This is what happened...Bruno had a clear chance to pass the ball to Victor but wasted the opportunity, osimhen was complaining and shouting at him, then Lookman cautioned him to Keep calm and stop complaining he then faced Lookman and was pointing at him.

Now this is what I got for those making it an Osimhen vs Lookman issue.
Our captain is not outspoken. We wasted so many opportunities because of glory hunting. I can count 2 in series from Osayi. Then Bruno, then Lookman and even Akor. Captain should have cautioned these players. He just kept mute. It the captain had talked perhaps Osimhen wouldn't have bothered. We all almost fried Ejuke for not passing and suddenly we are all mute because Osimhen was very angry with what was happening. Just imagine that we were chasing the game and these players were wasting all those chances. I will not scold Osimhen one bit for the outburst, I'm only mad at him for taking it to the level he took it to. It he had continued his normal game after the outburst, I go even dash him my sister for speaking up.
The I don't care attitude he exhibited afterwards is a no no to me. I have seen Nwabali drag his defenders for shirt like pikin wey steal Akara balls for making some school boy mistakes, but still the game continues.

Meanwhile, this Rafiu Durosinmi move to Pisa ehn. Half season move to a top 5 league club yes, but one battling relegation. Omo. It wont be nice having him play Serie B football in 7 months. I hope Pisa survives especially as Akinsanmiro is still at this Afcon till possibly the 18th.

They are even in action currently vs Fabregas' Como.

As far I am concerned we don't have a captain.Ndidi is a fine player but he has not really take charge of the team has captain

Every one is just saying that we are already 3 goals to be good. Assuming we turn the scenario around and the match is against Algeria. Luckily we re 3 goals up, then suddenly the players start their glory hunting. I bet you all these fans who are on Osimhens neck will hail him and encourage him to even slap sense into some of the players.
We should not shift the goal post when the scenario changes.

The point is simple. It is not a game thing but a long term goal. You need to keep oiling the tactics. Anything less is sabotage.
God bless you. No be Osimhen score 4 and gave 2 assists the dey we beat São Tomé 10–0? Lookman too scored 2 and had 2 assists in that game I think, Moses Simon, 1 goal one assist. Osimhen won a PK and gave Dennis to score for 10–0.

If Osimhen plays for the team why can't the RBs and midfielders or wingers do same? For big chances created Osimhen has 3 as a CF in this tournament and 6 chances created. Isn't that showing that he's a team player as a centre-forward?

Our style of football now allows for few and fast forward movements that will mostly end up to the CF many times, but instead of that one touch pass to your CF in the box you'll start doing dribbles that you didn't do in the entire buildup to that position.

It's painful. Osimhen made like 3 intelligent runs and was clearly open simple passes which didn't come all those times before the outburst. It was a case of holding back the anger since.

Lookman was saying you already have 2 goals... So because he's on two, he's banned from scoring more or what? Lookman would've had 2 goals and 4 assists yesterday if he kept everything simple and moving fast as it should be.

Chelle will sort it out tho. Osimhen overreacted, but it wasn't because he just wanted to overreact. He wants the team to play at the highest level, and it can only work if they play as a team, not counting each others goals and saying e don do like that.

Our full backs have not been pressed oo. Osayi is very terrible at shooting.

That’s the height of irresponsibility and indiscipline na wa o! things Dey happen 😂 I just don’t want to believe he Dey drag highest goal scorer without common sense. And like you said if he had kept things simple both players would have use the match yesterday to become highest scorers in the competition by now than Brahim Diaz. So unfortunate

It is not the job of the captain to be cautioning anybody during the match. That’s why we have coach. This is not local football.

The only time any player should raise their voice on another player is to call their attention esp during set pieces. There’s absolutely no place for a pro player to be cautioning his fellow teammate on the pitch. That’s amateur nonsense you find in Ibadan or Onitsha street football.

On this forum, me and charlesemeka85 were steadfast in defending Iwobi.

For me, it was because I watched him during Rohr and saw his offensive contributions.

When he was moved deeper and saddled with defensive responsibilities, his game contribution suffered and he was often made the butt of the fans' ire.

I'm so happy for him. He's a great servant of the SE and if it will not be too much, it is for his sake that I pray we win this AFCON.

Osimhen FINALLY addressed yesterday’s Behavior.

“ When we did not Qualify for the World Cup , everyone called just me out . They forgot about other players . That’s when I understood the weight is on me . Yes we scored 3 Goals already but in football 5 goals can be scored in 3 mins that’s why we did not have to relax . The whole country is counting on us and if we fail ,they’ll drag us everywhere especially me . I love Lookman , he is my brother and he understands that was just football . Everyone wants Nigeria to win the AFCON and it doesn’t come easy . We must do our best “

I beg to disagree. Goalie dey shout wella. If a player is lax, they need to wake them up.

The amazing thing is that he’s still playing from the very same position he was last Afcon but now offering more offensively and dictating the tempo of the game at intervals na dat one sweet me pass. Nothing that guy can do wrong again in my eyes.
