Well. That’s the same thing they do when two tribes are fighting and they belong of different religions. They will say Muslims are killing Christians. If you look at it, it’s often Hausa and another tribe fighting and it has nothing to do with religion.

Is that not what was used in part to justify the Christian genocide narrative? Majority of the IDPs in Benue State are due to the agelong conflict between Tiv and Jukun, but enemies of Nigeria lump everything up and framed it as genocide against Christians. Is better they start setting the records straight now, so that videos of burial of victims of that crisis would not be circulated as perpetrated by Muslims.

Don't mind them, they just want to start an alternate narrative. Yes, the early christians were quite violent, with the crusades, inquisition et al but all that is long gone. Are these ones perpetrating violence in Jesus name? Even if the militants are christians, the conflict is not religious based, they are fighting over land.

The Niger-Delta militants, irrespective of their religion are fighting for resource control. Other violent groups across the country also have their defined causes. So, it is totally wrong to give a religious tag except there is evidence that a particular religion is being propagated by the group.
