To be honest Nigerian commentators especially ex eagles players are very terrible.They don't do research,they have little or no knowledge of football history.The last time I listened to Oliseh the only thing he said throughout is "the team is very tactical,the team is very tactical,the team is very tactical" ...kilode?

If it was destroyed.. why else was Keshi sacked if not for a run of extremely poor results and weird calluos like Reuben gabriel, shola ameobi, uzoenyi, uchebo, mba..et al. ..even a Gabriel okechukwu who wasn't a professional footballer was invited to the team!


Immediately after the world cup we suffered a massive slump of form and for the first time in 33yrs we suffered a loss on home soil against lowly Congo..then Tiny Sudan beat us away and we failed to beat South Africa (our whipping boys at the time) at home which ended us failing to qualify for Afcon for the first time in forever!



Oliseh has his faults but he definitely was not a bad coach. . At least his exploits as coach of Fortuna Sittard will always do him justice.

Sunday Oliseh, one of the most principled and straight-forward personalities in Nigerian football. Oliseh was never destructive as a player, he was principled to a fault. As a manager, he was successful and his only challenge was as Nigeria's manager which shouldn't be a big surprise.

Comments here shows exactly why jungle justice happens a lot in barbaric climes.

Seems you forget history sometimes....the team was doing well until he was employed n he decided to do away with all the old players n bring in new ones, instead of blending them.
He even gave the captain to Musa instead of Mikel or onazi.
He then had a public spat with our evergreen goalkeeper then being enyeama who took permission to go bury his mother. Oliseh begin para.
Abeg leave that man....

How can the team be doing well when we couldn't qualify for Afcon?..or even beat South Africa at home or even allow Congo Brazavile beat us at home?

Giving Musa the captainship band isn't supposed to be a problem in the first place. Chelle took the band from Simon and gave the band to Ndidi instead of osimhen and heavens didn't fall.

As for having a spat with Enyeama.. even Enyeama had a major spat with Siasia After which Siasia dropped him and brought in Dele Ayienugba Vs Guinea that cost us qualification to Afcon 2012.

Na you dey forget history.. not me.
