I was talking to someone and I said if we remove everyone and bring in new people the system would still be 90% corrupt. Even If you don't want to be corrupt, your family, friends and wife would make you. We just need a brutal system that would shy away from religion and tribe to rest everything.

This Old man must be lair. He should have mention exact locations and time not just date. I am from the North and am not in support of Almajiri system. But I swear this old man was not telling the truth. We know the ppl who went being Almajiri and graduated are the most productive in the society. They made up the largest percentage of the local merchant, farmers and Islamic clerics.

There seems to be some confusion here. In one breath you laud the 'system' and claim it is a true and tested method of producing great men. In another breath you say 'the system isn't bad in itself'. This is a contradiction.

The truth is that the 'system' you speak of is clearly not working. And...you need to stop trying to 'regionalize' a religious matter. There are large parts of Northern Nigeria where the almajiranci system is alien. Benue and Plateau are two clear examples.

The South produces the most educated people in the country I mean western education but they literally produces the most bad and evil ppl in the whole of Africa. The educated are using their knowledge and skills to defraud ppl around the whole giving the country a bad name.
