How Tinubu And APC Used And Dumped Nyesom Wike by EponObi(op): 8:43am On Jan 08
Over the last few days, I've been seeing people say Tinubu and APC used and dumped Wike.

That's not the case.

Yeah, the title should have read "How Tinubu and Wike Didn't Use and Dump Wike". Lol

After the 2023 elections, the presidency and the APC compensated and respected Wike for supporting them in Rivers state. For helping them secure Rivers votes, he was given a very top ministerial appointment as minister of FCT - you can say he was made governor of the FCT. With yearly budgets running into trillions of naira, precisely ₦1.81 trillion in 2025 alone, Wike was given control over a massive resource to drive development in the FCT as he pleased - unchecked, without barrier or red tape.

What more did he want? What honor and respect for his capacity as "Mr.Project" is greater than that? He was in PDP and given a position that should have gone to a member of APC.

Is that what you count as used and dumped?

It was Wike who turned the respect to disrespect.

His problem is he doesn't know how to pick his battles. He's like a driver pressing the gas without removing his leg under any circumstance; no brake, just gas full-on. Eventually, he will crash his car.

Wike fights everyone who doesn't do what he wants. It is his interest only and at all time.

In his stupidity, he thinks he can fight the president and the party holding the federal power. He keeps crossing boundaries and thinks everyone is as weak as Atiku and the PDP.

The Yorubas have a name for people like him. They call them "alaseju baba asete"

Google AI: Alaseju is a Yoruba term describing someone who overdoes things, goes to extremes, or takes undue advantage.

APC is an institutional political party. It's a behemoth, highly structured and organized. Wike is insane to think he can poke nose into their affairs or fight them.

When Fubara joined the APC, the equation changed. It changed because a variable called party protection changed. The weak protection Fubara received in PDP (which was under Wike's thumb) flipped to a strong party protection under APC, which is far from from the control or reach of Wike. That was the game changer in the war between the duo.

It's myopic to think APC will leave Fubara - a governor in their party - to be decimated by a Wike. On the scale, to APC, Fubara has more weight than Wike who isn't even a member of their party.

This saga between APC and Wike only makes APC more attractive. Those PDP governors and members who defected to APC will be happy they made the right choice because with APC, it's an entirely different experience compared to the PDP where a national party allowed a single person to control it with his personal interest without regard for other members.

This is also an evidence of the leadership qualities of Tinubu and Atiku.

A massive APC with 28 governors out of 36 but Tinubu is putting his foot on the ground against Wike to protect one of his own. Unlike Atiku whose PDP was way smaller and he couldn't clip the wings of Wike and keep the party under control.

Also, everyone can see how APC is protecting and supporting Fubara in an "all for one and one for all" style. PDP couldn't do this for him when his fight with Wike started and during the state of emergency declared by Tinubu. In fact, those governors having cold feet defecting to the APC now have more morale and reason to push through.

Agbadorians sef! Is appointing Wike as FCT Minister a compensation or a call to service? Little wonder most of you turned a blind eye to all the scandals while some of you even justified it. You all saw it as compensation for helping to rig Tinubu in. Well, the problem now is that Tinubu must keep to the agreement that he signed in black and white on Fubara. Going behind Wike's back to accept Fubara into the APC is already a betrayal but I'm sure Wike can still forgive if Tinubu does the needful before it's too late. Advise no be curse and e no get shame like crazeman.

Wike will soon tell Nigerians the agreement he had with tinubu in 2023 elections that made him rigged massively for tinubu in Rivers State and even spilled the blood of rivers state sons and daughters in the process .

It's just a matter of small time

The battle line has been drawn in the sand. Tinubu would have to choose between placating Wike while abandoning Sim Fubara and angering the APC governors, who'd consider such an action as a slap on their face. Very soon subtle threats will begin to rend our air waves.

Story. Wike must t destroy that party too . APC is a scam on Nigeria.

If the only 2 options available are between Wike and the snake-like Fubara, any sensible person will choose Wike over him. Fubara will have denied you 5 times before the cock crows. Wike has always been brash so one can tell at each time where he stands but that Fubara guy will be tickling and licking your arse just to get what he wants. As soon as he gets it, he does not even use sense to wait a while before baring his fangs.

People like that are kept at arm's length.

Having said that, Wike should try and calm down if he hears.

People say Tinubu and APC used Wike and dumped him. In my opinion, it is Wike that used APC and Tinubu to his advantage and he is still using them. Few weeks before the general election, Wike knew that APC will win at all cost, for him to remain relevant in politics, he entered into an alliance with them and result?, he got FCT ministerial position. Remove Wike from that position today, and you will never hear his voice again. WIKE is the major beneficiary of that Alliance and not the other way round.

Wikes abrasive politics brings more harm than good. Does Tinubu need someone who's courting enemies wherever he goes?
Re: How Tinubu And APC Used And Dumped Nyesom Wike by 9jatriot(m): 11:34am On Jan 08
Is it a new knowledge of the kind of person Wike is? But Fubara is the one with one attitude when he is begging and another attitude when he has gotten.

These are the kinds of people that will wash your car, wash your wife's underwears when asking for a loan or favors but woe betide you when you grant their request. If it is loans they will start asking you "How much is it sef that you will not let him rest"

Check the list of enemies Wike now has, most of them are because of this same Fubara.

You don't think Wike wasn't suffocating Fubara immediately he was sworn in as governor? There's no gov who won't revolt in that case. Don't you also consider it such an acute case of judgement if Wike hadn't carried out his due diligence on Fubara to identify the chameleon in him when they truly went back a long time before shortlisting and anointing him as his successor? It only exposes Wike as a poor character judge and someone that can be easily deceived. That flaw he makes up with his ascerbic and brutish behaviour. Remember how Tambuwal played a fast one on him in 2022, as well as Atiku snatching the PDP ticket from his grasp in PH in 2018, even when he bulldozed his way into moving the convention to PH after he'd bluffed the ticket was for Tambuwal.
Now, he's gone as far as drawing the line with the APC. Presently, the APC hierarchs would be telling themselves, This is exactly how he destroyed the PDP, we can't allow him do that.

Was Fubara suffocated? I’m not sure. I don’t have an issue with their disagreement, but I do take issue with his treachery. If we’re talking about real suffocation, we should look at what Ngige endured. He stood his ground without resorting to drama—unlike Fubara, who seems to thrive on rhetoric. Ngige responded by commissioning project after project, while Fubara prefers empty words.
Is Wike a poor judge of character? Maybe, maybe not. But people do change. For example, Sani left El-Rufai without any drama. The Kano governor is about to part ways with Kwankwaso—how often have you heard him making inflammatory remarks on air? Even as he prepares to leave his long-time benefactor, he remains respectful and avoids dominating the airwaves with war songs.
Tambuwal also has a history of betrayals—these are life lessons people learn. Some claim Osinbajo betrayed Tinubu, but have you ever heard either of them publicly accuse the other? That’s the tact Fubara lacks. If he had always been a "warrior," that would be one thing. But look at how submissive he was during the state of emergency, only to revert to his old ways once back in power. Why didn’t he show his true colors during the SOE so we’d know who he really is?
Personally, I just don’t trust snake-like individuals.

I think in this case, Wike is the one making so much noise, and at times, Fubara has to react. No godfather would go as far as Wike is going. Jalloping from one LGA to the other, using that pretext to publicly lampoon a sitting governor? Whatever moves Fubara makes now are for survival. I may not like his docile nature, but he knows better. Wike isn't the first godfather to be betrayed and won't be last. What makes him think the next stooge won't betray him?
Re: How Tinubu And APC Used And Dumped Nyesom Wike by Dogalmighty17: 1:08pm On Jan 08
All it takes is a presidential statement saying Wike has been relieved of his duties as FCT minister and all this his noise will end
Re: How Tinubu And APC Used And Dumped Nyesom Wike by 9jatriot(m): 1:09pm On Jan 08
It looks like we will have to disagree here. I started hearing of Fubara's antics before that of Wike, except you want to say I was not following events after their so-called reconciliation.

Secondly, the docile nature is a front for a more sinister personality.

Anyway I enjoyed engaging with you, no insults, just presentation of points. I congratulate you for that. Those 2 folks do not feed me, so non vex I am not likely to comment further on the topic.
