FiveFootNinja:Top Notch against weaker opposition. Quite exposed against DR Congo whose Coach entered the game with a defensive 5-3-2 mentality though partially good but was his albatross. Nigeria will edge out Algeria by a goal margin whether it will enter the extra time is what I am not sure of but eventually Nigeria to the Semi finals. This is a game where Onyedika should start alongside Iwobi, Onyeka and Ndidi with either Lookman ADEMOLA or Victor Osimhen starting from the Bench. Akor Adams should be sure to start. My main fear= I pray NWABALI and SEMI AJAYI do not do anything outrageous in the game. Choking the midfield with Iwobi playing ahead of 2 strikers is key to breaching the Algerian Defence. Mahrez is not to be feared but cancelling out Benselbaini(I hope I spelt his name correctly) and the sleeky Hicham Boudaoui all through will be a necessary antidote. |

zicky:That’s a banter gone too far, that Congolese deserve better respect than that. The best way as an opponent who has won Congo is to even go over to the fellow and take pics with him in the spirit of sportsmanship. |

EEGA:You guys should stop this rubbish, which is the only indispensable player is Osimhen. We can do without any player, yes I said it. Osimhen, Iwobi, Lookman are very important to this team but we can do without them if any decided to go against the unity and success of the team. |

BREAKING!!! Trouble in Morocco? Distraction? The Super Eagles players have said they won't travel to Marrakech for the Algeria game unless the NFF offsets all outstanding winning bonuses at the AFCON. Credit: @oluwashina. |

Goke7:It was a distasteful celebration to be honest. It would have made sense if they did the Congo fimbu celebration dance to troll the Congolese. That Lumumba mockery was out of order given the context. |

Mujtahida:i find the Osimhen fanboys more guilty of this. First they accuse Lookman not passing to Osimhen as the reason for his outburst. When few found out Lookman not passing wasn't the cos, they move to why will Lookman tell him he has scored two goals. Anything to rope Lookman in and absolve Osimhen of his actions. |

Midfield domination is absolutely crucial to stopping the Algerians who know how to pressure defenses. I sadly don't see how we won't concede (will be pleasantly surprised if we keep a clean sheet) but if our attack plays like how they have been doing for other matches we will definitely breach the Algerian defense. They haven't yet dealt with pace like that of Osimhen and Lookman. Cocony: |

TheSuperNerd:with the way Iwobi is playing for Nigeria now, I see him staying longer in the national team. Taking the role of a Toni kroos, no much running, just covering space but still the epicentre of our attack. |

Goke7:In fact, some comments I saw online from South Africans want him sacked and replaced with one of their local champion coach.. In their defense, he f*** up by calling up players from other teams (especially Pirates) and not Sundowns... You know there's a problem when a national team is over reliant on players from one club...their squad at the last AFCON had almost 60% of players from Sundowns alone and like 8 of their starting XI too .. |

He is already in his Toni Kroos mode. He unlocked this fully last season especially at Fulham. He will be 30 by May. I reckon he still has 3 quality yrs (till 2029) MAX to give the Super Eagles but he could make 2030 his true swansong. zicky: |
