this AFCON. We can't be caught slipping at this crucial moment. We need all the players in harmony to function as a team and go out there and deliver. |

FiveFootNinja:exactly, while the Coach is expected to have a word with Victor, he should extend same to Lookman too, for peace to reign in the camp. And lookman too should also be spoken to to not allow what happened on the pitch affect him to the point he becomes indecisive when playing. He should play the way he knows how to play and not be pressured into doing what he cannot do. |

Moniter0:For me, I am glad this altercation happened.. It will give everyone a chance to address issues on the team that may have been swept under the carpet, like Osimhen's own constant whining, Nwabali's unnecessary risk taking, Lookman's holding on to the ball for too long, etc.. It will bring greater understanding and appreciation of everyone's individual strengths and weaknesses.. The team will become stronger as a result.. But while that is being done, for the sake of the team, Osimhen should be publicly sanctioned.. A fine and some time on the bench, coupled with a public apology Only then can the team truly move forward from this imbroglio |

Good morning everyone. Will come to my player ratings in a bit but I would like to speak about Osimhen's rotten behavior yesterday. I like Victor pieces and have been one of his biggest advocates on this thread even before he became a mainstay in the SE, so I speak as someone who has his best interests at heart. His attitude yesterday was a disappointment to put it lightly. Quarreling with teammates and disrespecting the team and coach with his on-field reaction was painful. He honestly needs to fix up. No be only him get passion and wan win match. Going off on your teammates for not giving you balls on time when you yourself miss chances and build a bungalow in the offside position is hypocrisy promax. Victor is an important asset to the national team however he isn't indispensable. Nigeria was winning games before he came on the scene and will continue to win when he's no longer able to wear the GWG so he should stop with the main character syndrome. That said I think Victor's reaction yesterday is beyond what happened on the pitch maybe something personal because it doesn't make sense that you scored twice your team won yet you're behaving like someone stole your property. The group including the coach, NFF officials, and players will definitely sort things out, but I think senior men like Ekong and Mikel should have a heart to heart with Osimhen on how to manage his anger. Plus Victor should apologize to his teammates pronto. |

Any team we are meeting must collect cos we have scores to settle. I bin step out to pee that night only to see Mahrez and his brothers jubilating. A drop of tear made a tent upon my lovely eyeball and my mouth couldn't speaketh not. Haa Algeria, na matter of days. And DR Congo, you denied us a world cup qualification. TBH, we fumbled but then why you sef no fumble. Who tell una make una score your PKs. We will be there. |

As always, Nigerians are too thick to see how self-destructive they are. This is how the players foolishly chose to boycott training right before the most important game we played in 2025. We just bamboozled a strong Mozambique side and journalists on the social media space are stupidly fanning the embers of discord and disunity within the team, picking sides and bashing Osimhen or Lookman. Why are we cursed in this country? Why do we have to air our dirty laundry out in public and ruin things for ourselves? I just hope Osimhen and Lookman can put all this aside and avoid social media because the fans and journalists are making this whole fiasco ten times worse with foolish statements and suggestions, questioning Osimhen's contributions or implying that certain players are not needed in the team. Nigerians I pour spit for una! Look at what Nigerians below are saying! |

NasirIbnLaAhad:You ended up doing exactly what you are criticizing Nigerians of doing You don't qualify to promote any self righteous stance here.. You could have made your point without adding the last sentence.. That last line completely negated the self righteous stance you were trying to take.. You are equally as guilty the Nigerians you are trying to slander You might as well pick your own side and bash Lookman or Osimhen You no qualify to behave like saviour |

Osimhen destroyed our joy and it is disgraceful. By the way, I was gonna talk about Bashir, nna ehn I love how that boy plays the number 10 role. This guy knows how to run into good spaces to receive a pass and to deliver passes into the 18 yard box. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 123jamessmith: 8:51am On Jan 06 |
After this competition, the super eagles need to be winning matches without oshimen. That guy is too punpous and proud. Just imagine ademola lookman challenge him yesterday and one of them end up getting a yellow card. Ademola lookman has been better than him in this tournament. |

And the annoying thing about this oshimen issue is that he will never apologize and the nff will allow the matter to die like that. |

123jamessmith:It's too early for this please. The bench mark is finals not even Semi finals. Our home based coaches got us to Semis and won 3rd place. To prove he is the best, He should break that feat. |

123jamessmith:No this one is different He will have to apologize I also recommend some time on the bench plus a fine.. Then we should move on quickly from this |
