Osimehn shouldn't have reacted like that because the only reason why you would lose a 3 up advantage is poor defence...he should've been clamoring for mass defense and high possession of the ball not more goals especially when few minutes remained

That's what they need to be doing against Algeria....score early, score at least 2 or three, mass defend and possess the game till the last minute
The best form of defence is to attack especially when you have a very potent one no matter how many goals you’re leading, you kill off the game as quick as possible. Do you know many goals Germany used in defeating Brazil in a semi final match in the 2014 World Cup Brazil hosted? 7 clean goals that made the players cry like babies and the president consoling all of them so all these excuses you’re giving for Lookman childish behaviour no enter at all and it’s not a good sign that shows how serious we are.

Your defence is weak if you like score 3 or 4 goals against Algeria until the final whistle is blown you haven’t won the game. And any player saying goals are enough is so silly

Former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye: “You guys should calm down over this Victor Osimhen matter. Allow the boys to focus on the next task ahead. What he said was right, but the way the message was delivered was wrong. I have seen players do more than what he did.

He should have addressed it in the dressing room, not on the pitch. But these things happen in football; it’s normal. He’s not the first player to do this, and he won’t be the last. Up Eagles.”

Osimhen is the only indispensable player in SE.

We beat Benin 4-0 without Lookman (suspended as a result of accumulation of yellow cards).

Chukwueze had 2 assists in that game with only 45mins played.

Osimhen deserves some respect.

Pass the ball to your striker or it is perceived as sabotage.

Lookman shouldn't have interfered.

We've Lookman's replacement on the bench, who grabbed 2 assists against Tanzania, but non on the bench can deputize for Osimhen.

We don't need any form of apology from Osimhen.

Gala in Turkey reveres him, but we belittle his achievements in SE colours.

Till you produce a striker similar or at the same level with VO9, pls always pass the ball.

Chelle can't drop VO9, but will advise his players to always pass the ball to their striker.

Every team relies on their striker for goals.

Immediately Osimhen got injured and was receiving treatment on the sidelines, the Carthage eagles(Tunisia) raised the tempo of the game, attacking the SE left with quick transitions from defence to midfield and then attack.

He possesses that fear factor that stops defenders and midfielders from attacking (defensive cautiousness on the part of the opponent).

Go!Go!!Go!!! Super Eagles.

We don’t deserve the guy, I pray he quickly surpasses the Yekini record and retire from the national team I don’t even care about any yeye trophy anymore. Most of the other players can’t even score when he’s not on the pitch, they need him more on the pitch to even score their own goals and yet he’s the problem. 45 minutes against Congo in the playoffs our entire attack went dead and it’s not like players no Dey o! But we keep deceiving ourselves we can do without him Oya let’s try it and see.

All over the world it’s when you have better options or good enough alternatives that you can easily freeze any player out of the team but if you have no better option you stick with you have, manage it and get your desired result. It’s only in Nigeria you’ll hear trash even when there’s no better solution just deceit upon deceit.

Osimhen is like the Mikel of 2017-2018 SE.The team collapses without him.

If we want to win trophies, we must play to Osimhen's strengths.

I did not see where lookman lashed out or pointed at lookman.

Victor was explaining something to Lookman.(V09 was visibly upset and I could notice that he cloth the tips of his fingers to explain the source of his frustration) go watch again.

It seems I watched a different game.
It is obvious some fans just want to talk down and boo him just as the fans at the stadium did.
You may not like his attitude for demanding for team play, but modifying what did not happen to suit your narrative is uncalled for.
Some of you do worse than what Osimhen is accused of right here on this thread.
Most of you including the media (accidental content creators) crucifying Victor have not taken a moment to analyse what really went on.
Na follow follow ona dey do. Why should the fans boo him. If I were him I would have done same. We lost the match against DR Congo because Lookman failed give a simple pass to V09 in the first half of the game.

Dude has done a lot for the national team and I do not think it is out of place for him to demand for more supplies from his mates to score more goals. Does he not deserve more service to score more? Come on.

Some of you fans behave as if you have never been upset with your family/Church members, workmates or even done worse than he has done. Be perfect when e reach your turn.

Nigerian fans that booed Osimhen where just very ungrateful without understanding what transpired on the field. Osimhen was only explaining his frustration to Lookman.
Oga leave this matter cos the more you guys try to defend his actions, the more silly it looks. BTW the fan so at the stadium booed Osimhen became after the incident he stopped making runs and asked to be changed. If it was a village match or npfl game I bet you Osimhen would have walked out of the pitch. How do guys find a way to twist what we all saw that day.

It's unfortunate, our people are determined to drive a wedge between Osimhen and Lookman.

If those guys are notl large hearted enough to face the task and get it done with, the idiocy and crassness of our people will poison their hearts and destroy this mission.

Many of the people stoking this division online are not even football fans. They just want to destroy.

The full backs will suffer most as Algeria got tricky wingers.. Everyone has to be involved in defense that day..
That's my only area of concern, our game vs Algeria depends on which version of Osayi and Bruno decides to turn up..
Algeria has tricky and skillful wingers who can bait our fullbacks into conceding fouls in dangerous positions, I'm still optimistic we would outscore them at the end of 90 minutes by God's grace

This is bulshit and very unprofessional from Lookman, let him try it against Algeria who can equalise the yeye two goals he was talking about. So it’s now a crime to be hungry for more goals because someone has two. Shebi it’s because it was Mozambique. Osihmen you guys are bashing is the one that’s more mature to know that after what happened against Tunisia it’s the wisest thing to pump in as more goals as possible. This gentle nature of Lookman that’s deceiving all of you, I will be here to mock all those that will complain again by the time the same Lookman starts playing like the way he was doing during the wcq and some were already saying he should be benched. You folks forget the past easily. Make una continue
Oga Goke, things don die down nau, well check this out,not Osimhen vs Lookman oh but check Lookman stats especially creation of chances cuz to you he is very selfish

Player like Osimhen,Lookman,Bassey and the rest deserves Afcon trophy and World Cup so that there would be no excuses not to rate them, especially Osimhen, beating Yekini record is cool but not everlasting, winning AFCON and participate in world cup would add to their profiles

I hear Ryan Alebiosu has recovered and has resumed training with the rest of the squad. If it's true, then we need him on standby tomorrow. Osayi-Samuel was impressive against Mozambique but just in case he decides to revert to factory setting on Saturday, Ryan needs to step in ASAP.

Osimhen is likelier to go the next WC in 2030 than Iwobi. Lookman too.

Iwobi is older than both APOTYs. He is the brain of our midfield. He has been carrying the creative weight since Mikel left the scene in 2019 but hardly got the chance to thrive to his best form in a major tournament from a creative POV. He is getting that now and it will be quite the poetic climax for him at Afcon 2025 as redemption for all those years of toiling, being underutilised and being misprofiled by our past coaches.

Iwobi, Osimhen, Lookman, Ndidi, Bassey, Nwabali form the Spine of this team. They and the other lads deserve this title as compensation for the WC miss but in Iwobi, we have a story that runs deeper coz he came into the Super Eagles 2 yrs after our last Afcon triumph. Ndidi was the only other lad who debuted same day as Iwobi.

Kog45:

Akinsanmiro is yet to be get minutes at the AFCON but I am glad he is part of the setup.

Glad all the noise about Salim Fago and Musa Muhammed has simmered.

Algeria trolled the SE after that Mahrez free kick during AFCON 2019. Patiently waiting to see how this goes this time around.
