It's a team game - Victor Osimhen (2026) 2 big chances created, 1 assist – for a top 9.

There was only one team on the pitch against Algeria. This was a 9/10 performance across the board. The only drawback was that we were not clinical enough. Game should have been 2 or 3-nil by HT. In KO football, you want to score as many goals as early as possible to kill the other team's morale. |

Would have loved us to face morroco in the final and do the double on their head. From the falcons to the eagles. Let's really dominate them but i guess semi final works too. |

This afcon is ours for the taking...Senegal, Egypt and Morocco are tiers beneath this super eagles... Egypt needed a last minute goal to beat Zimbabwe, was pressed to the brim by SA and drew with Angola and benin and now are in the semis Morocco struggled against the defense of Comoros, drew with a Mali that scored only one open play goal and almost got upsetted by Tanzania Senegal drew against congo who drew against Algeria making them the same tier imo and SE just bullied them today The super eagles would defeat Morocco by two goals and face Senegal in the finals where we would clinch our fourth title while the Arabs can battle it out for the 3rd place so they go home with something at least |

Danielnino00:Gentlemen, ladies, thank you all for your patience. Given the joy the super eagles have delivered so far, it become imperative to ensure that this award is finalised by the end of the AFCON tournament. Regardless of whether we win it or not, I'm sure the majority of us will agree that our national teams have done well last year and this year... On this note, we will proceed to selection of committee members. In the past, committee members were selected by popular vote where every member of the thread nominated the moniker he/she felt was deserving of the post based on their football knowledge and passion for our national teams. But the problem is that, most people who are nominated end up not showing up due to one commitment or the other. As a result, we will be going with the option employed last year where only Volunteers will make up the committee. The process is simple: if you are interested in being part of the nomination committee, quote this post with "interested". Other monikers can go ahead and like your post if they feel you're deserving of the post. The top 6 monikers with the post likes will join Icon4s (honourary member) who is the founding father of the award and myself to bring the total number of committee members to 8. The selection process is open starting now until 6pm on Wednesday, 14th January, 2026. Thank you. PS: Being member of the nomination committee is totally voluntarily...there is no monetary benefit or any other incentive attached to it. CC: Semid4lyfe |
