A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her shock at what she witnessed during a visit to Rwanda. In the viral video, she captured well-equipped workers actively scrubbing and washing a tarred road with water and detergent, leaving the surface covered in foams.

Adding to the surprise, a special truck can be seen dripping soap onto the road while the workers trail behind, scrubbing and cleaning meticulously.

Clearly amazed, the lady questioned whether washing roads this thoroughly is a normal routine in the country. The clip has since drawn attention, with many viewers praising Rwanda’s high level of cleanliness and discipline, while others expressed disbelief at the sight.

The video has continued to generate conversations online.
Watch the video and share your thoughts.

Pointless. Sweeping the road is more than enough.

That’s crazy. 😂 It reminds me of that story about the king who wanted to cover all the village roads in leather just so he could walk comfortably. He only stopped when someone finally told him it’d be a lot easier to just make himself a pair of shoes.

Finally a country that understands basic infrastructure maintenance. Maybe if we spent less time being shocked and more time not living like feral raccoons we’d have clean roads too. But no let’s just keep marveling at competence like it’s magic.

Developed countries actually wash their major city streets with disinfectants daily

It reduces smells, infections and improves esthetics

Lagos and other Naija cities need to learn and do this

Rwanda is the cleanest city in Africa. Been there a while ago. So clean you can't see public dirt anywhere. The air is extremely fresh and clean too.

When people clamor for a cleaner Lagos, Wahab and Bayo will start convulsing. I've been to the east and the south south, and I'll choose staying there over Lagos. A dirty, smelly city.

Uyo is the only city that comes close in terms of road infrastructure and sanity. Akpabio tried in that aspect, until he went to the senate and undid all his goodwill because of his f00lishness. Oh, I heard he has a pending EFCC case too. Oh dear.

If there was an oil spill that could endanger passing vehicles, then washing the area with soap would be a good measure to take.

You're right, bro.
Nigerians have the lowest sense of civic responsibility that I know of in the world; second only to barbarians and some war-torn countries

She's shocked because she's from a dirty country.

A citizen from a sane clime won't make a video after seeing this.
Re: Nigerian Lady Shocked By How Rwanda Cleans Roads (Photos/Video) by asfrank(m): 9:33am On Jan 08
Don't look too far, turn around you should find someone throwing waste bin beside the road. Is that Government? Setting up businesses along the roadside, when when they are chased away, government is evil.

We like how organized other countries are, but we fail to understand is that the citizens are the ones holding everything together.

An average Nigerian is corrupt, all he needs is the opportunity. If he complains, then it's because he or she is not in position to loot.

We are just too stubborn in this country,

Every country have there priority per time. That may be there priority but for us here in Nigeria, that isn't our priority so no basis for comparison or avenue for clowns to start insulting there country as they use to.

What's their population? Would you agree to stop traffic so that it can be cleaned? Common one-way rule we don't obey.

There's no one-way to fixing things. What works in one country might not work in another country and that's one of our problem trying to import processes that aren't applicable to our situation looking at others and feelings hopeless about your country.

Surely if you look well with open mind there are things Nigeria is doing better than Rwanda. Check well and don't just dismiss Nigeria grin
