I think it's time to search for new wingers cuz Simon is off and Ejuke I no understand his game
Yes we need wingers. Our traditional game is reliance on the wings. Chelle has tweaked it with his diamond formation. In this formation, we don't need the wingers per se. The two attackers flanking the point man run the channels and act as wingers. And then the full backs are also expected to float in crosses.

That's why Osayi and Bruno are just not it because they don't play that function. Once we get full backs who can float in crosses ehn, e don be.

I said it that the new team is forming before our eyes. Add Alebiosu, Felix Agu.

If we get that Arthur, goalkeeping don set. That Lucas Zidane is in Div 2 in Spain oo.

There's that Honest Ahanor. If we can get him, the LB go gell.
Alebiosu and agu are too injury prone

They aren't reliable

Since the first edition in 1957 till date, NO NIGERIAN PLAYER HAS EVER SCORED A HATTRICK AT THE AFCON.
But we have had 2 hattricks bagged against us. It happened in one game only. 2 Egyptians scored 3 each in a 6-3 win at the 1963 Afcon.

Egypt have had 6 hattrick scorers at the Afcon. CIV have had 3. Cameroun, 2. Zambia, 2. Even South Africa has 1 (Benni McCarthy with 4 goals vs Namibia in 1998).

Funny how this stat slaps.
Sincerely Osimhen would have had it against Mozambique, Osimhen and Lookman should be blamed for that drama but anything can still happen as we progresses

If CIV bags Ange-Yoan Bonny of Inter Milan, then my goodness, that absolutely elevates their attack. Damn! Such quality!
Like I always tell Pato and Biafraproudly on X, we are not attractive one bit. Just imagine George Ilenikhena using us to play games. Ilenikhena isn't even half as good as Bonny. Bonny has a clearer chance of repping France than Ilenikhena does, yet he has abandoned France for CIV, but George doesn't see us worthy to have him.

See the other Imo State boy at Burnley, if that boy was of Senegalese descent, he would have long left France for Senegal, but look at how the boy dey whine us even though his uncle, Apam was a former super eagle.

Take your eyes off any quality or even sub-quality player born in Italy, especially if he is an offspring of immigrants who went to Italy illegally. Those are big assets for their parents to somehow get permanent residency after being capped by Italy.

Ahanor, Ekhator and co are not options for Nigeria. Their parents won't even dare let them reason Nigeria.

Bruno and Osayi are destined to suffer on Saturday. Mahrez and Amoura guys are tricky.. Onyeka and iwobi must assist them

I have no single fears about Algeria as long as we maintain our gameplay.

My only problem is Nwabali, that guy is subtly becoming another Uzoho, bros no dey fit catch ball again.

I have seen lookman and even Victor helping out with defensive duties too. If the players all defend and attack together, we should be good. Also, if Chelle notices a drop in intensity, hopefully timely and right subs would be made. There's also good quality on the bench almost all round.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 3:02pm On Jan 09
I'm doubtful if Iwobi is going to get enough space to give those passes like he did against Mozambique. Mahrez will be on his case. It's true that Iwobi sits too deep to mark but Mahrez has nothing to offer defensively. He has all the time in the world to shadow Iwobi. And we know how bad it can get when Iwobi loses the ball. We need to sharpen other outlets of creativity so that just in case Iwobi is locked up we won't be out of ideas.

This is what I've been saying

If they put 2 or 3 players on iwobi, how would we respond?

Their pressing will be centered on him

Furo Oyenemi’s son joins epl club Brentford

🔴⚪️ Kaye Furo from Club Brugge to Brentford, here we go! Deal done for 2007 born striker for €10m plus add-ons and sell-on clause.

Furo’s set to undergo his medical, as HLN Sport has reported. The deal is done.

And how sure are you that their parents are among those that migrated to Italy illegally?

Not saying that I expect the players to turn out for us but since they are yet to be capped by the Italian senior national team team they remain an option

This current NFF are slow when it comes to luring foreign born players for the national team. If Chelle will retain his job after the Afcon I will advise he beam his searchlight more in the lower leagues in England especially the 2nd tier. We have a few young talented Nigerian eligible players doing decently well in the championship

Iwobi who plays from deep will have three Algerian players on him? Leaving alot of space behind, when there's an Adam's, lookman and osihmen who's willing to take advantage of those spaces?
Okay na😂

Yes perfect answer for saying is team work then what produced the two goals na individual work abi...at 63 minutes with good 30 minutes remaining Osimhen would have added to his two goals, well perfect lesson for the team...Lookman IG with Luku, Osimhen and Bruno picture with caption "we're together" telling us something good is going to happen tomorrow, possibly Osimhen hat trick Oga Goke.

I hope to see Ivory Coast vs Nigeria final

Pass the ball even if you’re clear on goal to the player with the best angle to score
Is this too much to ask
If we don’t play as a team Algeria will bid us fare well
South Africa paid the price for wasting too many chances
Algeria play like Europeans
