Outside this thread, I start panicking but once I come here, the faith of my brothers gives me assurance.

Point is that whether we win or lose, it's best to approach the game with faith.
exactly!!…especially now that the team is giving this 100% vibe of being the favorite to lift the cup, many people still carry fear paint themselves…wether we win or not, everyone here should have that 100% faith in the team…forget ref ojoro or not not….this is the best time to believe and be proud of super eagles, especially after that majestic dominant display over Algeria…if this guys win morocco in 90mins and go ahead to win Senegal or Egypt in 90mins…
Then they will pass as the best ever super eagles afcon squad…
i will rate them above 1980,1994 and 2013 afcon squad, cos those none of those ones recorded a 100% win from start to finish

I feel the Tunisians sacking their coach and trying to take Chelle from us is just a knee jerk reaction without thinking, if the goal is to have him perform at the world cup.

With the kind of talented players we have, see how long it took for us to blend into Chelle's system and start playing the way we are now? Do the Tunisians think it's magic that Chelle will perform? They will be in for a rude group stage knockout shock.

Unless we Dey go that World Cup true true any other country going to the World Cup that approach Chelle will snap him up forget first round spanking is it your spanking? 😂 Una Dey pay 50k then you want him to turn down 100k, as how na? If you’re his lawyer I trust na you go run am sharp sharp. No form holy holy here o delaw money for hand back for ground 😂

My prayer is for them to win. God, for Iwobi's sake, run am for this team. That boy doesn't have any trophy in his cabinet even after playing for such a long time.

See ehn, it's not about having him as a coach, do they have the proliferation of talents that we have? Nigeria is a coach's wet dream. The only draw back is our lack of organization and financial muscle.

The feat Chelle is achieving cannot be divorced from the quality of our players.
You're very correct

Chelle's main reason for coaching us is our talent pool

fifa verdict will come before march playoff. Still enough time for him to consider his options before the tournament.

That Osimhen factor is a big cheat code!
I'm even happier he scored in the last game and Lookman didn't..
Because they will focus more on him and less on Lookman
This should give Lookman opportunities to kill them
I just pray him brain no touch tomorrow
So if you are the coach, you won't focus on Lookman?

My concern is how Morocco and their FA are really having their way with CAF as if they have Motsepe's nudes. How can the same controversial referee of Morocco/Cameroon match be deployed for the semis for the same team- Morocco. I dont mind CAF going for European referees for AFCON going forward because the injustice is just too much

Lookman sef na big game player

He did it on a much bigger stage - the Europa league final

He knows the importance of this match

That's how leverkusen were unbeaten till that final

Make them no worry. I predict Morocco to go through because they have home advantage (if you know what I mean 😉)

I watched it too and I was reinforced in my view that he doesn't like Osimhen much.

Jay Jay and Mikel enjoying Morocco and be all out giving eagles morale support
This is very important oo. In Emenike's interview with Elegbete and Emmanuel Babanyaro, he said that on the eve of our match against CIV in 2013, Kanu and Okocha came to him and told him that guy do you know that you are better than Drogba?

This is crazy psyching oo cos at that time Drogba was a beast.

Well, the thing worked. Emenike scored and we won the match.

In this case now we have a world class attacking trio. So dem legends should just give the boys courage. Pump them up. I don't want to see fear in our players. If we gon lose, let's lose as men who fought courageously. I don't want to see that fear I saw when we played the last final and when we played DRC

Nahhh this afcon is tougher...Nigeria's path to the final is tougher than the last by miles and still they overcame the challenges unscathed

I watched the play of the 23 afcon and it was not as interesting or breathtaking as this set at all...the 2 man forward of osimehn and akor has really improved our attack and goal potency and if this squad met the 2023 afcon super eagles ... they would thrash them

but the NFF has not made the environment condusive for him, I heard he is being or was owed salary, then him getting double the pay, these are incentives that would make any coach reconsider. I pray he stays the NFF has to do better owing players and coach is absurd, sports administration is bigger than just paying salary, paying salary is even the basics but yet the NFF still struggles with the very basics

TheGoodJoe:
Why Formation Alone Doesn’t Win Matches

Many teams use the same formation yet play very differently.

That’s because what matters more is:
Player quality
Roles and instructions
Tactics in possession and out of possession
Team chemistry and understanding
Game management

This is exactly from your post and fully supports Finidi. So what is the point of posting what supports Finidi's point and try to argue against it.

Finidi is 100% right.
Formation is the basis of football. It is the foundation.
Formation provides structure, organisation and role interpretation.

You can't discuss football tactics without player setup.
There are certain offensive maneuvres that will be very hard to implement if you do not set up your players in a certain formation.

Finidi said that formation does not matter.
No one can defend Finidi.

You have added a little twist by saying formation alone does not matter. You should have left it exactly the same way it was said.

He praised Lookman. In fact he was insinuating that Lookman wasn't happy that's why he didn't shine in the last match and that we should make Lookman happy. I was like Lookman that was jumping all over Osimhen?

He lavished praise on Akor and Bassey. On Osimhen, he just glossed over the guy's performance.

I like Oliseh very much but I see why he can't make a good coach for Nigeria. He's somebody that will polarize the team. Remember how he sidelined Obi Mikel.

Uzoho, awaziem, ndidi, simon, iwobi, onuachu, chukwueze and osimhen are the only members of this team that have silver and bronze afcon medals. A medal is guaranteed at this point, they should ensure it is gold.

We have gone 1up throughout this tournament and have not lost or drawn any game...and osimehn unbeaten streak is still alive with us winning every game he scored in

I believe that shouldnt change against Morocco so I believe we'll win

Osimehn to score
