Nigerian Man Explains What The Police Did To Him For Being A Good Samaritan by BlackViper(op): 12:03pm On Jan 06
Sometime this year, I made the grievous mistake of rushing a dying young man who had collapsed on the road to the hospital at the instance of a doctor who I had earlier called for advice, even when everybody chose to walk pass.

Unfortunately, upon reaching the hospital, the young man gave up the ghost. Out of protocol, I requested that the police be informed since I never knew the person involved, i was just trying to be a good citizen.

I was taken to incident the case at GRA Police station in Asaba. To tell you how wicked some officers of the Nigerian Police Force could be, I was instead accused of murder with my statement taken under caution. CSP Christopher Odoh, the DPO, told me he must deal with me for acting like ‘Jesus. Those were his exact words.

He bluntly told me that when he is through with me, if I see anybody dying again, I would walk pass, even after the deceased victims family had confirmed that their late son had an underlying condition.

I immediately understood why people make videos in such a situation and do not make an attempt to rescue the victim. It took the grace of God through a very very top government functionary for me to have escaped the murder charge that I was tagged with.

Even after the VVIP personally came to attest and ensure I was released, the Nigerian Police Force, through CSP Christopher Odoh of the Asaba GRA Division still emptied my account as bail money, I went home with only Two thousand Naira.

As the year comes to an end, I am using this opportunity to thank God for bringing me out of tha situation. Many people are still in prison for cases lesser than mine. My people, join me to thank God.

That's why it is called news.

On the other hand, how can a country be better if we can't help each other? How can one of the most indigenous institutions told you that next time you won't act like Jesus? How nah?

Nigeria police are deputy devil
Re: Nigerian Man Explains What The Police Did To Him For Being A Good Samaritan by Berankis:
Some of the Nigerian Police Officers have actually lost their conscience and sold their souls to the devil.
I have had a similar but less severe encounter with them too that made me change my notion about the Police. I was detained overnight along with my wife even as essential workers during the COVID 19 period while we had all our papers and work permits by the DPO of Isashi Police Station. Our colleagues bombarded the station the next day to ensure our release while the DPO stayed away from his office, he was hiding around while they were preparing to take us to court.
I can help a dying civilian irrespective of the consequences but I cannot help a dying Police Officer. And I don't give them lift in my vehicle, so long you are in Police uniform. No way sir!

That’s how I lost 2.8 million naira last year because I was trying to help someone I thought had lost his way by giving him the right direction. What happened next is still a mystery. Since that crazy experience I always mind my business… I even created a thread on it. This is a link below!

This is the major reason why accident victims no longer receive help. The biggest mistake you would make as a transporter is to convey an accident victim with your vehicle. Hmmm brother u will regret ever been born. Is so sad. If police gets involved is game over for you , even if the victims survive you will still be made to part with your hard earned money on top help wa u help. Am speaking from experience
