My only fear is, we don't know how the team will react if it concede first.

The team hasn't dealt with such situations aside the South African away game.

On twitter, the Algerians are debating our most dangerous players.

Some said Iwobi and Lookman need to be taken out, which we all know they would try to do

But when someone mentioned Ndidi and Onyeka, I became scared. It shows these guys know a lot about our team.

Shockingly, nobody mentioned Osimhen and Akor. lol!
Underestimating Osi and Akor will be their greatest undoing.

However, if they take out Iwobi, Lookman, Ndidi, and Onyeka by pressing them consistently when they have the ball, Osi and Akor might become frustrated up top.

Today is going to be a long day.
Unlike our previous opponents, Algeria has the quality wingers to harm us. Just like we have the attack to hurt them.

Osimhen must find his scoring boot today. No miss chances, no offside crap.
Every single opportunity must be put away if we are going to win today.

For God and Country! God bless the Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria!
I disagree with the BOLDED

I only have one thing to ask of the Algerians.... coz the inevitability of a Super Eagles triumph today looms large.

Now the question is... the beating we dish out today...

No. It is not an intentional act. Choosing not to pass to a player in space is intentional.
Choosing not to pass to a player in space is not necessary intentional nor is it sabotage. The player might be camped in offside, or the player with the ball feels there's a better chance of him scoring than the player he intends to pass to. Nuance is very important in such situations. All being said, sabotage is a very strong word.

Good for his confidence
We will revisit his matter after the AFCON

Yeah I know
Though I see no reason to change a winning team
Especially after the emphatic win over Mozambique

This is why i want Iwobi and Akor to gather chemistry in this particular game. The North Africans are good at this marking out star/key players with lots of fouls that refs overlook. Can't forget 2006 and 2008 Afcon.

For this game, Chukwueze or Ejuke starting will be very helpful.

They fit even leave Osimhen and Lookman and focus on Iwobi as he is the main reason our threat is this high

Question is: Can we be more offensive than the Moroccans you saw yesterday?
going by past games played, we saw how a 10 man Mali pressure them till they got their 1-1…if Mali can do that to them, Then Nigeria should do better

Sentiment aside, if we somehow come out victorious against Algeria; am not sure we have a chance against Morocco. Those boys play Europe standard soccer. They have a very balanced Defense and Midfield. Their attack may not be as potent as ours. But you see their Defense, they're too pacy! Watch how they closed down Mbuemo in many occasions. Moroccans are very fast. I think it's the only advantage they would have against the Super Eagles. Our backline aren't pacy. Our defensive Midfielder (Ndidi, Onyedika) are both slow.

If we can match them pace for pace, spirit for spirit; then we may have a chance even with biased officiating and crowd influence.

For now, let's cancel Algeria first. I'm only wary of their Midfield and that their number 11 weh deh run like Benz.
You don't know what you're saying. I blame the terrible Cameroonian tean for making them look "European". I dont think it was hard to see that Cameroon couldn't string 3 passes together.

The same Morocco that needed the help of the referee to avoid a 1-1 draw with Tanzania.

Things Nigeria Should Do To Beat Algeria

1. Avoid fouls in dangerous areas (no penalty, no edge-of-box freekick)

2. Full backs should do more defending than attacking. Their wingers are threats.

3. Never concede first

4. Never allow them force you to penalty kicks

5. Anticipate a neutralization of Lookman and/or Osimhen and have goalscoring jokers from unusual quarters - Iwobi? Ndidi? Onyeka? Chukwueze
At your fifth point, I don't see how they're going to neutralize all three of them. It can't happen

I want to say Algeria will strategize based on how we approached the Tunisia and Mozambique games, because that has become our playing identity in this tournament. It will boil down to how Chelle is able to use substitutions to switch up play if/when necessary. Our full backs have to be on their A game from the blast of the whistle. the Desert Warriors will try to exploit those channels.

Charles should be ashamed of what comes out of his mouth most of the time. He's one of the people that lives Nigeria the way it is and expect that since people suffered and succeeded then, the current ones should also suffer to succeed. Must it come close home before he changes such a mindset?

It's 4-3-3. But are playing Maza (a midfielder at Leverkusen) upfront.
