I think the most attractive NT jobs in CAF are:

Tier 1
Morocco - good talent pool, competent FA, resurgent footballing success, will be at the 26 WC
Senegal - very deep talent pool, especially some of their highly regarded youth. Will be at the 26 WC
CIV - deep talent pool as well, will be at the 26 WC

Tier 1.5
Nigeria - deep talent pool, one of the biggest names in CAF. However, no 26 WC and the NFF is a joke
Cameroon - decent talent pool, massive name in CAF. No 26 WC, FecaFoot is unpredictable

One major thing working in our favor is that opponents are yet to solve the new Eagles approach. We’re creating chances through direct attacks and build-up play rather than our usual wing-based patterns. Hopefully, our next opponent won’t crack the puzzle.

This Chelle's super eagles has played really well in this tournament, beyond my expectations in terms play and tactical execution on the pitch.
Kudos to the entire team,be focused and do not relax until this trophy is ours.

If we are to learn how to remain humble until the trophy is ours, it would even be better experience and enjoyment for us.

Another angle: Nigeria to shatter the host curse.

The first and last time Morocco hosted an Afcon was in 1988. The 1976 win for Morocco was in Ethiopia.

Now in 1988, Morocco also reached the Afcon semi finals as Host. Infact, Morocco entered the 1988 Afcon not only as host but as the African side with the best World Cup performance for an African side at the time (Round of 16 finish at 1986 WC).

They met a Cameroonian side that like Morocco was unbeaten at the '88 Afcon. Morocco, that was also unbeaten eventually fell 1-0. Cameroun went on to win the title stopping Nigeria.



In 2026, at Afcon 2025...

Morocco is host yet again. Morocco still ride on the tag of Africa's best performers at a World Cup (Semis at 2022 edition). Morocco is in the semis vs unbeaten and 100%-perfect run Nigeria.
It will be a bloody tough game but Nigeria will triumph only because we will prove to be too superior to the Moroccans.

This will also be redemption for the robbery we suffered in Maroc 1988.


Lastly remember... all the talk of 9pts 1st Placed teams at Afcon since 2019 crashing out in round of 16 vs 3rd placed sides on about 5 occasions or so with only Algeria in 2019 being the exception eventually got crushed by Nigeria when we took out Mozambique.

Now, again, we have this record talk of never beating a host nation at an Afcon in the KOs but again with one exception being in 2002 vs Mali (host). It is time to crush yet another historical pointer. Come wednesday, it is done.

Maroc 88 was the first AFCON I followed from start to finish. For me it was one of the most competitive AFCONs ever and also marked the beginning of Modern day AFCON.

For me as a Nigerian fan, going into the Morocco game, I am resting on the fact that the team has improved with each game and also having beaten other North African oppositions like Tunisia and Algeria. It is potentially a tougher game than the 4 previous and if we can beat Morocco I don't think Senegal/Egypt can stop us.
