Tbh nothing to pressure about, yes it’s good to win but even if we don’t, we lost to the host and a good team.

Enjoy tomorrow game, don’t do this or that.

Me I feel pressure will mess the Moroccans up especially if they concede, the will just capitulate in front of their fans.

Lolll anything other than an AFCON win won't humble that 94 set. Goal Records na individual but winning a title is a teams pride my bro
We won an Afcon in 2013, did it humble them? Na that individual record be the thing gan gan, they just believe no other player can be greater than them!

For me the last time I saw the Eagles play this well and obliterate a top ranked African team in a tournament was 2013
Dominating win no argument, don't know why Algerians were salty
We should have won at least 4 nil
Players were missing quality chances
"obliterate a top ranked African team" against Mali in the semis?

Which one is rate again? Chelle used Oliseh's exact phrase and was with Oliseh not too long ago. It gave me chills and I hope it won't affect Chelle's train of thought.

Below is an excerpt of Oliseh before our Mozambique game. I first noticed it during Keshi's time.

If you’ve heard chelle speak a lot of times, he is a man that’s stubborn with his philosophy. Few moments with oliseh cannot sway him I believe

Pep Guardiola is not saying that formation does not matter.
He is simply telling you that a team can alter their setup during the course of a game, meaning that they can change or tweak formation.
The formation employed as the game started can be changed or tweaked as the game progresses.

Formation change or tweak is part of football tactics.

You cannot separate football formation from football tactics.

Gentlemen, ladies, thank you all for your patience.

Given the joy the super eagles have delivered so far, it become imperative to ensure that this award is finalised by the end of the AFCON tournament. Regardless of whether we win it or not, I'm sure the majority of us will agree that our national teams have done well last year and this year...

On this note, we will proceed to selection of committee members.
In the past, committee members were selected by popular vote where every member of the thread nominated the moniker he/she felt was deserving of the post based on their football knowledge and passion for our national teams. But the problem is that, most people who are nominated end up not showing up due to one commitment or the other.
As a result, we will be going with the option employed last year where only Volunteers will make up the committee.

The process is simple: if you are interested in being part of the nomination committee, quote this post with "interested". Other monikers can go ahead and like your post if they feel you're deserving of the post. The top 6 monikers with the post likes will join Icon4s (honourary member) who is the founding father of the award and myself to bring the total number of committee members to 8.

The selection process is open starting now until 6pm on Wednesday, 14th January, 2026.

Thank you.

PS: Being member of the nomination committee is totally voluntarily...there is no monetary benefit or any other incentive attached to it.

This post gave me chills.

That statement is straight from the books of Oliseh and I can't help but reflect on the picture of Oliseh with Chelle in camp.

I hope Chelle is not listening to that Oliseh's give them the ball and take the win talk.

If Chelle tries it, Nigeria will be cooked.

Chelle should stick to his philosophy. That is what has gotten him this far and will take him to the cup.
it was just a joke, one of the journalist at the press conference pointed it out, don’t know why many news outlet have been going about it like he meant it

It is not about if anything goes wrong. But, if we decide to sit back and give control to the Moroccans. Well I don't see Chelle abandoning his principles.

Our team has a high ceiling. The team will even get better after the AFCON if we keep the coaching crew. I have no issues especially seeing the way we play. This Morocco team have come a long way and they are the hosts. They should be the one playing under pressure. I feel very relaxed about this game

Being compact and stopping the opponents from playing is not an alien football philosophy that was invented by 'Sunday Oliseh', Eric Chelle is not going to him for advise my good man

If this super eagles set win's the AFCON, and do it by dominating the semifinal and the final just as they've done throughout this tournament,
They should be considered "the greatest Nigerian football team", surpassing the 94 set.

Baba so many things still dey plenty to use humble 1994 set oo…these guys achievements made huge history in football for us oo. From Tunisia 94(North Africa) heroics to USA 94 world cup group stage dominance, topping a group that has Argentina to USA Atlanta 96 Olympic….omo those guys were truly our golden generation oo…

I wish after Osimhen breaking Yekini record we go ahead to win the Morocco 2025 afcon(North Africa), then we go on to qualify for USA 2026 world cup and do well, and then some of this boy go to represent us and win the gold medal in USA Los Angeles 2028 Olympic….
Then we can now rest and relish the birth of a new set of golden generation

lai lai never oo, we can only tag them the best super eagles Afcon squad….baba make dem qualify to world cup and play there oo…winning the afcon with total dominance is a one step taken, they cant be the greatest Nigerian football team if they are yet to play at the world cup and even progress to the knockout stage
