I fear we'd meet Egypt in the final and they'd take the cup. The winner of this match is the one we meet in the final. This I have seen
I predicted we will meet Egypt in the Final. We will win them

Emmy, you insult the actual inhouse analysts here by saying this. No true analyst of this thread would make such comment. Everyone that did say that nonsense is just a "reactionary" mouth breather. And I know some of the folks that uttered that rubbish. Disgusting stance it was.

So abeg, no call them analysts. Noisemakers seems better.

Emmy450:
no mind our in house analysts 🤣

I warned about Egypt's experience but Odilon Kossounou slipping up to allow Marmoush get through is downright not the kind of flunk you should make at this level and so early in the game for Goodness sake.
The thing pain me

I'm rooting for CIV sha

Na one idiot wey be our neighbour wey say Mbeumo is World class and Osimhen is not😊😁😁😁😆😆! You have been justified Osimhen. Cap it up with a 5star performance against Morocco and 2 goals in the semis and guess what you are likely gonna do a double: MVP and Highest goal scorer most likely.
i watch Mbeumo in this Afcon, I see him as a little above average player. I'll take Lookman over him 100x

Ivory Coast can't get a shot. Egypt defenders are blocking everything.

Akor Adams

What makes this guy special is his cool headedness

Nothing fancy

I know many strikers (even playing for big teams) that'll miss that second goal by playing it directly to the GK

Very true
Especially in tournaments
Either they purposely drag the ball to penalty, then nail you then.

Or they score 1 goal and lock up their defense,
Or one last minute shot in injury time.

If Nigeria day play desame way them day play for tournament we go day clamour for their head, but one way or the other they sabi squeeze result.........the day I fear Egypt was watching the 2010 afcon finals,Ghana literally throw their life at Egypt from the 1st minute to injury time, then boom last minute shot finish Ghana

The Arab World, The Western World, the Whole of the World that saw this "Algeria v Nigeria" Quarterfinals Giants Clash bowed to the superiority of the Nigerian team.

Some even called it a mismatch.

Even Samir Nasri of TheGoodJoe's Man City could not hide his thoughts....

Our boys too ensured that they started talking to the referee from the first minute to prevent the Algeriansfrom intimidating him

About a week or so before the AFCON, I posted some stats which highlighted Alex Iwobi's numerous defense splitting passes for Fulham this season, a lot of which led to a direct shot on goal from his teammates.

Now look at these AFCON stats. How impressive is this guy? cheesy

TheSuperNerd:
@emboldened... At halftime, I said Iwobi will keep doing what he is doing. He will find that gap and he did brilliantly for Nigeria's 2nd goal.

The Algerians were too careful in the 1st half and sometimes lucky when some of Iwobi's final third line breakers didnt punish them.

Iwobi, take your huge flowers for consistently probing and exploiting the gaps in between the Algerian midfield-defensive lines and the half spaces especially on the medial left side. A true Eagle Eye.

And let me add that defensively, Iwobi put it his best defensive shift of the Afcon so far today. Kudos Iwobinho!
we technically played against 10 men Algerian team . one was a police running after Osimhen and forgot his core duty ....
