Lookman just post these pictures on his Instagram account with the inscription "Together Always "
Lookman is very matured as a player. It showed in his press conference and now this.

I beg to disagree. Goalie dey shout wella. If a player is lax, they need to wake them up.
Most of it is just calling the player’s attention or setting the defense line before something happens. It is a different thing.

Caution is after a player has already made the wrong decision and his fellow teammate starts warning or correcting him on the pitch. That's unacceptable.

Super Eagles Update 🇳🇬 The on-field remonstration between Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman during the match against Mozambique has been addressed internally. All issues have been resolved, and reports suggesting otherwise should be disregarded.

The Super Eagles will hold a recovery session today in Fès. Twenty-six players are expected to train, while injured defender Ryan Alebiosu continues his rehabilitation.

Akor Adams did not leave camp on a long-term basis. He only stepped out briefly to see his parents, who are in Fès and live just a few minutes from the team’s hotel. He returned in under an hour, before lunchtime, and remains with the team. Recall that he mentioned his mother was in the hospital during his post-match interview.

As good as Nigeria has been in this AFCON, we must not get carried away. The truth of the matter is we haven't truly been tested yet. Mozambique were a good side because they were well coached. Their individual talent though was always suspect, and many of us already knew how porous their defense was, so conceding that many goals against Nigeria wasn't that much of a surprise, as delightful as it was to see. I shudder to say this, but our run is starting to look eerily similar to PSG's dominant run last year at the FIFA Club World Cup right before they encountered Chelsea in the finals. God forbid that we share similar fate. This AFCON is a must-win for us, as we don't have a World Cup to participate in (I know the DRC case is still under review, but I'd rather err on the side of caution).

Nigeria should prepare for opponents who might employ Chelsea's blueprint against PSG last year - intense pressing to disrupt our rhythm. Expect aggressive man-to-man pressing in our next couple of games. Eric Chelle need plans to play through or around aggressive pressing. Don't rely solely on overwhelming opponents. Majority of the "minnows" in quote, have been knocked out. It's mostly the big dogs now. As the tournament progresses into semifinals and finals, teams will be more evenly matched. While our attack is excellent - and by far the best in this tournament, we need to maintain a compact defense. I'm happy that Bruno and Osayi seem to playing better, but truthfully neither have really been tested. Plus many coaches have seen enough of our games in this AFCON to study our pattern. For instance, you'll notice that Iwobi always falls deep to get an accurate picture of the game, before slotting in those insane low ball crosses into the opponents half. An intelligent coach will find a way to neutralize him. Chelle must be prepared for opponents who study his patterns.

Dominance in earlier rounds means nothing if you can't adapt when a well-prepared opponent disrupts your gameplan. My fear is that Eric Chelle is a proactive coach, but not that good at reacting in-game. I believe he said it himself that he prefers to impose his own style on the players. He knows how to setup a team and deploy personnel to carry out his plans, but when those plans go south, how often has he reacted well? Most of the time, he overthinks and ruins things for himself. I just hope he's learnt his lessons from the World Cup playoffs.

Bia Banky. When 47 become 50?

Anyway, Lookman also hit 20 G+A (11 goals, 9 assists) in 38 NT Caps (30 starts) for Nigeria yesterday.

Just miffed how the media milking the onfield drama has overshadowed the various stats that result gave us yesterday.

BankyGee:
Victor Osimhen for Nigeria 🇳🇬
🎮 49 games
⚽ 34 goals
🅰️ 13 assists

50 G+A in 49 games!

One of the earliest memories I have of football is Maldini dressing Gattuso down on his behavior.

Other examples of the top of my head is Henderson calling Van Dijk to order on a challenge against a Napoli player.

Alana grabbing Arnautovic's mouth for talking trash at the last euros I think.

Friction is part of human interaction. Just don't go overboard with it

It is not the job of the captain to be cautioning anybody during the match. That’s why we have coach. This is not local football.

The only time any player should raise their voice on another player is to call their attention esp during set pieces. There’s absolutely no place for a pro player to be cautioning his fellow teammate on the pitch. That’s amateur nonsense you find in Ibadan or Onitsha street football.

The fact Lookman actually said that as his way of wanting Osimhen to shelf his frustrations is another angle to tackle but I choose not to. All I can say is yes, Lookman should not have said that at all. It was not mature.

Damn... just look at the silence from the Osimhen Crucifiers now. It is damn silly to react quickly and condemn without knowing the whole facts.

There's no coulda woulda here. No player should talk down his teammates like that. No be you born am. Talk to the coach if a simple reminder doesn't work. Besides, Ademola is at least just as important as he is in this team. That was arrogant, intentionally or not. He makes bad decisions himself. Did he not shrug off the captain when he tried to hold him? Unacceptable. I hope they have resolved it internally as someone mentioned. We need the trophy to happy ourselves, following the failure at the world cup qualifiers.
comodo:
Our captain is not outspoken. We wasted so many opportunities because of glory hunting. I can count 2 in series from Osayi. Then Bruno, then Lookman and even Akor. Captain should have cautioned these players. He just kept mute. It the captain had talked perhaps Osimhen wouldn't have bothered. We all almost fried Ejuke for not passing and suddenly we are all mute because Osimhen was very angry with what was happening. Just imagine that we were chasing the game and these players were wasting all those chances. I will not scold Osimhen one bit for the outburst, I'm only mad at him for taking it to the level he took it to. It he had continued his normal game after the outburst, I go even dash him my sister for speaking up.
The I don't care attitude he exhibited afterwards is a no no to me. I have seen Nwabali drag his defenders for shirt like pikin wey steal Akara balls for making some school boy mistakes, but still the game continues.

I sha want the game to be a bloodbath. Red cards and injuries flying about left right and center before the game is decided via penalties.

Not that it has never happened. It is rare and not the right thing. That’s why we have coach and assistant.

Captain is not meant to reprimand his fellow player on da pitch. We have coach and we have dressing room.

"Guaranteed 3 points", just like our WC qualification was guaranteed when we saw the group back in 2023 and wrote off Benin, Lesotho, Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
