Yes they surely did. I agree. Cameroun messed up in their setpiece defending and they have struggled to string passes that progress into the Moroccan half to threaten their goal.

The Camerounians look disjointed tactically and dont seem to have a way of evading the moroccan press and building up vertically in a comfortable manner.
It is their fine individual quality that has seen them this far.
CIV faced them in the group stage too and could not beat them partly because CIV also dont have the experience in the final third to lethally punish a team of Cameroon's pedigree.
The current CIV have really fine and dangerous quality but not much experience especially as you go up the pitch.

Tanzania did better than this abeg.

Last AFCON one of the standout of the competition was the refereeing. The decision to cancel osimhen's goal to award SA a penalty for a foul in the buildup in the semis was well acknowledged even from outside the continent. Morocco have been aided by referee bias in every match even against Tanzania
even with the referee bias this Cameroon team is horrible 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think the Moroccans and the Algerians are not in good faith so they will prefer to play the Eagles. There is a diplomatic row between the two countries.
The Morocco and Algeria row is more political......
The main reason why morocco might prefer us to Algeria is because like Goke7 pointed out, Algeria can be a banana peel for them...they can match they antic well well...

Cameroun shouldn't bother coming out for 2nd half. Their midfield DOA. No confident play, No awareness, Losing ball after 2 pass.
Expect 2 more goals.

Should Morocco win tonight and we somehow edge Algeria, do we have a chance of beating Morocco since our players are notorious fowlers

The Moroccans too have been using physicality in the midfield to disrupt their play too so it’s still a matter of quality and experience

Pairing Experienced Anguissa with Baleba would hv worked well for them in midfield

These Mahgreb guys are sore losers. Their FA do everything possible to put match officials under pressure like they did at the WAFCON finals this year. The level of officiating at this AFCON is clearly below par especially when these guys play.

not physicality but high pressing. What Cameroon needs is just an experienced cool head like anguissa who is press resistant to destabilise the Moroccans

💯 True. Anguissa would have controlled that midfield properly. There are players and there are TOURNAMENT PLAYERS.

Avom and Namaso are not especially midfield masters while Baleba has been marked ehn! Morocco no dey give am space on the ball and it's not like Baleba is even creative. They mark him because he is the central ball receiver and distributor in Cameroon's midfield wheel. But remember, he is a CDM.

Avom also struggled in that first half. Namaso looks lost.

End of first half. Morocco 1 Cameroon 0.

Brahim Diaz na bandit. Hin steal that goal.

Morocco played rush them football in the first half which unsettled Cameroon. Unfortunately, Cameroon was not able to weather the storm and conceded.

Cameroon is looked like a poor team because Morocco made them look bad.

Referee has been atrocious. This is the most blatantly biased officiating I've seen in this AFCON.

I hope Cameroon equalizes in the second half but I do not see a route back into the game for them.

Rather, they'd throw caution to the wind and Morocco will hit them on the counter and increase their lead.

Looking forward to the second half.

It seems they just came to ride their luck instead of taking the game to the Moroccans but bias decisions will still affect the team it's going against

I don't just like how they are cheating. Disgraceful officiating.

On point. Would have coped a whole lot better than this eyesore I watched in the first 45. Anguissa, Baleba and Avom offers than this midfield 3 that has Namaso.
