I don't understand ur 12570 untaxed.. Because the government only tax 20% each month from my pay slip. The only time i got a refund was my first year which is the 12570 u talking about right?

We have people spending 40 to 50 million to UK right now on study visa.

You need to earn around £150 to £200 a day to cope with cost of living in the UK. £200 a week was what I was earning as a 17 year old apprentice in electroplating back in 2003.

UK won't give u visa as a labourer or a carer or anything less. Most people coming now pay as high as 40 million naira and above. I have those that arrived last September.

So tell me how u will recover that money with a savings less than 600 pounds per month for 1 and 6 months visa assuming u finish ur school and got a post study visa?


If u earn 2k pounds per month u pay tax of 400 remaining 1600, u pay rent 600, pay electricity and gas 200, pay phon 30,food 200,transport 150, council tax 130,some other expenses at the end u might have 400 or 500.
Multiply that 500 time 18 months then convert the remaining.

Anyone coming to UK through student visa now will have to plan strategically

Well, when most people underpay or do not pay for the electricity they use, plus when a minority are on the cost reflective band, you are not going to get good service.

It's like you go to a provisions shop where only 20% of the customers pay for what they buy, at the price the owner sets, the rest steal products, or pay half or one quarter of the price. You won't get good service as a result.

That's the problem with our electricity system. The vast majority, including the government and the rich, underpay or steal power. (Metering doesn't help, over 60% of consumers steal power). Since not enough profit is being made, there will be service problems for everyone including those who pay in full like you and me.

The gap in our exchange rate is what many are looking at, someone earning 20,000 pounds should be earning like 38.3 million naira, it's big in our eyes but that is no difference from someone earning our own 2.5 to 3 million naira per annum. What we use to measure is the exchange rate not considering the years of devaluation planned to manipulate the comprehension of our the earning ratios aren't so different.

That's Toun, that noise maker woman from Ogun State...she is just creating content.

Firstly, A labourer does not get job everyday, perhaps you get to work 3-4 times weekly max and may not even get 8hrs job.
Secondly, you will pay income tax, National Insurance, VAT, and corporation tax, among others.
Rent alone will gop around 600 pounds on the minimum from that.
Transport 100 pounds
Feeding 200 pounds (on budget)
Internet (compulsory) 24-40 pounds
other bills 200 pounds

At the end of the day, you will just be living with no plans or luck for breakthrough. You can't cheat the system.
