ChrisKels:No be by post, Lookman go do nonsense finish, come use posts and calmness dey blur una eyes. Na by posts? I like Lookman, but make una dey use head sometimes, person go make another person vex, come dey do calm calm after the whole thing come make the other person look like villain. Osimhen should retire after this tournament, whether we win or not, whether he breaks Yekini's record or not. The both are useless to me at this point abeg. Everywhere go good. |

Nigeria and self-sabotage. If it's not unpaid bonuses, it's on-pitch drama. |

if this matter lingers and the arguement is endless…the one who approaches matter with violence/anger will always be at the receiving end of backlash…no matter what, fight, aggression, anger will never be supported and greeted with smile..…it will take one to calm down and analyze why you dey fight before we can reason with your point of fighting….the first violent or aggressive scenario/impression of you will already start to piss many people off…its takes only the die-hard lovers to remain on the side of a violent/aggressive party….. im always pissed off when i see people make move like as though they wanna hit or beat a person with their gesture…i will be like “wetin dey worry this one wey dey vibrate gi gi gi gi gi….oga fara buruku bale joor, ko le to bayi(calm your gri gri body down, e never reach like this) na why i so hate all this aggressive Lagos agbero…ao so uncivilized set of people |

Kog45:Gala deserve him more o, they paid huge money for him and pay him massive wages and still respect him. Nigerian fans treat him with mad contempt when he's the catalyst and stabilizer of the team. I need him to retire after this AFCON on God. 25 years them no go see striker like Osimhen again. I can swear that if Lookman was on two goals and Osimhen won a penalty, he'd give the ball to Lookman to complete his hat-trick, not say "you're already on two goals". Even those statistics you even posted, Osimhen, a centre-forward, has 12 chances created and you don't feel he's actually intentional about teamwork? |

akwesenana:Because he's real. You think say he get time to dey do those ones, he don talk him mind for pitch, if them like make them pass, if them like make them no pass. By 11pm after Algeria match, we might need a new change to the thread name again. Mtchewww. |

Ahmed Mido, as at Afcon 2006 was the star boy of Egyptian team…coach sub him, he started acting aggressively at the coach, na once Hassan Shehatta sent him away from camp, Egypt went ahead and won that tournament…..nobody have the right to charge and act aggressively on the pitch of play…it is unethical and unprofessional…..someone posted so many case scenario of team mates charging at each other aggressively on the pitch in a bid to justify that its not only Osimhen that has done such…..in those video i saw ref issuing out red card to team mates for fighting themselves…lets say Lookman charged back at Osimhen e sure me say Osimhen will further aggravate that scene and surely ref will send them off the pitch…so what is the point |

minfelix:I was gonna forgive him for everything but you see that stewpid part where he stopped joining the attack with others, playing or making runs to help the team until he was subbed off, I will never forgive him for being that stewpid. Real men take out their anger and frustration on opps, not on their squad. |

ChrisKels:When he couldn't stand it that someone stood up to him and asked him to calm down by reminding him casually that he had scored twice. His ego was hurt and he asked to be substituted. It was a culmination of three different run of plays where he didn't receive the ball that led him to yell at Bruno. Ademola didn't release the ball to him at one point which was similar to positions that ademola likes to shoot from, the next was Bright not passing to him even when it looked like Bright was in a better position to shoot. The third that hurt him the most was Bruno's own. When you watch the replay ademola also waved at Bruno for a pass and the pass didn't come too. But the king took it to heart and poured out his emotions. The only person who had the guts to look at him squarely and asked him to calm down was Lookman. He was hurt by the audacity, immediately he will turn back again to meet lookman and tell him football is a team game , that is to remind him of the moment lookman failed to pass as well , and in lookman quick self defense he made him realize he has scored two. Let the others play . We are in control. He was hurt because the rightful person to say those words to him put it to him. His heart couldn't swallow it, he will signal to the bench and asked to be substituted. While we had two more attacking plays, he failed to join in the play . Then comes the end of the game , he will walk straight to the tunnel, leaving the team , this is the MAN (not boy)talking about team play. His emotions will get the better of him that he would leave the team behind and go to the bus. While the other guy who could be hurt will muster courage and speak no ills about him. Giving him praises and kudos like he loves. Posting him on social media to show oneness and unity. But what he failed to understand was the gravity of his action and how Nigerians will take it, he saw that we didn't take it lightly with him. We didn't appreciate how he shouted at lookman. He equally realized how much loved lookman is without forcing it. He realized lookman' soft power over his. |

No need for this @emboldened Osimhen wont walk out on living his Super Eagles dream because of one night of misunderstanding. I dont care if others dont see it or have lost sight of it. But ever since 2015, it was clear a true Super Star was born to us in the beautiful game. One who would go on to make the Super Eagles a feared name again. One who would bring so much fire, power, glory and pride to the Number 9 Jersey again. Osimhen is the Pride of Nigerian football even with all the misunderstandings. Nothing can erase this truth... and I am sure he understands that his desire and love for the Super Eagles Colors is bigger than any misunderstanding. So please, dont sound like this because of folks in here who are painting Osimhen as a Villain. Just ignore and dont argue much again. The Truth is like a Lion. It will always defend itself. This is something Osimhen and Truth have in common. BankyGee: |

Goke7:Lookman was out of form . Same way Osimhen was at the last AFCON in ivory coast where he scored 1 goal. As a Nigerian striker in AFCON you should be scoring 4 to 5 goals in the tournament. Ighalo did it in 2019. But when you want to talk you'd say work rate. As if work rate is the primary obligation of a striker. Then you'd make room for excuses on his blunders and misses, as well as his offside awareness. Nobody is perfect including king Osimhen |

minfelix:You are hitting your head against your own imagination. A thing can happen where a man is reprimanded. However beyond a certain point, it starts looking like malicious attack. You beat a child with your right hand, you draw him close with your left hand. Osimhen is our golden egg. Whether you guys like it or not. He's human. He erred. Not out of a selfish desire for self aggrandizement but due to his desire to win. I saw many ungrateful, entitled Nigerians saying that what has he done sef. Gosshhhh I detest black people. That's why this race is one of the most backwardest race in the world. Stupid, ungrateful race. It never appreciates anything and that is why it never progresses because ingratitude is a stumbling block and the most ungrateful race is the black race. Osimhen fa? Someone that was almost ready to die for us to qualify for the world cup. Look at that goal against Benin when he dipped his head right in front of the boot of the Beninoise defender. Do you know how many screws that young man has in his face? Yet today, just because of an on-field outburst, Nigerians say he's done nothing. See them, people who are being raped by politicians daily and they offer no single resistance forming self righteous prudes condemning another man who is striving to bring honor to the country. What he did is bad. Our condemnation must be measured and marked by grace rather than this rashness I see you spewing. |
