What is your definition of affordable? There are people that 500k is affordable for. What I am saying invariably is for you to state your budget.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Calibrator: 12:04pm On Jan 12
Wanted to upgrade my Redmi 10c to Redmi 15, only to discover Redmi 15 doesn't not support screen splitting and floating window. It doesn't even have earphone jack.

Is Redmi 15 of 2025 not supposed to be better than 10c of 2022 in terms of functionalities, why upgrade only to enjoy fewer features?

Edakun.....
Which newer model support those highlighted features in the Redmi family?

Seems they've removed many features since they started this HyperOS thing. My redmi 8a then had split screen and floating window and also screen off video playback. Thought the 14c I bought would have them too but I was disappointed when it didn't have.

Mind you the 8a was 3gb ram while 14c is 4gb ram. It only shows that the hardware can support it, they just chose to remove those features and probably leave it on more expensive redmi devices

The best sound comes from wired earphones. No let them whine you. No matter how expensive the earbuds are, you'll still lose some audio quality

Seems I will stick with the 10c till end of the year be that.
I need the floating window feature especially for something important this 2026.

I actually prefer wired earphones still...Higher Fidelity sound, zero latency, stronger connection, you can find these qualities in some Bluetooth earbuds, but at almost triple, if not more, than the cost you'd use to get a wired headphones of similar quality.

True Audiophiles know wired earphones are the real deal. Apple started this gimmick of removing the earphone jack in the iPhone 7, primarily to market the Airpods, and other OEMS just ran with it..They also introduced the no charger in the box gimmick, talking about saving the planet and all that rubbish, why the price of the phone keeps increasing 😩. Glad not all OEM foolishly followed this silliness, because imagine buying, say a Samsung device, with no charger in the box, and knowing how fast charging is a propetiery tech, they actually expect me to have a 45 watts charger lying somewhere that conforms to there fast charging tech? 😩😩

My brother, "Green Line Issue" o. I changed the screen, added a few box to it and exchanged it for Poco F7. As at the time I changed the screen, the lines had become 4.

Say you want to be charging the phone and using the 3.5mm jack at the same time, doing both won't be possible.

that's the only advantage I see with the 3.5mm jack.
But this method is not safe oh. You risk electric shock and endangered your life

🤔 Generally, no major risk if your phone supports it. Using the 3.5mm jack and charging via USB at the same time typically isn't dangerous if:
- Your phone supports simultaneous use.
- You're using original or certified accessories.

Potential minor concerns:
- *Battery strain*: Charging while outputting audio might slightly increase heat, but modern phones handle this.
- *Audio quality*: Might get interference if your setup's not great.

If your phone's made in the last few years, you're likely good to go 😊. Still unsure? Check your phone's manual or specs.

Culled from Meta AI.

Once you buy IEM, you'd find it hard to make sense of Bluetooth earphones. Speaking from experience.
