Was expecting Burkina Faso to give CIV a fight but this may end up like Nig vs Mozambique

Hmm boss. This statement is strange oh

I was one of the first here to say that Nigeria will beat Tunisia. Tunisia has good teamwork but from their ball control you’ll know that their players are seriously average.

Algeria is a different ball game. Their midfield will clog those Iwobi style passes. To beat them we need to go aerial.
Na you talk this kind thing?

Sevilla no dey disappoint
I don't know but I just feel this Adam is underated. He hardly have bad games since he started playing for the SE. Whenever Osimhen isn't playing, I would suggest we try him as our point man and go to striker. He has the physic, height and he plays technically

So you're proud of going to the World Cup to mark register as a minnow. No wonder you haven't won the AFCON trophy for the last 50 years. Finished dead last in an AFCON qualifying group that had Sudan and Niger Republic. Country of the shameless. cheesy grin grin
Is better than not being able to qualify amongst a group of Benin Lesotho and Zimbabwe when there a nine groups and potentially 10 please bow ur head in shame the giant of Africa 😂😂😂😂

Yes,50years we’ve not won afcon and yet for 50 years our records against u still stands, why haven’t u overtaken us like Cameroon or Egypt if ur truly a giant 😂😂😂😂

At least Ghana has better World Cup record than Nigeria u folks have not even gone past the round of 16 before prove me wrong what a shame and u get the effrontery to compare urself to Ghana hahahahaha

With all the Brahimi, Mahrez and others at their peak, they only won Nigeria in 2019 AFCON final because of our goalkeeper's mistake.
Some person's haven't realised that the way the SE plays, they tend to make good teams seems ordinary.
In fact, the Algeria team of 2019 is much better than this current team of theirs, yet it took a last minute brilliant free kick for them to beat us.. IMO, we could have done better in that game if Rohr had not foolishly benched an in form Aina for Jamilu Collins who just returned from injury (Rohr really didn't treat Aina well by always benching him for players he is better than all because he wants to go defensive)...

I dare say, this current team of ours is even better than the team of 2019 based on how we play...

I'm confident we can beat Algeria come Saturday

There is no debate whatever, this current SE is better than the 2019 team, and Algeria 2019 team is better than this Algeria. This should tell where the pendulum might swing.

We should revert to aerial balls to beat Algeria? Did you see the Zonal Pressing that we employed yesterday? How we utilized spaces? Dual roles played by Lookman and Akor? You say we should use aerial balls .....na wa.

You have to love AFCON🤯🤯!!!

The eight teams in the quarter-finals of the 2023 afcon were:
Nigeria
Angola
DR Congo
Guinea
Mali
Ivory Coast
Cape Verde
South Africa

So far only Nigeria,Mali and probably ivory coast is in the quarterfinals of the immediate 2025 AFCON!!!

2025 AFCON quarterfinalists:

Nigeria
Algeria
Egypt
Senegal
Mali
Morocco
Cameroon
Ivory coast/Burkina Faso

Looks tougher for every team than the last afcon imo

Honestly, a lot of our so called journalists and bloggers are very lazy and only looking for engagements..
Ademola Victor posted a video on his page showing Osimhen in training with the squad... He clarified in the comment section that it is an old video, because today's training session was closed to the media again..
But trust some bloggers, they have already started sharing it with captions of "all is well"... Most aren't even aware of the media lockout in the team camp..

Smh....

PS: I also shared the link to the video not long ago but deleted it immediately after seeing the comment that it's an old video

Una too dey shake shake..best midfield ke?
Talking about their strengths is not shake shake. As we dey analyze them for here that's what they will do for us too in their national forums especially as regards our free scoring ability in this tourney. They are a tough opponent with quality players also so there's nothing bad in admitting that
But I know they can't keep our attack at bay

It's not actually. We finished 2nd in the group to South Africa. You finished last below Niger and Sudan. In what universe is your AFCON qualifying run better? Before you banter, study math and logic before you embarrass yourself like this. grin grin

Yes 50years we’ve not won afcon and yet for 50years our records against u still stands why have u overtaken us like Cameroon or Egypt if ur truly a giant 😂😂😂😂
Bruh you haven't won AFCON since color TV was invented. Please don’t talk to us about football until you find a trophy from this millennium. grin cheesy grin

At least Ghana has better World Cup record than Nigeria u folks have not even gone past the round of 16 before prove me wrong what a shame and u get the effrontery to compare urself to Ghana hahahahaha
What do you mean better World Cup record? We literally have more appearances and more points/wins from the tournament overall. At least before you banter, get the basic facts straight. grin Your quarter final run was your best World Cup tournament. You haven't made it out of the group stage since then.

I didn’t watch the Mozambique game tho. Was busy with something else but of course you will have space cause it’s Mozambique.

Of course I’m not saying we should only be crossing the ball, obviously. However, the Algeria I watched today showed some aerial weakness in the box.

Morocco vs Cameroon
Nigeria vs Algeria
Senegal vs Mali
Egypt vs CIV

omo almost all the african heavy weight in the last 8….compared to last afcon having teams like Capeverde, Angola,SA😂,DRC in the last 8.

with exception of Senegal v Mali, the rest fixtures can pass for an Afcon final

That's what affected Nigeria against them in the world cup playoff. They are lucky they have 4 days to rest.
