Good day everyone here. For months now I've been having problems with my 2010 toyota corolla. The car hard starts. If I'm lucky it starts after the first crank in the morning but it takes too long, dragging before it starts. Other times the first crank would be unsuccessful and the second or third one does the trick and sometimes I need to step on the gas pedal for it to pick up. Vehicle has been scanned and brought up some codes about misfire, timing and oxygen sensor. Things I've done based on recommendations: serviced the injectors, changed spark plugs x2, changed fuel pump x3, timing change job done and yes the timing chain wasn't properly set, changed coils. Yesterday was the worst, had to spend the whole day at the mechanic watching them work on the timing. I want to believe these guys are not sure what the problem is, I need help 🤲🏾 |

U are just wasting money alaye. Your engine na stubborn engine. See how mekanic just dey scam u like zombie. The issues lies with fuel pump wiring and fuse. Tell the rewire to check all the fuses and fuel pump wiring. If not u go kill the starter... u owe me 5k for this expo. Been thr with this same car 2 years back, either your fuel pump return hose is not connected r the o rubber inside the casing has blocked fuel flow.. stepping on the gas pedal would flood your cylinders and foul spark plugs with petrol and cause backfires and stalling. Your fuel pump wiring and fuse is the culprit. Its a rewire work and not meko. When una go ever geh sense. dukeo: |

I use 2005 Toyota Corolla I noticed that it could not start because current is not transmitting from ignition to the key starter but the electrician could start it with a construction in the engine side, what is the issues ? |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by kingreign(op): 7:10am On Jan 18 |
Vikalinda:One won't know the issue unless they physically inspect and diagnose it. |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by RyanAutomotive: 9:34am On Jan 18 |
Vikalinda:Good day sir, Thank you for the clear explanation. Vehicle: Toyota Corolla 2005 What you described is a very common starting-system fault on older Toyota models, and it confirms that the engine and starter motor are okay. Let’s explain it properly. ⸻ 🔧 Professional Diagnostic Insight — Toyota Corolla 2005 (No Crank From Key) Symptom Summary: • Car does not start with ignition key • No current reaching the starter from the key • Electrician can start the car by bridging/jumping connections in the engine bay This tells us one thing clearly: ➡️ The fault is between the ignition switch and the starter control circuit, not the engine itself. ⸻ ⚠️ Most Likely Causes (From Experience) 1️⃣ Faulty Ignition Switch (Very Common) • Internal ignition contacts worn out • Key turns, but START signal is not sent • Very common on older Corollas This is the number one cause. ⸻ 2️⃣ Bad Starter Relay • Relay not closing when key is turned • Starter works when jumped manually • Relay may be weak, burnt, or intermittent ⸻ 3️⃣ Neutral Safety Switch / Clutch Switch Issue (Depending on transmission type) • Automatic: Neutral / Park switch not sending signal • Manual: Clutch pedal switch faulty or misaligned The ECU blocks starter signal for safety. ⸻ 4️⃣ Broken or Weak Ignition Wiring • Cut, spliced, or burnt wires under the steering column • Previous electrical work often causes this • Voltage drops before reaching starter ⸻ 5️⃣ Immobilizer / Key Reader Issue (Less Common) • Immobilizer not recognizing key • Starter signal blocked electronically • Usually comes with a dashboard warning light ⸻ 🚫 What It Is NOT • Not battery failure • Not starter motor failure • Not engine problem Jump-starting from the engine bay proves this. ⸻ ⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop — Professional Take Bypassing the system to start the car is not a fix. It increases risk of: • Electrical damage • Fire hazard • Sudden no-start situations The correct repair is to restore the starter control circuit, not bypass it. ⸻ 📌 What We Recommend (Next Steps) Bring the vehicle in for: ✔️ Ignition switch test ✔️ Starter relay inspection ✔️ Neutral / clutch safety switch check ✔️ Wiring continuity and voltage-drop test Once tested, we’ll tell you exactly which component is faulty and fix only that — no guesswork. ⸻ 📍 Distance is never a barrier — customers bring vehicles to Ryan Automotive Limited from different locations for accurate diagnostics and lasting solutions. If you want it fixed once and correctly, you’re welcome to bring the car in. Hello everyone, I have been having some issues with my Lexus rx330 AWD. So if the car is parked for long like over night or for like 8hrs or more, it is difficult getting it to move. Like in the morning if I engage drive the car won't move. I have to raise the engine speed for sometime before it will slowly begin move forward. Though once it moves it behaves normal if I disengage and re-engage the drive. The hesitation is no more. This issues only happens with the drive gear, reverse works fine no matter when I use it. I was suspecting a failing transmission pump but if this were the case the reverse gear will also be affected. The transmission fluid level is okay and it doesn't smell burnt or look dark. I recently did a filter cleaning like 6months ago. I am seriously suspecting one of the solenoid valves that engages the forward gear or a blocked valve body. Any suggestions? |

My Corolla 06 usually delay when the gear is engage only in the morning or when the car is parked for atleast 5 hours. I scanned it and I got P0500, something related VSS fault /speed sensor. Pls who do I call? Rewire or mechanic! I have also watched some YouTube video and I noticed the sensor is attached to the gearbox |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by nurey(m): 11:54am On Jan 18 |
kakameks:You need to scan the transmission. The code will give a diagnosis for repair |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by nurey(m): 11:57am On Jan 18 |
dapotemi:That code has nothing to do with your issues. That code can just cause your speedo and odometer not to read again. The scan that was done only scanned engine related codes. You need a high-end scanner to scan the transmission to pin point issues within it. |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by kingreign(op): 12:53pm On Jan 18 |
kakameks:Your clutch bands and or pressure control solenoid is going out. You may also wish to check your trans filter. |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by kingreign(op): 12:55pm On Jan 18 |
dapotemi:Internal wear on the transmission components may cause this, but change the VSS and trans filter with fluid, If it still continues, and code still exists, plan to change transmission |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by Abbeyismo(m): 3:39pm On Jan 18 |
kakameks:Get a bigger scanner and scan the car for transmission code. Get ready to replace the transmission, don't even think of repairing it tho |

Hi all, I drive a honda civic 2007 and i noticed my car temperature rises when i drive long distance and i had it checked the radiator was washed and cleaned as it should be done to clear any blockage in the passages, now it has reduced and does not over heat but when i get to my destination i check to see the water level in the radiator its almost dried up which means its still leaking somewhere and i do not see water droplets on the ground to confirm leakage and my mechanic checked if the top gasket is bad and he said its very ok. kindly advise on how to go about this please |
